Meat croquettes- very good but not your typical croquettes. Heavy on the meat (shredded beef) and very tasty
Craig Y.

Wonderful experience! The food is amazing and the service is top notch. As an American who speaks very little Spanish it was so nice to have English speaking servers to help us navigate the menu. Definitely recommended and we will be back for sure if we are ever in Barcelona again! FOOD: You can order ala carte or prix fixe. We order the prime angus steak prix fixe menu and it was spectacular! Meat croquettes came out first followed by tomato bread, foie gras, and Iberico ham. That was followed by a perfectly cooked octopus (delicious by the way). And then the steak which was seared and seasoned but then they bring a hot plate out so you can finish it to your liking. Finally your choice of dessert. We chose the chocolate fantasy (similar to a brownie but better) and the Spanish cheesecake which had a slightly different texture but was very good! All of it was fabulous especially the perfectly seasoned steak! SERVICE: Honestly terrific service! We felt so warm and welcome! And the service was quick and refills were plentiful. The meal come with wine and not just one glass but three different wines to pair with the different foods! So good. COST: This was our anniversary dinner so we knew we were going to splurge and yet I walked away feeling like we got a bargain! Awesome place!

Fantastic experience, from the food to the wine and service. We ordered one of the set menus (the wagyu one) and I'd really recommend that. It starts with multiple tapas. They included great ham, really nice cheese but the highlight was arguably the best carpaccio I ever had. Then grilled octopus. I am usually not a fan but it was excellent. Then the main was sliced Angus beef, which you finish at the table on sizzling plates (while gimicky, tasted great). The steak was great but the two spaces (garlic aioli and chimichurra) were even better. Finished with multiple desserts, as a non dessert guy I don't remember them. The meal also comes with a half bottle of wine per person, the wine was surprisingly good. Finally, the server (I think his name was Lorenzo) was very pleasant and attentive, despite having not much help. Very enjoyable.

The most tender octopus

If I could give the restaurant 10 stars, I would. Easily one of the best restaurants we have eaten! We did the angus beef prix fixe menu, and it was sensational. Everything from the starter to the dessert was delicious! Also included is your alcohol of choice- not just a glass, but an entire bottle. We instead chose the sangria and it was the best I have ever had. Not too sweet with a subtle hint of cinnamon. All the staff were helpful, friendly and out-going and provided excellent service! Special accolades to our waiter, Eric, who was exceptional and top-notch! The owner/ chef, Dario, deserves a Michelin star! Chef's kiss! We will be back!

Example of the meat lovers special appetizer starters. Great place for a romantic dinner and a fun experience.

Excellent service. Great food and fabulous experience. The meat lovers "special" was too much food for us, but it was our anniversary and a wonderful experience.

Stumbled upon this restaurant on our walk home from the basilica. Upon entering, we immediately commented on how wonderful it smelled and overheard another couple saying the same. It was a beachy aroma. Lorenzo was so kind and helpful in selecting our dishes, and we loved each one! The Pan de coca con tomate was simple but so good that we ordered two. We order octopus often and this was in my top three. We decided to blindly try the canelones de pularda gratinados con crujiente de pistachos and were blown away at its deep flavor and richness. We glad we made the last minute decision. Highly recommend!

