We stopped here after a 4 day baseball tournament. It was an excellent choice. Even at 4pm on a Sunday they had a decent crowd. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive. We ordered the queso fundido. It was the best choice. The orange down the center of the photo is flame. They bring it to you flaming. The chorizo and cheese combined is phenomenal. The chips were fresh and the salsa was light and tasty. All of our food was great. I would definitely come back. read more

The service is always great there. I never have to look for someone to help. The hostess was extremely friendly and helpful for our large party. This visit in February, my many friends and I noticed a change in the food. Chips thicker and not as tasty, beef taco salad skimpy and was not as good and my chile relleno was really not good at all. Had a couple slices of cheese sitting on top of the pepper. Normally queso or red sauce on top. The salsa and guacamole were still really good. Customer service was outstanding. They use a team approach... Which makes it easier for keeping drinks filled and being able to address needs... Like extra tortillas and more salsa salsa was very tasty and tasted like it was freshly made. The tamales were very good and the cheese sauce just added to the meal. It was very loud... Did not realize how well it was to the group of 10+ left... Amazing how much noise a few people can make in a small space. Everything was excellent! Service was very good, the servers were attentive, and kept checking on our table, even though they were extremely busy in the restaurant. Chips were fresh, hot, thin, crispy- what's not to love!? Salsa was delicious, slightly chunky with fresh onion and cilantro, Yum! We had tacos, tamales, fajitas, and pork carnitas...The only thing I didn't care for was the refried beans. That was just my opinion though. Terrible food. Worst Mexican food I've ever had.I got the combo plate with tamale, enchilada and taco. The tamale and enchilada were thin and sweet (so weird). Refried beans were bland and basically mush. Flour tortillas tasted store bought. I'm from Texas so I've had Mexican food all my life. This is the first time I every had 4-5 bites and threw it all away. Absolutely disgusting. On top of all that, the waiter acted like he was put out and disinterested. Do yourself a favor and pick up a frozen Mexican dinner at the Walmart next door. It'll be so much better than the food at this place. read more

Back when we lived in Silicon Valley we used to frequent a Mexican restaurant called "El Burro." It had 2 SF Bay Area locations and had been around forever. We loved it for its old-school ambiance, huge servings, fast service and reasonable prices. Sadly, El Burro closed a few years ago due to skyrocketing commercial rents and another piece of the Old Valley died with it. Its loss was one of many factors that eventually led us to leave CA altogether for Arkansas. A neighbor here recommended "La Hacienda" and we recently tried it. Happy to report that La Hacienda has the same fast service, nice ambiance, large servings and reasonable prices that El Burro did. We've now been there twice and had to wait a little bit to be seated -- but that's only due to how popular this restaurant appears to be. The waits weren't outrageously long. The menu is large and varied. Their chips and salsa are delicious. They even have a Milanesa breaded steak offering, as did El Burro. Service to date has been good to very good. We'll be back! TL;DR: Califoreigners discover "La Hacienda" Mexican restaurant, which reminds them of an old favorite restaurant, and live happily ever after. read more

This place attracts a big crowd. Stopped in for dinner while traveling for business before 6pm and the parking lot was full. Staff are welcoming. Salsa was very fresh tasting and queso was good, too. Got the House Special which is 5 taquitos filed with chicken in a bed of lettuce, guacamole, and pico. It was okay, just not especially flavorful. Just ate here again today for lunch. The food is slightly better than most Mexican restaurants in the area. It's a little bland, but it's definitely better quality than many other Mexican joints I've ate at. They have dozens of employees constantly walking around waiting on tables. Sometimes it's a little annoying because so many people stop and ask if you need anything, but at least someone is always there when you need something. The restaurant is kinda dated and looks pretty tacky. The place definitely needs a deep cleaning also. I will eat there again mainly because of the quality of service and the way the food tastes. read more

