Service is quick, friendly and efficient. Everything seems fresh and well made. They could stand a new roof since there were a few buckets sitting around to catch leaks from the rain. But overall it's a great place for a good Mexican meal. We went on a Friday and discovered the special was beef or chicken fajitas for 2 for $11.99. And this wasn't an abbreviated version either. The food here has really good flavor! Their portions are a little conservative. I'm picky when it comes to chips and salsa and theirs are both great. I usually get whatever the special is for that day. Saturdays they have $1 domestic beer which is great. The place is drafty though because its small and they use each door on different sides of the building. Not the mention the gentleman's restroom is located outside. Huge menu with lots of options! Very reasonably priced on food and drinks. Always good food, every time I go. My only complaint is if you get a queso with a carryout order they put the small queso (that is like $2.99 or $3.99) in a to go sauce container. Salsa was flavorful. Service was prompt, food came fast even by Mexican Restaurant standards. Chile's Rellenos weren't overstuffed with cheese, so the pepper got a chance to shine. Red Sauce had obvious chunks of tomatoes, which was a very nice surprise! read more

I gave this place only 2 stars because of what happened when we first walked in. First impressions are everything. We walked in on a Sunday night, my husband, 3 kids and I. 2 employees stood at the bar that was directly in front of the enterance. The both acknowledged us. They did not offer to assist us AT ALL. I mean completely ignored us. It was so incredibly rude how they almost seemed to blatantly ignore us as if we would just turn around and go away. They were not very. One of them, a young man who was a waiter I guess, stood at the bar, awkwardly not doing anything, and the other an older Hispanic woman wiped down the bar at the counter, eyeing the young man as if to handle the people standing at the door. A couple walked in behind us and they were IMMEDIATELY helped. I was like WHAT IN THE WORLD? FINALLY, the young man walked towards us as if being hugely inconvenienced, and said "Can I HELP you with something?" Um, excuse me? No, we just came here to stand in the door and smell the food. After we were finally seated we had a very friendly and accommodating waiter, I cannot recall his name. The food was very good, although the margaritas were WAY too strong. Almost straight tequila. My mom ordered guacamole dip and we all ate some and it was delicious. She ordered a second bowl and claimed when she got to the bottom of the bowl the dip was brown and may have possibly been old dip or bad avocados were used. The next day she fell ill and 2 days after that she was diagnosed with Gastroenteritis. She is positive it came from the restaurant. She was sick for a week. Although none of the rest of us got sick, we will probably not be back. read more

Local, Catholic family runs this business. Awesome people. Great food. They serve authentic Mexican food for an amazing price. On Tuesdays they have $1 tacos. I like their gorilla burrito. This is by far the best authentic Mexican in Pittsburg. The food is excellent and the service has always been great. The menu selections are huge so there is always something new to try, the salsa is great and if you like it more spicy than what they bring to you ask them for some of their hot salsa. This restaurant has moved and is currently (Nov 2015) on Pine, north of PSU and just a couple blocks south of Memorial Auditorium. I couldn't find the actual updated street address but it's very easy to miss even with a nice sized building and ample parking. Inside it's spacious and service is attentive if a little slower than most. I wasn't a fan of the salsa (it reminded me of jarred pasta sauce?!) but the chips were good and more importantly my meal was fantastic. I had their version of huevos con chorizo and it was perfection (and a nice large portion) done omelet style with delicious rice & salad to accompany the main event. My husband tried the fish and wholeheartedly approved. We were in a party of six and everyone (!) raved about their meals...can't beat that. Good prices too. Their menu is massive with a lot more variety than even some of our favorite MO/KS/OK Mexican restaurants. Will return for sure! read more
