Came to this restaurant because I was craving a hot dish like the ones at home, and this was so worth it! The cream on top was not too spicy but very tasty. The frijoles and arroz were also good. Our server was super nice and came by every 15 mins to refill our horchatas. The cost per person would be around 20-35 depending on how much you want to spend but their prices are reasonable for the amount of food you are served. If I could give six stars, I would. Looking for authentic Mexican food in the Tri-Cities, we found this traditional hole in the wall restaurant with rave reviews. Honestly, it has been a long time since we've seen a restaurant with so many staunchly loyal advocates. We were driving through on our way home and felt inclined to stop for a sit down meal. Before we even ordered, we ran into a friend from home who was also passing through and stopped for a meal, which was further validation we made the right lunch choice. We were immediately impressed with the variety of meals available -- classic fare like tacos, burritos and enchiladas as well as more traditional variations like sopes, huaraches and tortas. We had the al pastor huarache and the pollo asada sopes. Both were stacked with toppings and the meat was shockingly flavorful. And for even more flavor, there's a chiller with a selection of salsas you must try. We were only passing through but next time, we will return with this destination in mind. I've driven by this spot several times, didn't really think much of it. But today, I was craving chilaquiles. So I did a little research and this place kept coming up as having really good chilaquiles. We dedecided to give a try, and oh boy we were not disappointed at all. The service was exceptional, super attentive. I ordered the salsa Verde chilaquiles con nuevo, my partner in crime had huevos con chorizo. The quilaquiles were crunchy, the eggs were cook perfectly, the beans and rice were delicious as well. The homemade tortillas for the huevos con chorizo remained me of back home. Came for some street tacos and they were anything but like street tacos other than in cost (most are $2 per taco). I mean, they put lettuce in the tacos. And there were no onions. And there was hardly any cilantro. The meat, especially the chicken, was clearly leftover crap pieces that were recycled into the tacos. Boo. Oh, and my colleague had hair in her taco. A super black one. She's a blonde. The chips, which are made in house, were nice and greasy. They paired really well with the house habanero salsa. They do take a while to make so order them as soon as you sit down. The food overall takes a long time so don't come here if you are in a rush. read more

We stopped by for dinner given the great reviews it had. However our experience wasn't so great. We ordered steak strips in green chile sauce and pollo a la crema. Pros: clean establishment, homey feel, steak strips in green sauce was good! They have beer :) and the beans were good! Cons: the pollo a la crema has Loya of potatoes. I have never, in all the different places I've been to and ordered pollo a la crema had them add potatoes. Some of the chicken was still raw :( the augura fresca i ordered tasted like it was made from a package and not fresh. The rice was not so tasty, bland. All in all, we won't be returning. Dealbreaker when you serve very pink and bloody chicken. read more

Wow, could not believe the food we got here. I am not a picky eater and when it comes to Mexican food, it is very difficult for me to not like the food. But this restaurant just beat every lowness. We ordered soup, chicken fajita and two kids menu cheese quesadilla. Soup was the only edible item but with two big skinned pieces in the middle of it was totally unpresentable. Chicken fajita felt like it was cooked several hours or a day ago. The only fresh item was freshly cut onion and pepper. Then the best part : prices were double the general restaurant prices ie it almost felt we were paying upscale price. Overall we paid $65 for above 4 items. So, if you are looking for Mexican food and don't want to ruin your evening and taste buds, avoid this place at all cost. read more

Food was pretty good, we had tacos. Tortillas and salsa we're good. Unfortunately the service was not good and the waitress refused to speak to me because I did not speak Spanish. She literally cut me off mid order, I was ordering 2 tacos which is pretty universal. When I said thank you, she completely ignored me. Very off putting. read more

The food was excellent and good layout. Been looking for a good place to eat authentic Mexican here. We've gone to a few place in tri cities which from looking at yelp ads were awful Mexican food with high rating. Most are what I call "hot plate", which they just throw in the oven and all the food looks the same. Not good. This place is great and we will be back more. read more
