There are cottages available for rent but we have our own RV and stayed in the RV park; which was clean and spacious. The pool area was surrounded by cabanas and areas to buy drinks there were live bands as well. The staff were friendly and the food at the cafe was good, the fitness center was very basic with weights and stationary bikes. The place is cashless but there's a discount for paying with cash for your actual stay.

My hubby and I were quite impressed with this resort! Attended during a benefit BBQ competition for Vets w PTSD. They raised more than 50k in auctions alone plus the owner bid and just donated two things back. Really nice family and event. RV: Family owned resort in a small ranching town. Spacious even pull through spot, nice picnic table w FHU 50/30. Trash service in the AM. Felt very safe there. Pool: Laid back pool resort environment with $6ish beers at swim up bar .. seems spendy but considering operating costs of a gorgeous pool like that .. I get it. Water is warm and fire pit for night. Rope swing, splash pad and slide. Even a belly flop competition. So many of these places have resort fees per person, not here. Lazy River with tubes included although it seemed like you could bring your own floatie. Security check point at pool entrance so no bringing in a cooler or booze. Other: Wibit open Saturdays only. There was an arcade, nice gym and showers. The best was we had the national anthem, pledge of allegiance and a prayer during the day ... it was nice to see national pride! Simply stated ... we had a blast!

Waited a couple days after our stay to write this review. This is a nice park to stay. Big, level concrete spots. Plenty of room to maneuver and set up. We enjoyed the pool that was open, the activities for kids, and camper treating Saturday night. Our grandchildren had a good time. However we learned upon arrival that the Wibit area was closed seasonally. The restaurant was only open for Saturday and I would bring your own food. It's priced for convenience not for quality. Almost everything is priced with a fee for convenience. I get it. We all want to make money. However we felt that Lost Lagoon was over priced for what we got. Several people I talked to were also disappointed in the facility. They agreed the pictures are very misleading and the landing page should clearly state what's open and when.

The only reason they are getting 2 stars from me is because the pool was great. We stayed in a cabin that was suppose to have internet and cable and we didn't get either. I talked to the staff and they said if we wanted internet or cable we had to purchase a premium internet package. As soon as we got to the cabin to start making food we realized we were not the only one's staying in our cabin. FLYS! BITING FLIES!! You can't go outside or in your cabin without being swarmed by flies. When I asked a member of the staff he said their was nothing they could do about the flies and the only option was to "go to California" (rude) we ended up going to Walmart and getting fly traps but they were not enough. The bar at the pool was covered with flies as well. I don't know how the health department hasn't gotten involved yet. Thcabin was nice but for the price we paid I rather go to a waterpark and not have bites all over myself and family when we leave. Update: I spoke to the front desk about the flies and the man that told us to go to California if we didn't like the flies. They said they would talk to the owners about getting a credit for a future stay and I have heard back from them 0 times. I have tried to follow up 2 times and I am now fed up with this place. If you don't want to be covered in flies at your cabin or rv site then chose another place. I will not be recommending this place to anyone.

All was great. We used the facility as a evacuation site. When inquire about true paid charges and discount since we got good sam membership, though they didn't have good sam discount, they did though offer us a discount anyway because of evacuees status due to hurricane Ida. Not sure if the owner actually live on the site but he did often come and check around the campground. He was pretty nice and considered. Amenities wise: all was great, we didn't get to go on the obstacle course wibit since it was close during the weekdays, but the pool was nice, not the biggest but it was a nice size. The kiddie lagoon was very much enjoyable for our kids as well as the lazy River. My hubby and son loved the rope swing into the pool. Not I, not that daring but they sure had fun with it.

We stayed here this past week and thought this place was just ok. The pool was really great but it got pretty packed on the weekend and it felt weird being so close to so many people in a pool. The lazy river was a nice touch. I think my biggest complaint was the alcohol situation. There is a guy checking bags to get into the pool area, which I perfectly understand because of TABC. I don't like not being able to bring a small cooler bag with water and drinks for the kids. I also was not able to have my own personal supply of beer to avoid the exorbitant resort prices they were charging for alcohol. I find it very hard (morally) to shell out $6 or $7 for a beer and $10+ for a cocktail. There also seemed to be a lack of shade anywhere in the entire place. We did not even go to the playground with the kids because there is no shade anywhere, just open sun. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. They offer propane refill too which is a plus. My 5 yr old son loved fishing in the canal and caught two bass. Overall it was a good place to try but not somewhere I'd keep coming back to.

Loved our visit to this RV resort and waterpark. Something for everyone. Live music, swim-up bar and plenty of fun in the water for the kiddos. Super big concrete full hook-up RV sites. Definitely will be going back.

