Was here two years ago and enjoyed it so much I went back. Everything's is about the same, only the price changed and by 2 euro. It's still more to eat outside which I don't understand. Every tapa was delicious. The caramelized goat cheese and ham croquette were my favorites. That desert is so good and everyone enjoyed their free beverage. You could pick from soda, wine, beer or sangria. Not sure when I'll be back to Barcelona but I suspect this will be on my places to go again! I will say I was very disappointed to hear the staff taking advantage of Americans asking if a tip should be added. This is not customary in Spain and not a single other establishment has asked that my entire stay. Pintos were fresh and had variety. It was a very pleasant experience to sit and watch customers come and go. The only thing I did not like was that the server very pointedly suggested that I add a one or two euro tip to the bill. Being easily bullied, I added one euro. I hadn't yet tipped in Spain, but I thought it wasn't expected. And, that it was generally thought they got paid a living wage. Anyway, I hope someone corrects me if I am wrong. Rude wait staff. The tourist island that I live we always try to share Aloha with all non locals that are visiting us. Aloha can mean, when greeting another person with aloha, there is mutual regard and friendliness. We did not receive this from this restaurants server. We seated ourself at the tables outside and a waiter came out, we were looking at menus, we attended to order drinks and dessert. My husband said we would like to order drinks and dessert, and he snapped "if you aren't going to eat food, you can't sit here" We were taken back by his rudeness and left. As a volunteer that speaks with tourist from around the world, I would never be rude to a guest visiting my home. If you love where you live, one should proudly represent it. So this is where we learned that there is an "inside" price and and an "outside" price to eat in most Barcelona restaurants. Here it is clearly posted on their window that 4 Tapas, a drink and a dessert for €12 euro or €13.5 outside. Still, go for outside in the fresh air with all the other patrons and we got to see a show in the courtyard in front of the church. This place makes it easy because everything is out there for those of us who don't know what to order or are not experienced in buying tapas. You go in yourself and pick the items and you tell your waiter/waitress. My wife and I shared one order and I ordered an extra beer. To begin, we walked in and saw flies around several tables - we should've left after just seeing that but we decided to give it a chance. There was a special of 4 tapas 1 drink and dessert for €13.50 per person. The vermouth that we ordered cost €1 euro extra - fine - but it was absolutely undrinkable. It tasted like it was mixed with rubbing alcohol. The mancheso tapa was really the only thing that was decent and the server clearly hated his job and was very disconnected and looking at his phone after he finished talking to us. I have a fairly large Instagram following for local Barcelona guides and will tell my followers to avoid this place until the service and quality improve. read more

A great place to stop for lunch! They offer a wonderful deal posted on their windows, 4 pinxtos, 1 drink (beer and sangria included) and a lemon gelato for 10 euro! The pinxtos are plentiful and they offer a large variety to choose from. My favorite was the brûlée goat cheese with a thin slice of tomato on a sliced baguette. All the flavors worked so well! I'm not all that into the sweet and savory thing but ... this was amazing! They have a good mixture of fried foods, cheese, hams, and Spanish omelettes. Offering one of the best deals in Barcelona, it's a must stop assuming they're still having that special. My girlfriend and I were in Spain in August 2015, and after bouncing from tapas place to tapas place we found ourselves at El Drac de Sant Jordi beckoning us from afar with a counter full of tapas. We came for the Tapas but stayed for the special they were running that night - for 10 euros, you get your choice of four individual tapas, sangria, and a "dessert" mixed drink (we had a lemon sorbet). The Tapas were very good and the alcohol was strong and on point. It was by far the best deal in Barcelona, and if they have the same thing or something similar, definitely take advantage. read more

Because my boyfriend hesitated a moment before choosing a table and asked him to wait before taking his order, the waiter followed me inside like a cop and confronted me with the words: "What do you want?' I am not kidding. I told him "I'd like to may be order something to eat, something to drink and use the batthroom.Is that OK with you?" was my response. His response: "Bathrooms are for clients."
