A Tapa's Bar in the truest sense with a standing room only space. Two locations right across from each other -looks like they go back and forth for opening hours. It gets crowded and loud soon after they open at 8:30 for dinner after closing for a few hours post lunch. No English menus but that's ok. Come in, open up your Translator and make friends with the servers behind the Bar. It will be so worth it. I started with a Verdejo and first Tapa was the Torezznos de Soria (Fried Pork Belly). Had this as an appetizer back home and this version is so much better-salty, crunch outside, tender inside-beyond delicious! Next was the Carilladda de Cerdo (Pork Cheeks) had the taste/texture of Short Rib-super tender and tasty. Solomillo à la Poniente-tenderloin with creamy sauce taking it over the top. Pinchito de Cordero (grilled lamb cubes) so tender and without the gamey. Pulpo Frito (fried octopus)-first time having it and enjoyed it. De Buey (their mini burger)-cooked medium rare and leaves you wanting a few more. 2nd visit-Busanos (snails-not escargot), -Ostras (Oysters), -Flamenquin Cordobes (deep fried ham/cheese in a roll-delicious), -Lomo en Manteca (pork loin in lard mini sandwich), -Pinchito de longanizo (sausage skewer) a little spicy, nice snap and salty, -Sombretito de Cabra (fried goat cheese with honey) on the bottom, slice of eggplant and tomato, -Sardines ahumadas (smoked sardines) with tomato on bottom-salty oily-delicious, -Cazuelita de christorra de Arbizu-salty sausage pieces pair nicely with Bravas. Great service! They had Melon Chello, YUMMY GOOD mellon flavor liquor. Pizza was pretty, I would ask for more sauce and to be cooked a little bit longer on the crust next time. Salad delicious meat mixed salad and for that alone without big mayonnaise, need olive oil and vinegar always best! Our friends had eggplant arm and eggplant stuffed and it looked good, I didn't get a test because they didn't share, lol. They gobbled every last bite down. While this city is changing to suit tourist... you can still find a few places like this which has been around for a while. And no english menus so brush up on your Spanish. The spicy potatoes are killer. The place gets packed so find your spot and hold your ground. It's loud with Spanish talkers. It's a typical Malagean eatery! Recommended by a local, Orellana has amazing tapas and seafood. It's a typical tiny tapas bar of locals and tourists alike. They have a menu, but all their food it out so if you don't speak spanish, you can literally point to whatever looks good. My mom and I came here for lunch and it was quiet, but when we came back for dinner (yes, twice in the same day) it was packed. Seating is very limited, as it's just a bar and some stools. The bartenders don't speak much english and are preferable to the locals, but after we complimented them on how good everthing was they warmed up quickly. When we left they laughed and told us "hasta manaña!" We wished... Hands down, some of the best food we had in Spain. read more

Food was just Ok, they heat up some preñada tapas in a microwave what I find not of a good quality, the waiter was rude, mocking us because of being Argentinean, he was unhelpful when I ask vegetarian tapas saying they didn't have and realizing after they had many serving to other customers, he was unaand rude. This place is next to a row of some tourist restaurants, but is much more authentic, with a counter and just a few tables, packed and a bunch of great tapas and beat. The snails, ham, olives and shrimp were delicious. Highly recommended for the spirit of the real tapas experience. read more
