    Mangonada Express

This is one of my go-to places in Nacogdoches for elote & mangonadas. They've changed how they make their mangonandas recently so they're more mango-y & less icy now & definitely better. Their elotes are good, but there are probably better places in nac if that's what you're going for but they are definitely better than they used to be & they've always been good. I've gotten a few other menu items & they've all been pretty good.

This place is good, but very expensive. One Mangonada is over 4 dollars. Staff needs to learn some customer skills service.

BR has been on the decline nationwide but I haven't complained before. Being an optimist, I kept…read morehoping it would turnaround. But I'm about to give up. Today's North St shop was a little messy but not bad. The dead fly in the display cup sitting on the display case was icky but that could have just happened. The bathroom not having toilet paper may have just happened but the roll of paper towels set on the dispenser spot makes me think there's a management issue. Then the service. The young lady at the drive up clearly was busy and after waiting, going to the rest room, returning and waiting a bit more she turned to tell me she'd be right with me. After a while the guy making a sandwich (and had seen another day smiling, friendly, helpful) went to the DD side and stood there. After a bit another customer said the guy/clerk was trying to get my attention for an order. Ahhhh, I had no clue since I was facing the BR ice cream display at the far end and he was mostly hidden by displays at the far end of the DD area. I went over to let him know I wanted ice cream and then he went to the ice cream side. Hmmm.... Not sure what that was about. As he approached the ice cream area he walked with his eyes closed like he was asleep or about to pass out. Then he looked at me so I asked for a sample and he gave me a big scoop of a new flavor. Should I have asked if he was ok? Was he upset over something or ill or angry? No clue. I asked for 1 scoop. He put a spoon on the display top and I realized he wasn't going to offer scoop or cone so I pointed to a picture of the cone I wanted and asked if I could have that, though I didn't see any out. My mistake I now realize. He took stuff off an old box on a shelf and got out the cone, serving a generous portion. He said nothing as he rang me up then said the total while telling the trainee (? who was complaining someone moved the directions), that she was supposed to memorize the list. She replied she has memory lapses. Hmmm, and where's their supervisor to get the customer service back on track? I'm guessing someone gave this poor guy the Supervisor or Trainer's workload but no title or pay. Clearly he was demotivated compared to the last time I ate there. Back then he was the perfect customer service guy. So, back to my realization. The ice cream was perfect. The cone was less tasty than the paper wrapper on it. Stale, almost leathery. More like wet cardboard than cone. After the first bite I was too grossed out by the whole experience that I didn't want the cone anymore. Really I think BR has pushed me out their door and on to a competitor.

Out of everything. No waffle cones of any kind. Regular cone was stale. I've had the best…read morestrawberry sundaes from Baskin Robbins, but not at this location. Got the feeling they didn't want to make anything except just plain ice cream cone.

So I recently discovered a new way to be more reclusive. Anyways, I recently discovered mobile…read moreordering, which even though they've been having mobile issues. I am really good and perfectly efficient in being able to explain how I want my burger, but it feels so much easier just sending it to them in there sonic codes and at this point I hit ASAP, pay w/ the mobile app, and by the time I leave my apartment I get there, type my stall #in and it appears in maybe a couple minutes. But let me be real, do not clog them up w/ ASAP orders if you know and can choose 30 minutes, if you're the type that takes 1/2 an hour to get around Nac Like some folks I know. Also don't give these poor hard-working folks grief. Mistakes happen, is that how YOU want to be talked to? If you can afford to tip $1 and literally I've seen a girl do a 180 over being give a tip. I could tell she must not of had the best day so far, and I wasn't even sure how much longer she had, I just could tell she wasn't having her best day, she almost sadly thanked ME, told ME to have a good day and went to walk off... but I,unemployed by the way, had $1 in my wallet after having a few bucks and Said "Wait!" And handed her the $1 and I know that made a better impact on her day based on the genuine smile on her face, so when you pull up in you're caddy's, suburbans, y'all know, that $1 you could spare could make an employees day. I do it every chance I get... unfortunately lately I haven't had any cash. Or much $. So yeah maybe head's up to Rusty to tell Corporate to come fix whatever, or get their shh together over the mobile ordering issues, like please tell me other than driving out to the one on the south side of town where I'm supposed to get my beloved cheese tots & vanilla Dr Pepper. Also Rusty would it kill you to get the (outsourced) fountain cleaned, it's an eyesore at this point. Y'all are my go-to for my afternoon pick me up! Oh and 1 last thing, look is there a secret way to get a hamburger patty w/ some sort of seasoning? In full disclosure while I may love Sonic for plenty of reasons I feel like y'all have the least flavorful burger in town.
