    Cod/cognac and teriyaki salmon

Great restaurant! We went three times!! The cod/cognac sauce is the best - I will be dreaming of it for a long time! We tried: naan with alioli, tuna tataki, cod and salmon and mushroom, salmon, beet and octopus carpaccio and OMG - so good! The drinks (strawberry and lavender g&t) were awesome. All of the waiters were great - super friendly and helpful! Definitely recommend if you are in the area - reservations are a good idea, but you can usually make same day.

    Bruschetta yummy

We were en route to Córdoba and wanted to have lunch close to the beach. EL Gato Lounge kept its reputation and we loved the ambience, food and service, nothing short to excellence... The Brushetta, cheese platter, Shrimp and curry chicken were just amazing and delicious. The service was quick and of high standard. Highly recommend if you are looking to relax with great food and breathtaking views of the ocean.

Loved the appetizers/tapas- grilled peppers, bruschetta, and Caprese salad. Beautiful presentation and excellent service. Photos are of the chicken curry (free range chicken) and Iberian ham with potatoes. All dishes were delicious!! A must try and a must return some day!

Had a great dinner with my family here while spending a few days by the beach. Three of us got the tapas experience that comes on a three-tiered shelf. Some of our favourites were the salmorejo, croquettes and the green peppers. The place has a lively atmosphere that gets better as the night goes on, mostly that's to the light-up drinks they serve at night. Great location by the water as well.

We had an amazing meal. Shrimp in crispy dough with sweet chili sauce and fries. Hamburger with bacon and fries. Salad with shrimp, chicken, pineapple, ham, Parmesan cheese and a balsamic glaze. Baguette with Gouda and York ham. Brie with walnuts and honey. They were all amazing!

Tapas Box. Part of the Tapas experience. Well worth it. And impressive to look at.

A super find in touristy Torremolinos. Moroccan influenced Tapas. Unique and yummy. Add to it good…read moreservice and a nice casual ambience. Makes for a perfect meal on vacation. Highly recommend this place. We looked at the 6 reviews before mine and decided to give it a shot. Well worth it. Kids loved it too.

After checking into our hotel, we walked around and randomly ended up eating at this restaurant…read more Its great food and I'm glad to be the first to review it on Yelp, in the hopes that other folks will also discover this lovely gem. First of all, the staff and owner are all super lovely and kind. The owner spoke excellent English and helped us with the menu selection and explained the food components. I loved the whimsy of the menu with its musical odes to singers and song writers spanning rock, country and opera. The artwork on the walls matches the vibrancy and artistry of the menu plus they played great background music, so all combined into a feast of the senses. We started of with lovely Morrocan Mint tea, which tasted super and then I went for the Tasting Menu which included innovative dishes such as Elvis's Hips (a Tapas Winner for 2014), Pavarotti's Vigor (Lamb and Couscous) and they were kind enough to substitute a Salad instead of Janis Joplin's Strength which had beef which I don't eat. I thought the flavours of the food were sublime and loved every bite. So end verdict? Super happy that we were able to visit Vintage 8 as art, music, food and hospitality combine to create a wonderful culinary experience and I highly recommend his restaurant. Yelp Review 100/ 2017

Wow. Just wow. Prior…read moreto our visit here, we thought tapas (in the cities we visited in Spain) was relatively the same: here, there, and everywhere. Ham this. Chorizo that. Anchovy the other. Surely our purview was limited, but the evidence was overwhelming: Most restaurants' idea of tapas seemed largely one-dimensional and, thus, to us, unappetizing and uninteresting. Enter Calendula, which was recommended to us by the owner of Boomerang (a great little bar a stone's throw from Calendula) and, voila, we were back on the tapas wagon. Yes, this restaurant includes many of the "I've seen that elsewhere" options, but it makes each dish its very own. The starter was a mini-plate of simosas that we proceed to order eight more of. We had chicken strips, a bit o' fish, some veggie things...I can't really remember the specifics, but I do remember scarfing everything in sight. My partner shared my enthusiasm and we cleaned every plate. Granted, these are tapas (so the portions are relatively small), but you can order larger plates if you so desire. It's also important to know that the menu is relatively limited, but it's in no way lacking. If two uber-picky eaters like us can find and enjoy numerous dishes, surely so can you! The setting is relatively sparse (we at outside), but we visited around 9:30PM and the evening, the lighting, and the surrounds (not to mention the food!) were perfectly charming. BOTTOM LINE: This is a relatively new tapas restaurant that takes an inventive approach to the tapas it creates. We thought everything was delicious and you likely will as well! I highly recommend it.
