We were told our vendors can come at 5 the earliest to set up because there was an event prior to hours. My decor team and DJ arrived at 5 in the pouring rain only to come to locked doors and no lights on being denied entry. When reached out to Lisa to ask can my team and dj in, we were told to stand in the rain until 6pm. When asked can we at least put stuff in the lobby so stuff would not get wet we were still told no. After asking over and over finally close to 6 pm the dj n vendor were allowed to placed their products and equipment and the bottom of the steps. Smh. Now when reaching the venue after 6 to begin set up nothing was prepared just chairs and tables. No chafer sets to put food out nothing. I will not recommend this venue to a soul. Lisa in my opinion speaks stern and very rude. Reaching out to her is difficult because you receive responses later. New management would not be a bad idea. The only nice staff in the establishment was the security team.

The woman gave me the run down on ancillary services that may come into play, like catering & security staff, fine, but when I asked about basic rental fee for the space she launched into this script on "well, they are different fees for different types of events like editorial shoots are one price while other events may differ in price". Um, thanks bc I just gave you the specifics on the event I'm planning, maybe we can focus on the costs associated with that type of event? She was clearly attempting to evade price information (why I'm uncertain) so I frustratingly just ended the circular conversation.

I got a hot chocolate and my friend got a hot tea. The hot chocolate was $3 and some change, and was very rich and creamy. I was asked if I wanted whipped cream on top, but I decided to skip it for the morning. The vibe inside is very chill and welcoming, and I loved hearing our voices echo off the ceiling of the place. Immaculately clean as well! Public bathrooms are in the basement behind the front desk.

Long before it became an event venue, it was home to the legendary Tunnel nightclub... one of the most unforgettable nightlife spots in New York City during the 1990s. The music, the atmosphere, the industrial design, and the incredible crowds made it a place people still talk about decades later. It's amazing that the building still stands, preserving a piece of NYC history. I only wish there were more reminders of its past, whether through historical displays, photos, or special events celebrating the Tunnel era. So many legendary nights and memories were made within these walls. New York has always been a city that reinvents itself, but it's also important to remember the places that helped shape its culture. Bringing back even a small tribute to Tunnel would be an incredible way to honor that legacy. The exposed brick is a cool feature which was left over from the original structure and gives it personality compared to today's barren glass, steel, and colorless palates. I had a chance to wander this space recently for an event and as it was a nice day the ability to step into an outside corridor which connects a few other small businesses to take in some sun and fresh air was welcomed.

I recently stayed at the Radio Hotel for 22 nights while traveling for work. The hotel has a…read moremodern, colorful design. Everything was clean, well maintained, and the rooms were comfortable. This is also a great option if you're looking to save money while visiting New York City. Both the bus and the train are within about a five-minute walk, making it easy to get into Manhattan without paying Manhattan hotel prices. One perk I really enjoyed was that the hotel gives you a card for a complimentary drink each day, which you can redeem at the front desk or at the restaurant downstairs. Almost every morning I grabbed a coffee before heading to work. I want to give a special shoutout to the staff. I hope I'm spelling their names correctly Larry, Nabras, and Nicky. They truly made my 22-night stay feel like home. They were always friendly, welcoming, and willing to help with anything I needed. Employees like them are what turn a good stay into a great one. My only suggestion would be to add a dresser or more shelving in the rooms. During a longer stay, it would have been nice to unpack and organize my clothes instead of living out of a suitcase. The only real downside for me was the noise. As a 50-year-old traveling for work, getting a good night's sleep is important. I could hear people in the neighboring rooms, guests walking above me, and music from events on the patio. My room was on the 4th floor facing the outside, so it's possible a higher floor or a room on the opposite side would have been quieter. If you're a light sleeper and plan on staying for multiple nights, I'd recommend bringing a pair of earplugs just in case. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would absolutely consider staying here again. The excellent staff, convenient location, and modern hotel made the positives outweigh the negatives.
