We must have got there early as we were the second group there. I thought the service initially was slow. We ordered our drinks which was served incorrectly. When we pointed this out to the waitress, she said that she would need to check with the person who took the order. I thought this was a little odd as surely you just take our word for it. It was only a soft drink error, not like she had to open a bottle of champagne or anything. It took a while for the bread to arrive which was flat bread. Some were a little too charred but nothing too dreadful. The scallops were cooked nicely and the steak ordered was cooked as requested. The portion sizes were good with none of us requiring dessert. As time went on the restaurant filled up which shows that it a popular place. I am always pleased with service when the waiting staff treat children as human beings which they did here. The restaurant is nice and bright and the waiting staff friendly.

I've been here a couple of times with my girlfriend and it has been fantastic on each occasion. On the first visit we went for the 3 course set meal and every course was amazing, especially the lobster main (their weekly special at the time). Everything was cooked perfectly, and the staff have always been very polite and attentive. The place itself is quite small (but not cramped) and it has a very nice rustic charm to it, quite dark inside but that just adds to the nice romantic atmosphere. Downstairs from the restaurant is a small wine bar that also has a very good cocktail list (most of which are potent and very tasty!)