Okidokie, I usually do not dine out to Mexican eateries because I grew up with it every day as a kiddo. Because of my southern Michoacan heritage I am extremely picky when it comes to Mex food. Irish & I decided to have some margaritas with some family, so we made our stop @ LaHa, based on there killer margarita reviews, she went Frozen, I went Rocks, crazy how perfectly balanced they were. I had 2 & was a bit fuzzy, (caution, it will creep up on you so drink slow, after one, it will make you speak spanish). Service was incredible, the staff does not talk much but they make up for it in hustle & attentiveness. Apps: Queso Fundido, this huge lava rock comes put with bubbling cheese, you throw it on a tortilla and enjoy, I loved the green sauce they have, its a unique blend of what seems to be tomatillo, cilantro, onion & something deliciously secretive about it... Like a hint of heaven? Irish had the shrimp cocktail as an app, I have never had this version but the sauce was spicy, sweet & the fresh avocado accompanied the plump shrimp nicely. My Uncle Diego had chicken & shrimp nachos, they are pile high with all the fixings, best nachos I have had in a good, good, good while. I would do the queso fundido as an app & nachos are definitely an entree... Entree: I had had the Camarones Españoles, these are bacon wrapped, mozzarella stuffed, sautéed succulent shrimp in a spanish sauce, it is a light garlic based sauce that will have you licking your fingers... A must try! Irish had the Brochetas mixtas, this my friends stole the show... They are a combo of shrimp, chicken & steak, grilled with chorizo, bell peppers & onion, then topped with melted mozzarella cheese over the top... A+! The beans are different, one thing I hate about beans @ Mex places is they are pale & runny... These were perfect! Camilia had a chicken & cheese quesadilla, it was oddly enough, delicious... I was not disappointed with this location, the menu is huge so I plan on visiting soon & giving you guys a few more tid bits on other dishes. Dessert: Flan, or custard... Wow! Please dont leave w/ou trying. On my way out I purchased a traditional praline & what they call a cocada (ovenbaked coconut) yum, yum, yum, the Coconut Cocada had my eyes spinning, For the couple of bucks they cost, totally worth the sampling! Like I said, Mexican rest are stereotyped & maybe I fall into this category of judging prematurely, but LaHa did the opposite & I thank them for there dedication & attention to detail when it comes to service. I would STRONGLY suggest staying far away from this place. We have been traveling for a week now, trying all kinds of small businesses. This place was by far the worst. The staff was incredibly rude and they mumbled when taking our order, making it very hard to get our order correct, which it was not. Another key aspect to this restaurant was it was very unsanitary. There was trash laying all over the floor and the staff dropped baskets of chips five times on the main floor only to halfway pick it up. After ordering our WATERS, we did not receive them for about 6-7 minutes and to top it off, we didn't get to actually order our meals for another 10-15 minutes after that. This was supposed to be a relatively quick stop on the way home. The price was about average for how it SHOULD have tasted. My friend ordered one beef taco and my other friend ordered four chicken tacos. I order two beef tacos. Only one of us was asked "soft or hard". The food was easily the worst Mexican we had ever had. The chicken was slimy and the beef had no seasoning in it. The forth member of our party ordered a chimichanga meal. The rice had no flavor. The refried beans definitely came out of a can. The tortilla was only partially cooked. There was also pieces of other people's meal sprinkled about around the outside and under it. After receiving the checks, she read them all off wrong so we had to check them over and trade around. As we were ready to pay, we waited so long that we were forced to gather exact change and walk out. We are all very open minded people when it comes to trying new foods and new and family owned businesses. We normally are quite lenient about our standards. If you like Mexican food atall or if you don't but you do enjoy going to lovely family run restaurants with attentive staff, generous portions, and a broad menu with authentic recipes go to La Hacienda in Benton. I may be bias because Iv grown up in Benton and eaten there easily 50 times, but it is my standard for Mexican food and my standard for what makes a good restaurant. It is "Tex-mex" I guess because the white queso is abundant and available to put in any dish but that's because we're Americans, we're Arkansans and WE LOVE WHITE QUESO DIP ON EVERYTHING. The house salsa free at the table is hands down the most delicious salsa ever, I have eaten with a spoon and I am not ashamed, they also provide a warm sweet salsa that my siblings love and a super hot green one if you so dare. The punch is a must! it's a layered strawberry and orange agua fresca and it tastes like summer in a cup. This is the only Mexican restaurant my husband likes the beans and won't just order "double-rice please". All of the staples are great and don't be afraid to get a house special; the mole, Michoacán, Chile relleno, machaca, and California burrito cannot disappoint. The margaritas are tubs and I hear they're perfect, I don't drink.
