Stopped by here to get lunch and it's a combined Mexican market and food place. They have tables and chairs inside the market for you to sit and eat. You order your food from the cashier and pay. I ordered 1 Al Pastor and 2 carne asada tacos and the total was $6.00. The kitchen is right next tot he cashier and they will make the tacos with the meat you ordered and you will have to put your desired garnishes and sauce on yourself. I ordered take out and the tacos were tasty, the Al Pastor was a little greasy but it was to be expected. Not a bad place for a quick lunch and may be other items in the future. read more

Good friendly place for tacos. They serve them naked and you walk down the line and load up your own toppings of red or green sauce, cilantro, onions, etc. Today I decided to try the tamales but they were a disappointment. I asked if they came smothered in any sauce, and was told they came with a mole sauce, but that was fake news lol. They were dry and plain. We stopped here on the way to Bethany from D.C., it was awesome! Super authentic, make their own sauces, and everything was super fresh. I got chorizo tacos, and my wife got a veggie burrito. The guy who took our order was really nice too, asked us if we had any questions about the sauces or ingredients (we're not Mexican) If you like delicious (and cheap) Mexican check this place out. We didn't know what to expect when we happened upon El Charro on College Park Lane today for lunch while in the area. Hole in the wall storefront that included groceries and clothing items! The young man that waited us couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. Still weren't sure what the food would be like. It was awesome! There is a serve yourself toppings bar for whatever you order. I tried their red hot sauce even though the woman who was cooking cautioned me. It was definitely hot, but great! On a random stop home from Assateague we found this little gem...best quesadilla I've ever had, and the customer service was fantastic!

Excellent experience. It looks likes a store at first (it is too) and it may seem a little intimidating and uncomfortable upon walking in but the girl at the counter was so friendly and accommodating, you overcome it quickly. We had the steak burrito, chicken and cheese quesadillas and pork sopes, all were delicious and authentic. Very well priced. read more

I use to live in the area now I'm an hour away but whenever I'm in the area I always stop by. Huge Mexican food fan & they have the best sopes I've ever tried. Got my boyfriend hooked on this place also we eat anywhere else & we always say this is good but not as good as El Charro! The fresh salsa and the condiment bar is my favorite you can load it up just the way you like. A gem! read more

I know there's a lot of places to get authentic Mexican in Georgetown and found my way here. I was not disappointed. They were very nice and the food was delicious. I didn't get a photo of my food because I dug right in. I'm sad I live in Dover so I can't go more often. read more

Authentic Mexican...don't be turned off by the store front...go in and order it's all excellent. Mostly a-la carte but my family tried one in each category and they were all excellent! The sauces were extremely fresh and they have a little bar to add fresh cilantro, onions, sauces, etc to your food. Order at the counter and pick up your food when they bring it out; you won't be disappointed. This is about as authentic and close as you can get to being in Mexico. And the staff was super sweet and spoke English very well. read more
