This is the last night on our epic road trip. This is the last dinner on the road. We stopped at crabby, seafood bar, and Grill in Joplin because we saw great things online. That is one of our issues though. Is the menu online is different Than the menu in the restaurant my wife had her heart set on duck, but there is no duck. She changed to the crab cake instead. The crabcakes were fairly large, and not overly bread. They were very good. I had the seafood medley, which was a great value for the price. The scallops were probably the best thing on the plate. They work perfectly. We started off the meal with Aji tuna nachos. that was the best bite of food tonight. They were delicious and we scarf them all down. If you are coming on a weekend evening, please make sure to call ahead for a reservation. We are very happy with the amount of parking. As we are out of towners, it's always nice to find a restaurant where parking is easy. The ambiance was cozy. Our service was great, Maddie was our server and I highly recommend her!

This place is an absolute hidden gem! The food was absolutely delicious and even as someone who doesn't enjoy vegetable, I didn't mind them one bit-so good. Our waiter was very nice and helpful and the food came out pretty quickly. The place itself is very pretty, the hanging lights are beautiful and the vibe is all around great. They have art hanging all over and I'm not sure but I think you can buy some, most art pieces have price tags. This was a very epic experience and I was super impressed with it. I will definitely be coming back!

Great service with fun ambiance. Happy hour is 4-7 and includes drinks and some appetizers. I would recommend getting an entree with sides as I didn't feel that the chowder soup and Caesar salad were substantial enough. The seafood was fresh and cooked perfectly.

Ahi tuna, scallops, all the great things.

A Joplin local favorite and the best choice in seafood around! Plus a great, dark & cozy atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious cocktails. Crabby's is always top of list for a great experience!

Food and service were great But it was noisy, it was hard to hear each other. They need some kind of noise absorption there.

It looks like a hole in a wall place. I wasn't aware of this place until it was recommended to me. When you walk in there are string lights hanging from the ceiling that creates a lovely ambiance. It's a great place for a date or a celebration. But you can totally come in casual attire. There is bar seating and a back room area to eat. The food is decently priced and all tastes great. There is complimentary bread served! The service is awesome as well. You can't go wrong with anything you order!

My husband and I wanted to try a new place to eat, so we tried Crabby's. We did not have a reservation, so we ended up eating at the bar, which was fine with us. Tip: make a reservation if you want a table without having to wait. We didn't know this before we went. It's an adorable little hole-in-the-wall type restaurant with a little ambiance. There were twinkle lights hung throughout the restaurant, and it could be a romantic date night, but there were also people there in casual clothing. Logan was the bartender who also took our order since we were at the bar. He was friendly and knew a lot of the people who came in. At first glance, we weren't sure if the food would fill us up (but I think that's just because here in America we're expecting jumbo portions), but it did! We were perfectly content when we left, and the food was incredible. We will be back!

Our server's recommendations were spot on, and we would definitely return to try other food selections if we get the chance to visit Joplin again. Started out with the crab spinach artichoke dip with homemade pita chips, which were deliciously addictive. The homemade rolls that came with our entrees were equally addictive. Who would've thought that a seafood place would have orange chicken as one of its entrees?! But hands down this was one of the best orange chicken I've ever eaten...crispy breaded chicken in citrus sauce that wasn't overwhelmingly tart. My salad came with a honey lavender dressing which I never had before but it's now my favorite. My husband had the hanger steak and shrimp as well as the seafood chowder....all very yummy. Chowder was creamy, steak seared to medium rare perfection and grilled shrimp was delicious too. Ambience was pleasant and relaxed. Shoutout to server Jake P for these yummy recommendations....thank you :)

Unfortunately, the seafood boils were very disappointing and fell far below expectations. The ingredients appeared low quality and were served lukewarm, which really impacted the experience. The crab legs were extremely difficult to crack, likely due to improper cooking and holding, making them nearly inedible. There was also a noticeable lack of seasoning across the boil no seasoning on the crab, crawfish, potatoes, or corn, and even the butter was unseasoned. I would also do away with oysters as they need to be extremely fresh to be served, and if we can't go above and beyond with fresh imports I don't see the point. On a positive note, the gator bites were excellent and absolutely deserve a permanent spot on the menu they were flavorful and clearly prepared with care. The Louisiana pan-fried special was also quite good. Unfortunately, the seafood boil alone was enough to keep us from returning unless significant improvements are made, this really shows the quality of the seafood and the integrity on this item isn't there with quality.

Yet, Joplin has one of the best Mexican food restaurants I've ever eaten in. A mix of authentic and Tex-Mex. For example: steak is one of their specialties and is offered on many items. It's a thin steak but what a great flavor! Not dressed up with a bunch of condiments which let's that wonderful chargrilled flavor through. And they serve huge pieces. Then they have French fries with steak pieces {a lot!}, and dressed like all the way nachos. And they have a huge menu. Order a drink and read it through. If you're a chili relleno lover, don't leave without getting one. Authentic red chili sauce and a large amount of cheese in the middle. I don't want to skip further mention of the drinks. They are large and they are good! Unbelievably, they use fresh juices in their drinks. If you've never had a margarita with fresh fruit juice. these are out of this world good. But unlike most Mexican places, they also offer craft drinks (blackberry) and they too are huge and good . Beer of corse is plentiful. The variety, the music but especially the food elevate this restaurant to my highest recommended Mexican restaurant anywhere in the US. (The service is good but only if you get the guy that's always buzzing around or if you speak Spanish.. or take your translating earbuds ). I went back home last time dreaming of this place and couldn't wait to get there on this trip. And just a note: The Habaneros in the orange building on some busy street (sorry I'm a tourist) is not, I hear, owned by the same people. I don't know about the others. Final word: hurry to Habaneros on Main before someone steals their chef and their bartender, as is what usually happens to really good chefs and bartenders. They can make or break a restaurant, as I often state. Bon Appetito!