Love El Campo Lost Lagoon! We've spent The whole summer here and have loved every single day! The pool is awesome and the staff is wonderful! Great food & drinks in the cafe right next to the pool. Swim up bar in the pool. Couldn't ask for better.

It was all of our first time here at Splashway Waterpark and we were super impressed! From purchasing our tickets online to getting inside the park things were super easy and breezy. Like everyone else has been noting be prepared to fill out a waiver for entrance when you arrive as each person in your party will need to fill one out (digital/online) and show a QR code of your confirmation before you get access to the park. It was awesome we were able to bring it our own food, snacks, and drinks on our own! I loved this option as we have some picky eaters and drinkers and ultimately saved on costs for us on buying essentials like bottled water and electrolyte drinks to keep us hydrated of course! But don't worry if you don't come with anything as there are plenty of food options and fresh food & drinks for you to order throughout the park. We opted for funnel cakes to boozy margaritas and even pizza too! Rides and features for the waterpark were so much fun and safe. We had such a great time walking around exploring what we wanted to get on and beat through the June heat. Plenty of tubes and lifeguards all around to make your fun even safer and a no-brainer to try all of the rides. We especially loved the cool and semi-rapid lazy river. Their lazy river was wide and feels much longer than other Texas waterparks we have been to. We loved it so much we spent most of our time here. We didn't do any of the campground parking or RV grounds use as we had a hotel in a nearby town to be able to hang out with each other and have some hotel accommodations so I cannot speak to that experience here. Lockers were super easy to use and rent so don't fret about any valuables you have as they will be safe. There are 3 options for locker sizes too that can hold things like wallet & phone only (if needed) or a large bags and ice coolers. We were super impressed with our overall experience and will definitely be back in the next year for sure.

However, I do wish they would put some temporary doggy bag stations since not everyone picked up after their dogs unfortunately. Tickets were $5 per dog and comes with a human ticket. Their check in process was quick, a waiver is required to be signed prior to entry. Parking was free and plenty, there were a fee concessions stands open offering funnel cakes, ice cream, fries and tots. I like how you can bring a reusable water bottle to refill using their drink station. My dog had a time running around and barking at everything. May return for future Bark N' Waves events.

I decided not to change my clothes as I felt uncomfortable doing so. I told guest services and they said they would handle it. We came back today, and OMG, the same slats were bent and there were even more openings. people were peeking into the stalls and giggling and laughing. The doors would not lock, so people were opening the doors, exposing 8-12 year old boys to the crowds. finally, I managed to get into a stall, I am an adult, so I tried to change out of my bathing suit into my clothes. i turned away from the door and tried to hold the handle with my hand as the door would not lock. the kids outside the door were laughing as they could see my butt through the bent slats and they were laughing and making comments. and they kept trying to open the door, which I was trying to hold closed...... totally inappropriate. I told guest services and the girl said "ok, I will pass your comments on to management" and then went back to chatting with her friends. the other adults with me reported similar issues, being exposed as others opened doors that would not lock or comments from kids that were peering through the bent slats..... not ever going back here again. and if you go, I recommend you take a buddy to the bathroom to block the door and prevent others from peeking into and seeing you change clothes

Firstly, any business that supports specials needs is already great in my book. I read reviews of the long lines, so I gave myself an extra 30 minutes to get there. It was not needed at all. Yes, the line was long, but I purchased tickets online so I didn't have to wait in line for that, and as soon as the clock struck 8pm, the line moved very quickly. We didn't wait for longer than a few minutes. My kiddos thought the wait would be long (and so did I) so they went off to the playground to kill time. Little did I know as soon as they made it, doors were opening so I had to get out of line to go get them then get at the end of the line. Even with that, I'd say it was less than two minutes of waiting. Once inside, I noticed the park was very clean. There was plenty of seating as well as tubes available. The kids opted to spend almost all of their time in the lazy river. Warning: it moves a little fast. I had trouble keeping up lol. There are regular lifeguards that are on the deck observing the kiddos, and there are guards that are actually inside the water interacting with the kids. My two boys were paired with such a sweet angel that gave them the BEST experience. Towards the end of the night, another guard joined them. The boys were on their backs racing and showing off their "tricks." The girls even took them on two of the rides (which I wouldn't have taken them as I am terrified of even the slightest thrill rides). I wish I would have gotten the girls' names as they really took care of my boys. I didn't order any food as the event was only two hours long, and we ate dinner before we left, but food was available for sale, and you also have the option of bringing your own. I brought water for everyone, but we were in the water the whole time so we didn't get to it. Next time, I'll leave it in the car so I don't have to tote anything around.
