Went on a Tuesday night and this place was packed in the tiny town of Creedmoor! We met the owner, Alejandro & he was very warm, hospitable & on it with water refills (the key to my hydration loving heart). Food was great; I knowingly over ordered the enchiladas Rancheras because I wanted to try one of everything. It was 5 enchiladas: ground beef, chicken, bean, cheese and beef tips All was topped with red sauce, guac & sour cream. My favorite was the bean enchilada, it was super creamy. I will probably order a tray of those next time! Ask for the house salsa verde, it was a great condiment for everything. They care about the customer & the food quality here. read more

The carnitas are my favorite I'm lucky enough to live very close to this restaurant, so I've been here just about every week recently. The staff here is very kind and accommodating. We stopped in on our way back to Raleigh, and it was an awesome experience. I had the shrimp fajita and husband had the burrito fajita. Both were delicious. Pretty decent for Creedmoor. I am a resident of Creedmoor so I knew what to expect for a small town restaurant. The salsa reminds me of spaghetti sauce for some reason. It's like it doesn't have enough/any onions or cilantro. I just tasted tomato paste and some sort of seasoning. Missing that "spice" of traditional Mexican salsa. The food is good though! Clean, roomy, nicely decorated and staffed with awesome servers. Standard Mexican fare is offered plus more! Expanded menu includes fish, smoked pork chops, and healthy dishes. I had grilled veggies and shrimp. It comes covered with cheese sauce, but I asked for mine on the side. Hubby had grilled shrimp, rice, tortillas and guacamole salad. The service is faster than Taco Bell and our food was fresh and perfectly cooked. Generous servings at reasonable prices. Good for large groups as there is a second dining room that could be used for private parties. There are two TVs in the dining room. I'm not a fan, especially when women boxing was on. Really? Right next door is the City Tavern where you can continue your night out on Creedmoor's Main Street. Great newly paved parking lot shared by both businesses, plus free street parking. read more

I live in butner and i rather go here then any other Mexican restaurant in the area, love the food really authentic!

Why would you serve that? That is the question I found myself asking. You can look at the picture I will attach. The carrots are like brown and grey and the cauliflower is also brown and only the stem. I am actually insulted that they would put that in my food. One start FOR SURE. Other than that the pork chops were super salty and kind of fatty. The salsa was actually pretty good but the chips were kind of stale and flavorless. I dont know what to say other than that. A picture is worth a thousand words so I will let the photo speak for itself. The carrots and cauliflower in the picture are NOT that color because they were grilled or something...they are that color because they are old and disgusting. For shame El Corral. It's time to give an update. I've been here dozens of times over the past Year and a half + and I have yet to be disappointed. The staff knows what I like and how I like things prepared, as in HOT! Case in point, last evening... I had a plate of grilled jalapenos and onions come out just before my shrimp fajitas came to the table, and what a complement they were to my meal. Service has improved tremendously since our first few visits, inquiring into our hobbies, even asking where the rest of the family is when we don't all come in together. Finally, a Mexican/Tex-Mex place in NC that understands what "Hot & Spicy" means. In my opinion, if it doesn't make me sweat, it's not hot. After the freezing temperatures these past few days, it was good to sweat a little! Love this place, and after visiting back to El Rio once, all I can say is El Corral has better food, better service and everything else it takes to more than be just competitive, but also to excel beyond one's expectations. read more

As an Arizona native who is Hispanic, El Corral has become one of my top Mexican food places in North Carolina. This is a hard review to make because I like to support local businesses. I love the staff and usually the food is pretty good. Lately it has become a little if'y. One about a month or two ago, night I pulled a hair out of my guacamole. And not mine, wrong color and curly. I mentioned it in jest to one of the staff, but I don't think she understood what I was saying, so I let it go. The other night I was there and ordered dinner. I ate half of it and put the other half in a to-go box. Fast forward I am notw eating my boxed up food, I pull out another hair! And no, it wasn't mine. Wrong length. read more
