Me elcanta el ambiente, muy fina y acogedora right inside the nice mall. Very nice waiters. I just noticed every different parts of Mexico have different types of dishes, they ALL tastes good! Every time we go a trip, we always try restaurants that we don't have in San Diego. Cocina El Bajio is good. I ordered grilled pollo bien hecho quemado con spanish arroz. En general muy buena experiencia.

It was a perfect day for an awesome breakfast and since we were close to, we figured that this restaurant was as good as any. My wife and I started out with cafe Americano, along with two concha pastries. The coffee tasted pretty typical and so did the conchas which I have had several times before. Our Server was great and he spoke pretty good English which made things easier for us. I ordered the huevos ala Mexicana breakfast meal and it was a good portion with refried beans on the side. My wife chose the two hotcakes with marmelada breakfast. We both also ordered orange juice. Our breakfast was very good, and when we needed ketchup and salsa, our Server was fast to respond. The overall ambiance of the ace was peaceful. We were both seated in their outdoor section within the mall.

Amazing food. Great service. Be patient with translation if you don't know Spanish because the staff certainly is patient with you. Nice ambiance for the breakfast rush. Great accommodation. Right inside the mall.

Great start to our food crawl in Mexico City. Air conditioned place to sit down and eat amazing street food in a mall. I got 3 tacos with all the toppings--lengua, barbacoa and carnitas. Excited about the taco carts but this place is close to my hotel so I'll be back. My peers tell me the Chilaquiles are fiery. Phffft.

The waiter was incredibly nice and helpful. Feel free to ask for an English menu. The chips and sauce were yummy as well as the guacamole that come on the side of my dish. I had asked for my beef to be cooked medium, but it was quite raw. The waiter offered to have it cooked some more. The tiramisu was delightful!

This is an unpretentious and elegant restaurant that ranks among the finest we have visited. The service was pefectly attentive and the food was delicious. From the complimenrary whipped (at the table) hot chocolate and pan dulce (lightest, flakiest croisants this side of Paris), to the zuchinni flower omlette and the delicious pork rib meat entree, everything was perfectly seasoned. The refried beans are the best I have ever had. Then the chocolate gorditas made a perfect compliment as desert to a second serving of the hot chocolate. For those of us who tend to splatter sauces on our clothes, request a white cloth bib, you will not be the only one! Provecho!

Excellent restaurant. Beautiful interior. Service was great, the prices were very reasonable. We paid about $35.00usd for dinner and a couple shots of tequila. Extensive drink menu. I had enchiladas verde and my wife had chicken tostadas. Her chicken was cold as in chicken salad style but still very good. Highly recommend this place.

Gross tortilla soup, tasted like salty tomato soup. Tostadas were burned and the chicken was bland and flavorless. Do not eat here

Another thing this city has is very inexpensive spots you can eat, like pop ups or stands that serve such high quality food at very cheap prices. The third thing I found about this city is where this restaurant fits in-They have restaurants that are historic, that opened over 100 years ago-Cafe de Tacuba fits in that category, having opened in 1912. This restaurant is located in Centro Historico-just a few blocks from Zocalo. Its location is a very busy touristy part of Mexico City. When we arrived there was a 30 minute wait, but once we walked in it was obvious why as it was truly a work of art in there. The walls were adorned with amazing paintings and murals and interior designs elements that transported you back to Mexico in the 1950s and earlier. It was gorgeous. I don't want to call it a fancy place with all the stigma that sometimes represents but it was a fancy place without all the stuffiness of a fancy place. It was a very warm and welcoming place to dine at. There was a lady walking around with a platter full of conchas and churros that one could indulge in while waiting their main meal. I had to get a churro-it was so delicious. We also got chicken tortilla soup-it was so rich and tasty with the perfect blend of Mexican seasonings. I had a pretty good cafe con leche as well-you could really taste the high quality coffee beans they use in their coffees compared to what I'd been getting all trip in the streets. Now when you visit this restaurant and you could only try one dish-that dish begins and ends with Enchiladas Tacuba(355 pesos/$20.35) That's what I got and it was awesome. Its basically a chicken enchilada dish with a creamy spinach based sauce topped with cheese-flavor bomb to the fullest. 9.5/10 Item I wouldn't clarify this as an inexpensive meal compared to other places we visited in Mexico City, but I would call this place an incredible dining experience where one can just feel the importance of the building one is having this meal. Heck Diego Rivera had his wedding reception here in 1922. I for sure would recommend anyone who has the pleasure of visiting Mexico City, must add Cafe de Tacuba to their itinerary-it's such a rich experience.

I came on a weekday and was seated very quickly. My lovely waiter explained the menu and highlighted some popular items. During a family trip to Mexico City, one of the places I was most excited to visit was Azul Histórico. I live in New York, and I had been looking forward to enjoying authentic Mexican chile rellenos at such a renowned restaurant. The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful. The colonial courtyard creates a magical atmosphere, and the service was excellent from the moment we arrived. I also have to mention that the drinks were delicious and beautifully prepared. Unfortunately, the chile rellenos didn't meet our expectations. My mom and I both ordered them, and we agreed that they were served quite cold and didn't taste fresh. The staff kindly offered to replace our meals, which we truly appreciated, but I decided not to. Instead, I ended up eating some of my daughter's meal since I knew she wouldn't finish it. Thankfully, the rest of my family had a wonderful dining experience. My dad, my husband, and my daughter all loved their meals and were very happy with what they ordered. We finished the evening with desserts, coffee, and hot chocolate, and everything was absolutely delicious. Overall, Azul Histórico offers a stunning setting and outstanding service. While my entrée wasn't what I had hoped for, the rest of the meal and the time spent with my family made it a memorable experience. I'd gladly return to try other dishes from the menu.
