The best tacos in Lakeville! The steak tacos combo is my go-to and the tacos are flavorful and loaded with cilantro and onions. The beef is perfectly salted and it's served with rice (so good) and refried beans. The margaritas are delicious and the complimentary chips are fresh and crisp. I usually order to-go and the food is consistently delicious and travels well. Inside the restaurant the food came out fast and service was very friendly. We have been coming here for years, and it's a great experience every time. The manager that works here is really friendly and always greets us at the table. We were going to order the parillada for two, but we're talked into upgrading to the molcajete and are so glad we did! It comes with two plates of rice, beans, and salad as well as two sets of tortillas. Lots of different sizzling proteins and fajita style veggies as well as pieces of queso and grilled jalepeños. Highly recommend! One of my favorite spots to sit on the patio with a margarita in the area. I'm obsessed with the white sauce they serve with the chips, and their salsa is so fresh and just the right amount of spicy. Had chimichangas this time. One shredded beef, one shredded chicken. Whatever they marinated them in was scrumptious. It wasn't super spicy - which I wouldn't have minded. Meh Mexican good. Little flavor in the beans, stale chips, underseasoned meats, and ridiculously slow service. And goopy cheese.

I'm new to the area from Texas. I'm of Mexican descent and have to say this place is pretty good. I had their Enchiladas Poblanas which is my go to back home in Texas. The only reason I have 4/5 is because of the salsa which was missing spice. Thank goodness they had the green Yucateco hot sauce which I added to it. So Mexican food is one of my favs when I go out to eat. So when a friend said they heard some good things about this place and took me here I was excited! Upon sitting, just like any traditional Mexican restaurant, we received chips and salsa, but a surprise bowl of "Mexican ranch". When the hostess told me what it is I said, well I don't even like American ranch. That was weird to me. I ordered the chili relleno, beef burrito, and beef enchilada combo. The relleno was decent, the only difference of the burrito and enchilada was the flour versus the corn tortilla. Then they drenched everything in the red enchilada sauce. I went about 5 months ago, ordered off the lunch menu. (There was no time frame listed for lunch ordering) and my sister ordered off the kid's menu, ( again no age limit listed) they brought us the dinner size meal I explained I only wanted the lunch size, and my sister only wanted the kids size! They tried to tell me both times I used them that I can't. (Making up lies already) the second time I used it I assumed it was going to happen again. Everyone else ordered steak and beans all that jazz. 15 minutes go by and I was like okay so far NOT so good. My dad had to wave the server down. We ordered our dishes and as we waited me and my family started having conversation, you kind of lose track of time when your chatting away. Well not me not this day. I basically starved myself all day before coming here so I can be a big fat fatty. I would say about a good 50 minutes went by to get our food. I am not being dramatic and may i reminded you on what i wrote in the beginning of this review the place was basically empty soooooo wtf was the chef doing in the kitchen ? reading yelp reviews?smh. My shrimp dish was sad looking i probably got maybe 5 shrimps but a whole lot of lime juice for 5 shrimps it aint worth the price. I've been to many Mexican restaurants and this one is by far the best tasting and they have nice staff. They have a huge menu and I like most things I've tried. My favorites are the La Lancha, Steak taco and enchiladas Rojas. People please, If you truly want good Mexican food don't expect the staff to speak the best English. If you want more bland Mexican food go to taco bell or theresas. Only helpful suggestions for El Parian is to change the channel or turn off the tv if the show with surgeries in Mexico come on... been going here for two years and hope this place stays in business for many more years read more

First time at this location and service was very poor. There wasn't a designated server for us & everything was very unorganized.

I will start by saying the food was excellent. I had chips and cheese and loved it! There were 7 of us and nobody had any complaints food wise. The service is the only reason I am giving 3 stars. After we had sat and got our drinks we waited about 10 minutes for our server to come take our order because she was playing on her phone at the bar. After our food came out we didn't see our server until we were nearly done. She never even asked how the food was, although it was great. So my parents lived in Eagan and like the day I went off to college El Loro opened up a block from their house which was the first decent restaurant Eagan had ever had. This is back in the day when El Loro was good. I had like 5+ birthdays in a row there as that was the only time of year I cam back to the land beyond the wall. Then Aldo split off and formed his own restaurant- El Parian. At this point the quality of El Loro began its tail spin and El Parian began its rise to empire status. So jump to last summer and my parents moved to Lakeville. Within like 3 weeks of them moving Aldo decides to open a new El Parian literally on the same street they live on about 200 feet from their house. Are you beginning to understand the hate? Good. El Parian is a great tex mex style restaurant, so when you go you should get -Cheese dip- this is the famed white queso dip that is great for dipping chips, pouring on burritos or your naked body, but its best when you eat with plain flour tortillas. -Texas Margaritas-like a regular Margarita only more manly and Texasy which are really the same thing -Fajitas-get mixed- the one that comes with beef, chicken, shrip, and fried pork (which shouldbe rather obvious I think) They have a lot of other good items on the menu,but with this list you literally cannot fail. The service is always great and very fast- drinks and chip baskets are refilled instantly, the food comes out like 5 minutes after you order, everyone is very nice and friendly. read more

I was excited to try a new Mexican restaurant in Lakeville but was sadly disappointed by my dining experience. Service was mediocre- not very friendly, or helpful. The food started with bland salsa that tasted like canned tomatoes only, with torilla chips that were fried in nasty oil so tasted very bad. The main course was a lunch special for me (one beef enchilada and one beef burrito.) Both were literally hamburger that tasted fine but was very bland- didn't tasted like Mexican at all. No cheese that I could find- and they were topped with what tasted exactly like Campbell's tomato soup. No other toppings. A side of okay rice. My husband ordered enchiladas and they were chicken. As far as I could tell we just got what we got on the meats- there were no options for changes. My husbands chicken tasted fine but was very bland. It at least had lettuce, sour cream, and tomatoes on the top so it had a little flavor. We will not be returning. No Mexican seasonings, no salsa seasonings, no cilantro, no melted cheese on top, no decent tasting salsa or tortillas to go with. The Coke was the highlight of our lunch. read more

It wasn't the worst Mexican Food I had. I ordered a lunch sized chicken taco bowl. The bowl presentation was very nice but the taste and texture were not. The taco bowl was soaking wet and mushy from all the super wet ingredients. And the sides of the bowl were extremely greasy. The taste of the "chicken" was strange I wouldn't be shocked if it was canned. Putting the food aside the restaurant itself is very beautiful. And the service was pretty nice. read more