An authentic but homey Argentinian steakhouse in the heart of one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Vic Braseria was our first stop for dinner upon landing in Catalan capital and I am so glad it was! Located a considerable distance off the beaten path away from the chaos that is the tourist epicenter that is the one two punch of Placa Catalunya and Las Rambla. Since it was so far off the beaten path, we decided to take a cab ride there instead of the subway. Vic Braseria is one of those places you never thought you needed to try until you finally arrive and go on to love the place. The main reason we came tonight was because it was so highly recommended from a friend who had come to Barcelona before and remembered to grab a business card, so others who by chance get to experience the wonder that is Barcelona, are sure to enhance their experience by trying this true undiscovered gem. Although the exterior of Vic Braseria is rather non-descriptive, the interior feels like a charming café that I would imagine exists throughout Europe. Upon perusing the menu, I remembered to check-in on my trusty Yelp app and look at what pops up but a free sangria upon Yelp check-in. Thankfully co-owners Christina and Jovanni were so gracious to us that they welcomed us to Vic Braseria as if we were family members and presented us with a huge pitcher of the fantastic wine blend. I didn't think it would be that much but we were more than welcome to finish it. I also decided since it was my first night in Spain that a glass of Tempranillo wine would be more than appropriate and authentic as it would pair so well with the amount of meat we planned to order. To start our meal we decided to order the Ensalada catalana con embutidos y jamon iberico, which was Catalan style salad with salami and Iberian ham; the Huevos Rotos con patatas, jamón ibérico y virutas de foie, which were fried potatoes served with broken eggs; Iberian ham and foie shavings; and the Pan de coca con tomate, which was their toasted flatbread with tomato. Both the salad and potatoes were wonderfully filled with flavor thanks to the abundance of sliced Iberian ham that topped both dishes and I was so glad that I got the chance to try the signature Spanish staple that is tomato bread. Obviously, this was just getting is queued up for our entrées, which since we were in a steakhouse, all three of us ordered from the section of their menu that delightfully called "From the Barnyard Onto the Grill" including the Grilled Pork Chops, Grilled Lamb Chop from Moià, and I decided to go with their Beef on an Argentinian Cut (Entraña). I got to sample bites from all three dishes, which were presented with such whimsy and flair, in which plated elegance meets casual comfort food, and I can honestly say everything was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Each dish came with an option of homemade fries, grilled potatoes, a salad, or beans with homemade aioli that we could have just eaten our main course al carte, and we would have been satisfied. They weren't super slammed this evening at Vic Braseria when Christina and Jovanni came to talk to us and told us more about their restaurant, including the fact that they have only been around for about eight years in this location. Both of their English speaking skills were strong that we felt free to communicate with them freely. They were so nice that they even presented us with a sweet wine and chocolate pairing for a little amuse bouche for dessert. We had such a pleasant experience, once we settled our bill, we decided to tip them extra, which apparently in Europe is not that common of an occurrence, but they were honest in their appreciation of the extra Euros for an evening's work. Would I come back? In a Spanish minuto, as they have authentically prepared meals that locals and tourists alike can easily split and totally be satisfied with seems like a positive recurring theme at Vic Braseria.

Simply delicious everything! In the second night of our recent visit to Barcelona we decided to stick around the neighborhood were our hotel was for dinner so we could get to bed early and catch up with some sleep. The folks at the reception suggested we try Vic Braseria. Vic Braseria is a charming restaurant on Carrer de Sicilia near the intersection with Gran Via de lesCorts Catalanes. It has a very unassuming front so you may just walk by it an miss it as we did on our first attempt! The dinning area is basic, simple, comfortable and charming, the service is very warm and friendly, the ingredients are local and fresh and the dishes are fabulously delicious. They have a good wine list and their prices are very reasonable. As you can tell from the photos, the two of us indulged ourselves and ordered more than our waistlines would prefer, but we did not regret a single choice! Everything was good.

Incredible food and service! Lorenzo was absolutely phenomenal, and truly made this visit a highlight of our group's vacation.

Starting off the affordable 5 course meal with this delicious 5 piece appetizer...which included the wine.

My wife and I went here for the last stop on our honeymoon...and we were absolutely blown away by the food...the excellent service from the best server we've had on this trip (request him) Lorenzo, and the very peaceful ambiance. If there's one thing I can say, it is this: Please, please, please go to Vic Braseria in Barcelona, Spain...request Lorenzo for the best service, and order some delicious food.

