You can make reservations or just walk in. They offer a variety of seating options. Bar, tables or booths. My favorite appetizers are sweet potato fries and Parmesan zucchini. Perfection in taste and serving sizes. During this visit I chose the rib eye steak . It was cooked to my request, flavorful and very tender. For my sides I chose a fully loaded potato and buttered corn Serving sizes are large, I have enough leftovers to take home for at least q more meal. It is a bit on the chilly side so bring a sweater or light jacket. Give Mike'S a try, you won't regret it.

Besides the reviews here I had heard from a few locals that this place was a good place for dinner and nobody has anything bad to say about it. I'm happy to confirm that was the same result for us. We were seated quickly even without a reservation around 5:30 this evening. We ordered the bang bang shrimp for an appetizer and a round of cocktails. They were served fairly quickly considering how busy they were at the time. For dinner I got the pecan crusted white fish and my friend got the blackened white fish. Both tasted delicious which was great. My wife got a Cesar salad and a loaded bake potato and it was also good. The service was great as well. The waiter and other staff were very attentive and checked on us regularly. The overall feel of the place is casual upscale. It's nice without being fancy. It has kind of a rustic vibe to it that is nice to look at. We enjoyed our experience here and would come back again when we're in town.

We get seated and order drinks, which were the best part of this experience, but also when we got the first of a pattern of bad news. They were out of the blackberries in one of their signature cocktails. We subbed in blueberry and went to order mains. They were out of the duck beast, so I went with the lobster Mac and cheese. The princess ordered salmon and whipped potatoes. You may notice that her plate didn't have potatoes. That's because they ran out of those too, on a very slow Friday night. It took about 45 mins to get our food and in that time our waitress never topped up our water or asked if we wanted another cocktail, which we would have gotten if she did. The food came out and I realized why it took so long. The lobster was broiled so hard it was stringy and dry It was almost impossible to get out of the shell. After about half of a half of tail I decided it wasn't worth it and waited until I got home where I could do it in a more uncivilized manor. The sauce was fantastic, although the pasta was cooked until it was mush sadly. The salmon was dramatically over cooked as well. It was greatly past well done in order to get the crust on both sides of the fish, instead of just the presentation side. There is a reason culinary school teaches it that way... It was too dry for her to eat more than half, even with the sauce. The whole meal was a disappointment. We heard another couple order dessert, and guess what? They were out of cheesecake too. This place won't be open much longer and I see now why it was empty during a prime dining time.

Brown's Catfish in Russellville, Arkansas - A Local Gem with a Buffet That'll Win You Over (Even If…read moreYou're Not a Buffet Person) We stumbled across Brown's Catfish in Russellville after hearing some good things and decided to give it a shot. My wife loves catfish. I, on the other hand, have a soft spot for buffets--mostly because I like a little bit of everything and a lot of the desserts. Normally, my wife avoids buffets like they're haunted, but after checking out some photos and hearing the buzz, even she was curious. So, next time we were in town, we made a stop. First thing we noticed: this place was packed. It felt like all of Russellville had shown up for dinner--but that's usually a good sign. Even with the crowd, the place was impressively clean. The staff was on top of it--constantly wiping things down, restocking, and making sure everything looked fresh. They even had gloves available at the buffet, which was a nice touch. Now, onto the food--which is really why you're here, right? The buffet lineup is stacked. There's a full salad bar for those trying to make their plate look balanced before diving into fried deliciousness. Sides included southern staples like corn on the cob, candied carrots, beans, and a solid gumbo. The entrée station had different styles of catfish (including Cajun and regular), shrimp, crab cakes, and chicken strips. Sometimes they even serve chicken on the bone if you catch them at the right time. Dessert? Let's just say the four major buffet food groups were represented: warm cobbler, cookies, cinnamon rolls, and soft-serve ice cream. My wife basically fell in love with the cinnamon rolls and now refers to them as "worth the trip alone." The inside is cozy and decked out with plenty of southern decor to look at while you try to justify going back for a third plate. There's lots of seating, and even though it was busy, it never felt cramped--which is a big win in my book, since I'm not exactly small and appreciate a little elbow room when going after fried catfish. The service was top-notch. Friendly staff, quick to refill drinks and clear plates, and just all-around attentive. You can tell they take pride in the place, and it shows. Now, I'll be honest--every review needs one tiny critique. The chicken tenders were a bit on the chewy side, and not just once. We've been there three or four times now, and it's always the same. Not undercooked, just... chewy. My son, a self-declared chicken tender expert, confirmed it too. It could be the cooking temp or the type of chicken they're using, but it's a minor flaw in an otherwise fantastic spread. Bottom line: Brown's Catfish is a must-stop if you're in Russellville. It's a locally-loved spot that lives up to the hype. My wife, the buffet skeptic, is now a full-on believer--and every time we're in town, she's the one asking to go back. Between the catfish, the cinnamon rolls, and the warm hometown feel, Brown's is officially in our rotation. Support your local spots--especially the ones that serve catfish this good.

My wife alone doesn't eat that much. I would be the only person who made it worth it. 2. Drinks are NOT included in the buffet. I think they should add drinks the buffet wasn't exactly huge maybe two or 3 meats, a few sides, and a couple desserts. 3. You have to pay a cover if you want to see the band even if you get the buffet. I personally think if you are eating somewhere that the entertainment should be free. It would have been $69 if we stayed for the buffet and band "not including tip." That's crazy for 3 people!!! Dover is a very small place so kind of expect small town prices. Everyone we talked to was extremely friendly and willing to accommodate, but I think their prices need to come down, and throw in the entertainment if you buy a buffet. They did allow the local school to set up a bake sale inside and that's nice, but I think if the buffet included a drink and was $12 they'd get more business.
