Besides coffee and lattes, they offer some decent (but not amazing) baked goods, and a variety of water bottles (coconut, sparkling, non-sparkling) and some San Pelegrino sodas. The space is roomy and clean, and a great spot to bring a laptop and do some personal projects. The original space I would have a beer in years ago is closed. So we'll have to come back another time for a beer. My arepa was large enough to be a full lunch but wish it came with some type of sides. The meat was soft and swimming in sauce, causing there to be a puddle at the end of the meal. This is actually the cafe's second location where their first location is in Markham (at Hwy 7 and Birchmount). The store is minimalistic with wooden touches throughout. They serve a variety of espresso based drinks but also have non-coffee options too as well as teas. There are also pastries as well as coffee gear and beans for sale. Currently Dopapen Coffee is in their soft opening phase. I stopped by Dopapen Coffee on a Thursday afternoon to grab a coffee. The vibes of the place were relaxing and chill. There were a few customers but it was nice to be able to sit down and relax for a bit. I opted to grab an espresso tonic which was made at a reasonable time. Coffee tasted good. It was also nice to browse their coffees on sale as well. Service was friendly too. Overall, a great new neighbourhood cafe that's somewhat hidden from the main streets. I stopped by in a recent visit to Toronto when it made more sense to wait for my wife than to drive back and forth from our hotel in Mississauga amidst... hey did you know that (unscientific as this may be) traffic may actually be worst on weekends than during the week? Reason is that, while many folks commute using public transit, car owners drive to their destinations on weekends. This is a small, sun-shiny kind of space, with Wifi. The front part, especially, is a good place to bask in the rays. They seem to offer a few food choices for breakfast and lunch, but since I was just looking for a place to hang out for 90 minutes, I was going to be "minimal patron". I thought about another coffee, but decided against it, since I already had double the caffeine I usually consume before noon, I opted for the "cheapest" choice, in the form of a Perrier. Cha-ching and "ouch" and $3.74 later (OK it's CAD, but still), I'm left wondering whether I could have made a better choice: as in, a cookie and that bottle of water I had with me?
