I had the carne asada plate. The meat was wonderful. It had a great char and it was seasoned so perfectly. The rice lacked flavor but was cooked well. The beans were weirdly sour. I think they might have been going bad. The tortillas claim to be handmade but they definitely weren't made to order. Atmosphere was a little loud with sports playing on the TV. Be careful when ordering food to go. Pricing on Yelp, on the restaurant's own website, and on DoorDash shows the price for menu item "La Pachanga" at 99.99 or under. Normally, I order delivery through DoorDash but today I chose to order by phone and to pickup in person. My husband went in to pay for the order and they charged our card $157.03. The cashier claimed that was the correct total for the order. We didn't order any extras at all. I later called to verify the price and the same person who charged my husband answered the phone and when I asked the price for "La Pachanga" she answered saying it was $157 without even having to think about it. She tried to claim the pricing on DoorDash and the company's own website was wrong and she stated thay any order coming through from DoorDash for that item would be cancalled and re-charged at the higher price. I ordered the same item from DoorDash 2 months ago and only paid 99.99 for that item. The food is good but sadly we won't be returning due to sketchy practices. read more

Portions and food quality were great, but the menu doesn't provide meal descriptions and states that no substitutions are allowed for many food choices. Which is probably the reason I didn't think to ask what kind of sauce they were going to put on my burrito, and ended up with crema when I would have preferred rojo or verde. Did a door dash and the food was still delicious. The el Diablo salsa has great flavor and spicyness. Ordered the Mary y terria and loved trying the shrimp, chicken, and asada. The asada was my favorite. Also ordered the enchilada divorciadas. The green enchilada was my favorite, and might order three of those the next time. The guacamole was delicious. Our complimentary basket of chips was a mountain, and it was still warm having just been fried. Not overly salted either, so that the salsa could really do all the talking. The salsa wasn't just water, it was a little thicker and had a kick! As for the main meals, we had the "Fajita Burrito" and "Mexican Enchiladas". Both dishes came with a handsome amount of meat in them. The fajita sauce blended so nicely with the peppers and onions in the burrito, and the tortilla was so soft it just about melted in my mouth. The prices are really high for what you get, even allowing for recent inflation. I'll give it a 2 because I would consider it a "decent" Mexican food option for Evansville. The street tacos (not to be confused with regular sized tacos) are $3 each. There was maybe a tablespoon of meat, a sprinkling of cilantro and onions, and that was it, for $3. Husband had the Torta. It did not look like the picture. There was not even enough meat to cover the bread. I wish I had taken a picture. I can't believe I haven't left a review yet! I've eaten here several times now and it's always amazing. It's clean inside and service is outstanding. I got the tacos al carbon and I'm in pain. Pain because I was glutinous. I could only eat two out of the three because they are so big. Not to mention I went to town on the chips and salsa. Salsa is bomb. I remember the first time I came here, before they remodeled. I had the feeling I was going to need to recite the Rosary (which I don't know) just to get my food. Religious icons everywhere. The remodel is great, place looks really nice inside and out, very comfortable but still stylish. You get your Spanish tv too, usually a soccer match on, which I love. The service is always friendly, and even your first time they greet you like an old friend. I love that. They have a good selection of alchoholic beverages, I have just never tried myself. One day I will go when I don't have to work that night... Anyway, the food. I can not say enough good things about their food. I have tried all kinds of things from their menu, and have never been dissappointed. My big favorite right now is the Colorado Burrito. The clincher is the red sauce on it. There is something amazing I can't place. It has a spice like cinnamon but a little more earthy. Can't tell you for sure but I love it. And folks who don't go for super spicy will like this too because this dish is all about flavor. And those who do will be happy too. I have brought lots of friends and family here and everyone has left happy. Oh, I forgot to mention their chips and salsa! Chips are warm when they arrive. Salsa, has flavor, but doesn't hurt. I like to order ahead of time because my lunch time is limited, I showed up in person to order, again, because the tacos are a must have and i ask them if they take phone orders and the young lady in the front said they do. I asked why they never answer the phone then since we keep calling and calling and she said she could of have stepped to the restroom and the front was unattended I get one call not being answered but multiple calls ?? different days?? Alright grab a cold beer and buckle up for this review.... Okay so me and my wife decided to try this restaurant out the other day since I'm fairly new to the area and I like supporting the local small business community. So we said " hey let's try out Mexico Lindo" so we walked in and it wasn't to busy, it was a little after 5ish and we were able to get a booth next to a family that was louder than needed but hey that's life right?? We were greeted my our server and proceeded to make our selection. I of course ate the chip basket and almost choked on one ( not the restaurant fault, my fault) By this point this place is on track for a 5 star rating!!! But this is where it took a dive in the 3 star bucket, so our host was being cordial enough with us and it came to topic that I am Japanese/ Hispanic. At which point I was told I didn't look Asian and then asked me to speak Japanese. One of the other workers said " oh wow I'm part Korean!" And I'm like " hey girl hey!! We just became friends" but okay we're getting off topic .... The nail in the coffin was when the girl jokingly make her eyes slanted with her fingers to look Asian and said " I can look Asian too in front of me" .. I'm in my 30s so I'm not a millennial that's offended by everything, but I don't tolerate racial things like that. Joking or not, it wasn't really something that should have been done. She was a younger woman so I'll give her that maybe maturity hasn't fully set it.( lord knows it took me Forever) , suggestion is that you just treat everyone the same when they walk in the door and whether or not they are of a different ethnic group.
