Ate here while in town for work and it was delicious. The salsa is super flavorful, and the black beans were excellent (and a nice change, since many Mexican restaurants don't offer them). Did not visit this location, but visited the Joplin location in the old Marias on 32nd. This place is bussin!!!! Salsa is badass, hot salsa is even more badass. I work in Joplin every Friday, stop in here every week and it is just consistently badass. Love this place, major upgrade from Marias!!!!! read more

Nice place that I had never seen on my prior visits in Neosho. Came here in Mother's Day so I was very busy but we were seat promptly. We were told that the restaurant is ran by the owners family and they were all very nice and accommodating, I ordered a beef Neosho Burrito and over all it was very good and will be back! read more

If you're looking for great tasting Mexican food with vast menu options, this place is for you. On our visit within our party of ten, we had fajitas, steak and eggs, and the speedy lunch among other items. The most interesting option that was tried today were the build your own lettuce wraps. I think they might be on to something with that! Everything you could want in a wrap/taco without the carbs! Our party was large, and on this particular day, they seemed under-staffed. Made a quick overnight trip to Indigo Sky Casino and Resort. Happy we opted to check out El Caballo versus the casino restaurants. Chips were thin and crispy. Queso was delicious. Was shocked when we walked inside. From the outside it is very unimpressive and we were not sure if it was a restaurant. It is on the end of a older strip mall next to a Save A Lot and a shoe store. Once inside though it looked like one of many restaurants I have been to in Mexico right down to the dance floor and stage for a band. It has a large menu and the staff was attentive and friendly. Ordered a 18 oz frozen margarita for $4.99. It was ok but I wasn't there for the drinks. I am a big burrito fan so I ordered the big Brutus steak burrito. The flavor of the grilled flank steak was strong and rich and was complimented well by the chipotle sauce that was served on the side. The burrito was large and filling and smothered in quest. My wife had the pollo masaltan and was very satisfied. It comes with a skewer of large jumbo shrimp that were perfectly seasoned. The grilled onions were my wife's favorite part. I am rarely in this part of the country but I know that because of all the poultry processing farms there is a huge Hispanic population and a Mexican restaurant would be a great idea. If I am ever in Neosho again I will definitely stop by again! I just regret I couldn't be there when one of the bands were playing! read more

If you enjoy eating Mexican food that tastes the same no matter where you eat it, this restaurant is not for you. They do it excellent here. There own especial recipes. I had the pork enchiladas. Very good. There tortillas were different and the pulled pork tasted like it just came off a wood-fired grill. Service can't be beat. Prices very fair. One suggestion: I did ask for their Hotter table sauce. I got one only slightly more spicy than their mild table sauce. Hot means habanero heat. Bring it! We'll be back soon. read more

I've been here a few times and the food is always good. They have great chips here. I mainly wanted to put how hard these people work. The two times I've been in here, it's been noon on a Sunday. It's packed with people. Everyone is seated as quickly as possible, they had our food out very quickly (even with so many people), and they were still attentive to us. I just kept seeing the staff moving very quickly to serve everyone. The food itself is good. It doesn't blow me away, but it is very good Mexican food. I will be back. On the good side, the place is large and clean and there is plenty of parking. Sadly though, the food is very hit and miss with more misses. For example, last night I stopped in to place a to-go order. It took 35-40 minutes. Seriously. No exaggeration. When I got home one of the items, the king fajitas was barely room temperature almost cold. The other entrée, the chili Colorado, was nice and warm. The King Fajitas were so cooked that the shrimp were hard eraser texture and the portion was so sparse that if you spread all the pieces across the metal container you would've still seen lots of the bottom of the container. There might have been half a dozen pieces of onion and bell pepper in the mix. Usually $13 fajita servings are generous enough to feed two people; this was good for a child or an adult with a very small appetite. Plus the meat was over cooked and cold and there was not much else there, literally a few pieces of bell pepper and onion. Oh there was also no guacamole which is customarily served with fajitas. The Chili Colorado was equally disappointing. I was so looking forward to big, tender chunks of beef slow roasted in red sauce! Nope. I got thin strips of beef that were like jerky they were so over cooked. Then they had been tossed in a red sauce. You can't reheat old thin strips of beef and throw some enchilada sauce on it and call it chili Colorado. read more

As part of a family in town for a reunion, we all decided to show up at this establishment for dinner at pretty much the same time. Probably 20 or more in all. They quickly and politely accommodated each "family" group in the same area. They kindly gave separate checks and responded to multiple special requests for various items. All of this with a pleasant and attentive attitude. Because there were so many of us, I was able to sample several items. My favorite was hands down the chili verde. It was very flavorful and delicious. The verde sauce alone could make anything taste good! The asada meat looked really good too. Thank you very much to the staff, cook and guitarist. We have been enjoying this place since 2017 and still love it! I think the Acapulco Shrimp is my favorite. Shrimp is cooked in a creamy bacon sauce and always arrives at the table SO SO hot I have to wait 2 minutes before I can eat it....that's a GOOD THING to me! We have only dined here once so far, but it was extremely good. My husband and I just ordered lunch specials but I'd probably get a little more adventurous next time. My steak enchilada was great and the bean burrito was better than average. We both really liked their rice, and their salsa was among the best I've had as was the chile relleno I sampled. They had some very good specials on both food and margaritas and other drinks, even at midday on a Saturday. Huge menu with a lot of variety. I purchased dinner on the door dash pick up option through this restaurant. The app told me it would be ready between 6:30-6:40. I arrived at approximately 6:35. I walked in and it took 10 minutes before someone helped me. Then they asked me to sit and wait. I did not get my food until 7:05. When I got home my enchiladas were ice cold. My wife called, not being rude, and explained the situation. The man on the phone basically said that our food had been ready for 45 minutes and we were late.... then he changed the story saying that it was her fault the food was cold because we ordered ice cream. First time here. The food was really great the atmosphere is nice. Lights could be a little dimmer. The fact that they have live music is really nice. It was a solo acoustic guitar player.
