I haven't been to an El Ranchi in years. I was THOROUGHLY impressed. The chips were so thin and crispy. The salsa wasn't my favorite but was still delicious. THE QUESO is the queso you want every other queso to taste like......PERFECTION! Our food came out hot and fresh and unlike other places the fajita chicken is seasoned and even tastes like it was marinated. I'm so ready to go back! We were passing through Denham and wanted Mexican. This place popped up and we weren't disappointed. The food was great, I had the fajitas and my bride had the chicken enchiladas. Our waitress was very friendly, was always coming by to see if we needed anything. Overall this is a great place to eat. The menu is extensive and I wish I had the time to explore more of the menu. My only regret is the margarita's are made from a slushy machine, while that's fine for most, I'm kinda old school and appreciate it, when the restaurant features truly blended drinks. I travel a lot and I find that this is not unusual, I believe the restaurants find it easier just to fill a glass with a slush and move on. But again, I'm finding this all around the country so I don't blame this establishment. I just think they could step up their game with a blender. read more

The staff are attentive & helpful. The place is clean & comfortable. Some people are offended by worn-out seats but that shows use to me. They repair & replace them eventually. Just left from this place and MAN was it delicious!!! Food came out fast, hot, and most importantly yummy. While I wouldn't say it was the best mexican food of all time, I WILL say it's delicious enough to go back to over and over again. Walking in the place is vibrantly decorated and has plenty of seating for such a small place. Our waitress was very nice and was quick to bring us what we needed in a timely fashion! My husband had the burrito supreme, our daughter had the chicken nuggets and fries, I had the chicken and steak fajitas, and an appetizer of a large queso. The large queso is LARGE and SOOOOO good. My husband said his burrito was phenomenally good! I very much enjoyed the fajitas which had plenty of those beautifully caramelized onions on the bottom. Some of the meat was a little too browned BUT the cuts of meat and flavor were very good. Not a chewy piece of steak on the whole plate. My girl ate a bit of the chicken but was more fond of the chips and dips (her personal preference, I tasted a nugget and it was quite yummy). Overall if we are in the area again we would ABSOLUTELY return to eat here. My only regret is not getting nachos as well. read more

We came here for dinner on a Saturday night and were sat right away! The food came quickly and tasted amazing. We ordered the queso, shredded chicken quesadillas, Shrimp chimichanga, and the shredded chicken burrito special, all of which tasted fantastic and came stuffed with a lot of meat. This is hands down the best Mexican food I've ever had UNLESS you call in an order to go. Every time I've ordered food to go they mess it up! I have to wonder if it's on purpose to keep call in orders down or something. Today I ordered 3 tamales (there tamales are usually pretty big and are topped with beans, beef, cheese, enchilada sauce and cheese sauce) I got 4 small tamales with a little bit of ground beef on one of them and that's it. Also if you dine in you can have as much salsa as you like with your food but if you order to go you get a tiny cup and if you ask for more they charge you for it and the price is different every time. They don't have salsa listed on the menu for sale so I guess who ever answers the phone charges what they think you should pay for the salsa. This is the location next to Bass Pro. So cold that it was "formed" around food and didn't move even when touched with a fork. The interior looks beautiful.. right now with all the restrictions they have delivery and outside covered seating available and inside seating as well. Everyone serving or seating wore masks. In the life of the working middle class, there inevitably comes a night when no one wants to be bothered with cooking and cleaning. Our visit to El Rancho was inspired by one of those evenings. We got in the car not knowing what we wanted or where to go; Denham restaurants have been really hit or miss for us. El Rancho was a pleasant, strip-mall surprise. The decor is very Latin-inspired; I definitely wold not call it authentic, but it is bright and fun. The menu has several options; this seems to be a common theme with Tex-Mex restaurants we have been to in the past. I keep things simple when going to new place. The chips and salsa were so-so. I have had better salsa, but it did have a nice flavor of cilantro and onion. I got the fajitas bravas with steak, chicken, and shrimp. My husband got the fajitas fundido. The were both well-cooked and had a nice flavor. My husband's entree was good because it was fajitas covered with cheese. When the waitress brought it out it was sizzling and bubbling. The waitress was friendly, although she did not say too much. As is custom at restaurants like this, we had plenty of leftovers to bring home, especially the beans and rice. The bill was very reasonable--$35 for the two of us. Overall, this place is good. It is your run-of-the-mill Tex-Mex place, but it works well for the nights you don't want to bother with domestic duties. The poor woman who waited on my family was a saint. She had to deal with some very confused people who had no idea what they wanted and tons of dietary restrictions. I can't believe I haven't already left a review for this place. We were told of El Rancho a few weeks ago and it has already become a weekly dinner spot. The fajitas fundido is awesome. Basically fajitas with cheese melted over it. The best! Hubby orders steak and shrimp a la Mexicana and finished off my cheesy veggies. The chips and salsa are really good. I like the decor. If I had to have one complaint, it's that their guacamole dip isn't the chunky guacamole that I crave. It is creamy. The Rancho beans are really good, and even have huge pieces of sausage in them. They will let you sub out the beans and rice for other sides (I get avocado, the hubs gets a side salad). read more

We were a little skeptical at first as we pulled into the parking lot but decided to go inside anyways. As soon as I walked in and smelled food cooking, I said to my husband " yes, I think it's okay" the chips are always my first clue as to whether the food will be good or not... they were so good, thin, warm and Krispy.