Fantastic fresh food. Romantic quiet atmosphere. Service was polite and attentive. Sergio helped us choose wine and the selection was a perfect mid range red wine. We ordered several appetizers and enjoyed each one. We had the Farm house chicken and Steak Filet- both perfect. Sergio's was kind enough to bring dessert with a birthday candle and take an extra few minutes to make our Birthday girl feel celebrated.

Carnivores, feast your eyes. The meat spread with steak, ribs, rabbit, chicken, and sausage.

Vic Baseria was hands down my favorite dining experience in Paris/Barcelona. We came here late night after getting in from Paris and were welcomed with open arms. After looking at the menu (in Spanish) we decided to opt for the price fix menu. What we didn't know was that we didn't have to choose a type of meat because the dinner selection comes with ALL of the meats. Joy Joy Joy JOY!!!! This is what we were waiting for. All of the meat is grilled, juicy, flavorful and they just put it in one big pile. No complaints from me. Rabbit + chicken + beef OH MY!!! I was in Hog heaven. Yes, there was pork too. The Spanish do meat right. The meat was decorated with French fries (I would choose something else). There was a pregame salad. Then there was a post game creme brûlée . It was very good. I loved everything here. The staff was so nice, considering our Spanish was limited. Everyone spoke a little English. We spoke a little Spanish. It all worked out in the end. If you're on the fence in regards to where to eat, choose Vic Braseria.

The restaurant is tucked away inside the El Nacional food court. Lighting and tables are pleasant…read more They appear to still have COVID era plastic dividers between booths and a few other areas of the restaurant. Our party was promptly seated and orders taken shortly after menus were delivered. We ordered a few items and found the sides to be amazing here. Huevos de Primera Puesta con Patatas Fritas y Chorizo de buey - This app was off the chains and is a joygasm for the taste buds. It had a fried egg perfectly cooked where the yolk was still runny and had ox chorizo over some perfectly fried potato wedges. Wedges were soft pillowy potato with light crispy exteriors. Season and oils they used made this dish taste amazing. If I were to order anything, it would be this. Pan de Doble con Fermentacion con Aceite, sal y hierbas - One of the better variants of bread and tomato I've experienced in Barcelona. The bread was still a bit crusty but softer on the interior. Tomato that was spread onto it was well seasoned with salt and oil on what is likely sourdough. Solid and well composed side. Salad/Vegetables - Execution on cooked vegetables in the small skillet went well with steak and helped add flavor to the meat. Whole Ribeye Veal Steak - This is a minimum 30-day aged steak. It is a 1kg minimum order, so enough for a small group of 3-4 to share or one hungry individual. For a braseria that's supposed to deal in steaks, this was a disappointment and disservice to the animal itself. The steak appeared to be properly cooked medium rare, but was completely full of gristle and even had a quite a bit of silver skin still attached making the steak very tough to consume/chew. Exterior fat had heated so heavily and quick that it was just way too hard to even bite into. It felt like it was broiled incorrectly and none of the fat was rendered properly. Most items here were good, one great, but all else was mediocre to just okay. Steak was unfortunately not worth the order. Service was just okay. Not super friendly, nor rude in any way. Servers was just, kind of there, but not wholly attentive. All in all, this establishment is at best a 2 out of 5.

I've seen this place have bad reviews on Yelp and Google, but I was already at El Nacional and…read moretheir menu looked the most interesting out of all the restaurants in the building, and it's a cute place to have lunch. The people that are giving the place low ratings are perhaps expecting too much from service... honey, we are in Barcelona. Maybe they ordered the wrong things.... but we didn't! We tried the Acorn-fed Duck margret with confit potato, and Andalusian-style fresh squid with citric mayonnaise. I don't know what to expect, but this is one of the best duck dishes I've ever had. Cooked to perfection. Look at the size... you'd never get that in the States for that price & quality. As for the squid, I wasn't expecting it to be fried, but it's the best calamari I ever had. They just do it different in Spain! Oh how I miss it. When I return, I will definitely come back for the duck. Yum!
