You would think by my last three posts I've only been eating at Mexican food restaurants. Well, that's not the case. It's just I happen to run into three really amazing diamonds in the rough lately! El Perrion is no exception. If you're in Melbourne Arkansas for some God knows what reason please stop in. Again, as traditional, great Mexican they walked over immediately with complementary chips and salsa that were clearly homemade. The chips were still warm and the salsa was fresh, slightly spicy, and a delicate texture. I really liked this salsa. I asked for something spicier and they brought me their house salsa, which was fire! All I had was two tacos and an iced tea and it was eight dollars! This place was packed on a Saturday at 12:30... Guess what? They don't even serve Cerveza or tequila. It's a no alcohol establishment. Do you realize how good a Mexican restaurant has to be that doesn't serve beer or have a bar? That means it's all about the food and people were lined up! I might have to drive back here just for the taco of it! Really good friendly staff great music, perfectly timed in the background. This place is always busy but the service is impeccable! The food is always excellent and everyone is always smiling and nice.

When I first walked in the manager seated me without waiting for the other members of my party, so we had to move. They seated us in the area where the servers all stand and chatter, we couldn't hear our dinner conversation they were so annoying. I ordered the cheese enchileda suprema. It was all, I sent it back. The corn tortillas were cold and uncooked, as if right our of the package. The sauce tasted strongly of canned tomatoes, also cold and unfinished. The chicken enchileda filling was a cold matted flavorless mess. The cheese wasn't even melted. I sent it back, got the Carne asada and it wasn't much better, so I took it home and threw it in the trash. The restaurant is pretty and seems clean, the food was disgusting. read more

I ate here! Yes, I was here on Saturday July 10, 2021 and the food was exceptionally GREAT! Scrumptiously tasty and delicious and so authentic, reminded me of my favorite restaurants in California. I had the Enchilada Verdes, loved the zesty green sauce and the citrusy white rice and fresh guacamole. Can't wait to go back and eat this again. The place is clean and so is the bathrooms. They begin with fresh warm tortilla chips and salsa and a fresh drink of your choice. I love pineapple water and it was refreshingly pleasing on my taste buds. read more

My friend and I were a little cautious going in to this place as we are from Texas and used to great Mexican/Tex-Mex food, but this place turned out to be surprisingly good!! The guacamole was amazing and they serve it in an over-sized mortar and pestle so that you could mash the avocados to your liking :) :). Both the veggie burrito plate and the spinach enchilada plate were delicious and we enjoyed everything! Best of all, really fast service and pretty cheap!! read more

Working in the area and always enjoy trying local places. I got the Pollo Hawaiino (spelling), but you get the idea. It was served like chicken fajitas with ham, pineapple and melted cheese. It came with traditional sides of rice and beans along with sour cream. Pico and guacamole. The main course was delicious but there wasn't anything special about the tortillas, rice, beans or guacamole. Good but not great. A fresh tortilla maker and dressed up rice would have put it over the top. For the area, very good and reasonable in price. read more

Pretty decent Mexican place for Malvern. I grew up in Houston, so I've tasted the best of Tex-Mex, this was pretty good. Cheese enchiladas are actually above avareage, my wife got this green chile pork stew type thing, it had some good heat to it. Salsa and chips are good. Best Mexican place in the county! Hands down awesome! The staff is awesome and the food too! Great prices, huge portions and an explosion of flavor! The environment just feels good. Feels like home, but with better food. I've never been forgotten by my waitress/waiter here like at many other places. They are on it when it comes to drink refills, chip and salsa refills and general check-ups but not too chatty. You won't find one obnoxious, loud or annoying staff member here either! When eating Tex-Mex outside of Texas I always have to remember where I'm at and judge with a curve. This place was actually pretty darn good for Arkansas. The steak, chicken, and pork were all very tasty and tender. The salsa was good. Rice and beans were forgettable, but who cares about them anyway. No cold beer or margaritas , :( read more

I was very disappointed that El Parian did not appear to be following guidelines for social distancing. On three sides of our table we had people within an arms reach. It was late and the restaurant was not full. They could easily have social distanced everyone but choose not to. I will get my next order to go or wait until Covid is over before I return. A really good first impression. Usually don't eat in malvern but we will defiantly come back here. The food is great and our waiter, a tall younger dark haired man was a great waiter. Just getting a parking space is tough cause this place is so busy. But once you get in its a great experience. I had 3 soft flower tortillas with chopped up steak meat. I had Beans and rice come with It since it was only a dollar extra. The meat was wonderful, really flavorful as well as everything else. This is just a great place to eat. Fresh, tasty and authentic Mexican food from scratch. Service is outstanding, and the prices are great for this positive experience. We ate here last year on our annual trip to Texas, and planned ahead to stop in Malvern (just to eat here) a year later, and El Parian is still at the same great level, if not better. read more
