Got there around 8pm and we sat immediately. Place was full but a table for two was open. We sat down and they took our order. I ordered 3 pastor tacos and 3 asadas with cheese. I also ordered a horchata to drink. The tacos came out pretty quickly. The pastor was really good. But the star of the show was the asada WITH CHEESE. The cheese is the key. They fry up the cheese on the griddle and it gives it a slightly brown color from the heat. The asada taco with cheese is the best tacos I've ever had. If you go here order this! I ended up ordering 2 more asadas with cheese because it was so good. They have some delicious salsa at the table as well as pico de gallo and of course lime. I also ordered a jaricalla which is similar to flan. Very delicious! This place is a must stop restaurant when in Guadalajara. It does get pretty busy for a good reason. I got one crispy taco and it came with caramelized onions that were just perfect. The salsa on the side consisted of one main red salsa that was spicy so if you can handle it, go for it! I put it both in the taco and inside the consommé with some chopped onion and cucumber and fresh lime and oh my God it hit so great. The server came back to the table and asked if I was OK and I said are you kidding me? This is delicious and he nodded and smiled. The server asked if I wanted anything else but I honestly was on the search for some coffee so I hung out for a little while and it was super chill, and I noticed a lot of Uber eats orders so I know it's very popular with the locals five out of five highly recommend super delicious and super umami. Her food came out and they brought a raw salmon dish instead of the tuna. Not sure what happened but we speak Spanish so it wasn't an English to Spanish problem. She said the salmon tasted nasty and asked if she could send it back. The waiter said they would have to pay for it out of their own pocket if we didn't want it. Thats a weird way to run a restaurant. I consider that bad service. So be warned if you order something and dont like it youre stuck with it! My enchiladas were really good though. He also heard it was our first time in Tequila and had another employee buy cantaritos/delicious cocktails from a place he recommended. Lastly, when there was a scuffle between 2 men down the street, he went to go intervene and offered them food (as I believe they were unhoused/in need). I really got a feel for the friendly, hospitable, and caring culture that the people of Mexico show to tourists (and their neighbors). Highly recommend!!!
