The restaurant is really an authentic Mexican food restaurant. You can't go wrong ordering any of the many choices they offer. The staff was absolutely amazing and super accommodating. It was a delightful lunch and I look forward to going back with my wife and family.

Posole was perfect! Came with fruit, yogurt, toast, and juice. Every time I travel to CDMX it's a stop I have to make. The cafe de olla is incredible!

Great place! Highly recommend getting the cafe de ollla. It's pretty sweet so try it before adding sugar. we ordered the pancakes and 2 egg dishes. People were extremely nice and the food was amazing! As usual, you get a big bang for you buck. We had so much food and only paid about 25 USD. This included 4 coffees, 4 juices, breads and 3 breakfast dishes.

Tourist trap. Only bad meal we had in a week in Mexico City. The carnitas taco meat had huge chunks of hard fat? tendon? in every piece see pic. It was gross & inedible. The beef taco my wife had was chewy not tender but at least edible. You've been warned.

Awesome Mexican restaurant here in Coyoacan. Live music, lively, great food. Tried the weekend-only paella and was very nice. Will definitely try it again!

Don't forget to try the gras hoppers, yes they are on the menu and quite good. The drinks were good, especially the margaritas. Everything comes with a generous portion of aguacate and the frijoles were amazing. The salsas were delicious but unfortunately not spicy, although others might think differently. Gotta try this place if you are staying in the Coyoacán.

I walked to the tranquil downtown Coyoacan area and saw La Casa de los Tacos was open, so porque no? The girls were so nice. And they were open with a few diners inside. It was kind of empty and chill, but the ambiance was festive and exciting due to the music and activities going on in el parque nearby. I was so hungry I wanted to eat everything, so I got the tacos con chapulines (HELLA FIRE) and a side plate of arroz con platanos. I also ordered a beer, but that never came out. Their salsas are hella good. Especially that insane truffle one, who knew! It was SO good. The pan fried platanos were so delicious and the perfect little craving I needed for a sweet treat afterwards. They accept cash and card, and make sure you tip you extranjero/turista!

Big plus - they have English menu and the portions are extremely big and probably enough for two people to share. Each meal comes with the soup, rice or pasta, and the main course. The service is truly friendly and the two buss boys are exceptional. I've never seen anyone working so hard, but at the same time remain so friendly and enthusiastic as those guys. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone who is visiting. To be honest, I have not had the cold drinks, so I cannot comment on those only because I had bad experience in the past in Mexico in general NOT at this place specific. Just be careful, do not drink anything for which you cannot confirm the source of the water including vegetables like lettuce and tomatoes because they might of been washed with the regular tap water. Due to the lack of Spanish, I was unable to confirm what water they use for those purposes and therefore I can't comment on quality of those drinks and their salads. Overall, I will come back again and again. This place is simply amazing.

I ordered the Huevos Mexicanos, which translates to "Mexican eggs." It's basically scrambled eggs mixed with salsa, served with a side of black beans and a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice. Although very simple, the flavor was very delicious (I think they use some meat juices for cooking or something). I also ordered a cup of black coffee. If you are a coffee drinker, do yourself a favor and get it every time in Mexico. I normally don't drink coffee black, but I guess that's because I've been drinking the wrong coffee. :P The coffee was very smooth and smelled strongly of cinnamon. Delicious! We were offered free bread and tortillas with our meal. I didn't eat the tortillas because I was full, but the bread was that perfect, pillowy soft kind with a flaky shell. The bill was very affordable at around $6 per person. Gotta love the exchange rate!
