My nachos were good . But we had a large table and no ones else was excited about their choices.

A friend of mine ranted and raved about the birria tacos. I was skeptical but one bite and it was for sure the real deal. No tex mex counterfeit but true authentic birria tacos. 10/10 they were perfectly spicy and crispy. The crispy cheese was crunchy and delicious! The charro bean soup served with the tacos was DELICIOUS! Some of the best I've ever had. Chips and salsa was kinda basic nothing special but not bad. I didn't care for the bean dip they served with the chips. The house marg was too sour according to my friend. The service was nice even if the server was a bit too eager to get our order, but it was slow so I'm sure he was just looking for something to do. The Birria tacos are excellent and the staff is really friendly. The place is really clean and the margaritas are great!

This place is awesome and we have been here many times. Whenever we have a big group, this is often our go to for family birthday dinners. Large patio, live music often on weekends, great drinks food and service! Lots of parking, easy to get to, and a great bar. I'm sure we will come back many more times. If you want a low sugar drink the ranchwater is awesome with tajin. And i tried to mojito which was also great. read more

Outstanding! Our first time and not our last. Finally a local Mexican restaurant we can't wait to go back to. So we ordered our food and was talking and boom, our food was there. My husband scared me when he bit into his taco because he said " baby I love you" and I was expecting the worst. He said this is the best damn taco I've ever had! Whew sigh of relief from me. My fish tacos was on point, wasn't fond of the tortilla soap but it was good. Ended up bringing home leftover as we was really full. The waiter was super nice, the place was spotless and I loved the decor. Can't wait to bring the rug tats with us next time. read more

I've ordered three times. One time good, one time super super bad and tonight was disappointed again. I gave it three chances. Food is decent. Sometimes the chips are good, sometimes completely stale! They give you a tiny amount of salsa and do not offer to order more. Won't be ordering again. Sad to say that. We decided to check them out on a Friday after work. They were really busy, but the place is pretty big and they had plenty of seating. They have an outdoor patio area, and had music going so it looked like everyone was having a great time. They have a bar, if that's something that is important. They had 2 for 1 margaritas until 6. We decided to try them, and they were very good. We'd get them again. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful. She was very attentive, and checked with us frequently. We both got combination plates of different types. My food was really good as was my husband's. All in all, we will definitely be back, and highly recommend them. Glad we stopped by! read more

Service was as good as to be expected for this Mexican restaurant. You know you always get served pretty quickly as well as having food delivered timely. We didn't. have to wait. That is the extent of what I found good about this restaurant. I have eaten at the El Paso and Sherwood and Coursey and found them way better than this location. My sister and I both Were disappointed in our items. I ordered the veggie quesadilla which is always been good at the other location and my sister had a taco salad and she couldn't finish it. I've done something I've never done. I usually eat Fajitas when I dine at a Mexican restaurant, but this time, I tried something completely different. I ordered the "Mexican Burger" for $9.99. I was only eating because my wife had worked all day and really wanted to go here. She loves their tacos. The only thing I didn't want on my burger were avacodo slices. It came with pepperjack cheese (my favorite), all the fixings for a burger and a side of fries. The burger was brought out to the table and it was huge. I dressed it all up and took my first bite. Hands down the best burger I've eaten anywhere. It was moist and flavorful, nice and hot. It was a little messy, but it was a good and delicious messy. Excellent chimichangas, and interesting bathrooms to boot. If you like a sports bar where you can't miss a moment, they actually have a TV in the men's restroom. This restuarant is actually a magical portal to El Paso, TX. You would think more people would take advantage of the portal for cheaper travel, but most people use it to eat the fajitas. read more

I stopped in for lunch I ordered the chili relleno combo lunch also came with a beef & cheese taco, refried beans and a guacamole salad. The food was very good and my server was good as well. I'll definitely be coming back. I chose to sit outside in the covered outside smoking section they had plenty of ceiling fans keeping the place nicevand. Cool. This is my family's go-to Mexican restaurant. The food is delicious! I'm not much of a Mexican eater so I can only speak for myself, but my husband loves their fajitas. I'm the biggest sucker for their tacos. Since I'm not much of a Mexican eater, tacos are pretty much my standard order at every Hispanic restaurant - El Paso's tacos are hands-down the BEST I've eaten in the Baton Rouge region. It's possible they're the best I've eaten in my life. They're a little stingy on the cheese, so you'll likely need to request (and pay for) some extra. I think the cheese may be what makes the tacos so good though. Not sure what kind it is but it's just great. Anyway, I've also had their chicken enchiladas and they're pretty great too. Margs are standard. Beer's always cold. The atmosphere is nice too. read more

Food is good...if you can get ahold of it within the hour. That being said. I have never dealt with such bad custumer service than here. It really bums me out becauase the food is actually okay. There have been so many times it took 30 minites for a margarita or 30 minutes for salsa. And each time they were dead inside... really wish thet cared aboit theor customer service. read more

Woah what the heck happened here!? I just moved back home from the military and my parents told me how great this local place was. I ordered delivery and it was awesome!! We got deserts and fajitas for my birthday. Today I ordered the same thing and my food tastes horrible and the dessert has no frills that the forest did. The reason I ordered from here. Our night started out with a quoted 20-30 min wait. After we saw someone was seated before us we asked where we were in line and she said next. Then she continued to skip us 2 more times. During our wait time there was a clean table the entire time that we were standing in front of. Along with 3 others that could've bused in between the time we waited.
