    Paella

This place was listed as a good place to eat in Barcelona, but I wouldn't come back. We got some of their meat dishes and things were dry. The one good dish we had was their black rice paella, which had a good amount of seafood and wasn't too salty like other paellas we have had. We got the sangria as well, it was good! We did find a piece of plastic wrapper in the jug and told the waiter who replaced it. A bit disappointed, but if you go get the black rice paella! They have indoor and outdoor seating.

We stopped here after a long day of shopping and walking around the city. It is a huge authentic Spanish food restaurant that feels like you are in a family home eating. They offered great pricing and a lot of choices for food including paella. Although I was looking for a lighter meal, the paella options did look enticing. I got the shrimp with garlic and fries accompanied by a sangria of course. The sangria was so good I had two. The staff was attentive and friendly.

Coming from someone in the US, this restaurant was fantastic! The seafood paella is sooooo good and the salmon's sauce was delicious. The sangria was sweet and tasted great. The rabbit and spaghetti bolognese were decent, what you would expect from both dishes. Would come back again! Their service was also good!

Stopped for dinner mid week and got seated right away. Enjoyed a beer and we split the grilled meat platter and the chicken paella for our meal. Both were very good. Waiter took good care of us and spoke english (menus were available in English also). Very reasonable prices.

Grabbed some quick lunch after touring the Sagrada Família. The seafood paella (for 2) was good (we split it 3 ways). Service was fantastic.

This place is famous for their black rice (not called paella). The black rice is different but at the same time similar to paella. Personally, I would prefer a regular seafood paella, but the black rice something different and good to try! :)

We had heard about this place from the front desk guy at our hotel and boy was it such a good recommendation. When you first walk into this restaurant you get a true feel of what Barcelona is all about with native decor and hanging cured meats around the walls it was such a beautiful sight. We knew that coming to Spain we wanted to try the paella and that we did. The paella was so delicious and you could really tell that they used quality ingredients in this dish. It was definitely everything that I thought it was going to be and more. The bread that they had brought out was a whole new experience for us as well. They served it with whole cloves of garlic and small tomatoes that you cut and prepare on the toast. Such simple ingredients made bread taste so much better. Lastly I also had the whiskey sangria which wasn't very strong but it was still very tasty.

Whenever I visit Barcelona, I make it a point to come back here. The food never disappoints! The bread with fresh garlic and tomatoes is delicious, the steak was tasty and perfectly cooked. Ordered the black rice(Arroz Negro) and seafood paella, very good. Definitely recommend

Great tapas place! We took advantage of the lunch specials (about 10€ for app, entree, and choice of beverage or dessert) and supplemented with two single person paella's. It was way too much food for three of us but it was so worth it! I had the seafood salad as the app. It was tangy and mixed with a mayo type sauce - seafood was so fresh and it mixed well with the other elements of the dish. The entrees were veal and fish of the day(sardines). Superb and for 10 euros you really can't beat it. But if you want to really experience something delicious you have to try the black rice! It's a squid ink rice paella with seafood and it was so worth overstuffing ourselves with food. :) The second paella was chicken for the non-seafood person in our group but it was also excellent. You really can't go wrong and they have another place down by Placei de Gracia.

Rabbit and snails paella - quite good!

Fun spot to sit outside and people watch and you can indulge in a pitcher of sangria that has a touch of fizz to it, quite drinkable and friendly staff - had the paella with rabbit and snails - use the provided long toothpicks to dig out the snail meat, and drizzle some of the tablets olive oil on everything to bring out the flavor - food comes right over from the regular restaurant right next to the outside seating - we had not only tourists but locals eating here and it was well priced - if you sit in the downstairs part of the restaurant you can see the food being prepared by n an open kitchen - if you do not want sangria get a carafe of the house wine - tapped off of barrels or a big mug of beer - so good I am taking others from my trip back tonight!

Menu del dia is the bomb!!! With just 11€ you will be so full and satisfy. This Is the everyday Spanish restaurant that you expect local workers and people to be at. The staffs are so trained and friendly. It's worth the try

Had a lovely lunch... so good! Sangria, seafood and salad.

Really enjoyed our lunch here. Food was very very good. Service was very good also. Would recommend for lunch and saw plenty of things that we would come back for to eat on our next trip.

OMG! I went to the la Sagrada Família and we stoped by here for a snack. I ordered a steak and it came out fine. It was worth it!

The salmon was dry and overcooked. What they lacked in quality they made up for in quantity.

Amazing service. Delicious appetizers and the steaks are the best I've had anywhere in Europe…read more Really nice decor as well.

Beautiful place -- the concept, the look, the decor... honestly, chef's kiss…read more The 2-hour window to eat and enjoy your meal kind of sucks, though, and it definitely makes you feel a bit rushed. I did love the concept of being able to grill your meat a little more if you prefer it that way. Unfortunately, I didn't have the best experience with the service. We were a table of 4 and wanted to share a few appetizers before getting our own main dishes. The server quickly shut us down and told us we were ordering too much food. We explained that we were very hungry, but he insisted we were asking for too much and actually refused to take our order. It turned into a bit of an uncomfortable argument because we simply wanted to order what we wanted to eat. Eventually, we had to reduce the number of plates we were ordering just so he would take our order. I ordered an appetizer, but when I tried to order my main dish, he again refused because he said it was too much food. At that point, I just decided to eat from my friend's plate instead. Then, after telling us we were ordering too much, one of my friends was still hungry and wanted to order the steak. Suddenly, the issue was that it was going to take too long to prepare. So first we were told we were ordering too much, and then when we wanted to add a steak later, we were told it would take too long. We eventually managed to order it, accompanied by a pretty obvious eye roll. And to top it all off, when we asked for dessert -- one each -- the server seemed genuinely shocked that four people wanted four desserts instead of sharing one. Honestly, the whole experience was just very weird and uncomfortable. I felt judged the entire time based on how much we wanted to order, and I've never had a server refuse to take my order because they thought I was ordering too much food. The food itself was good, but the service really took away from the experience. Between that and the strict 2-hour window, I'm not sure I'd go back or recommend it, which is a shame because the place itself is absolutely beautiful.
