We ate here for a celebration. There were 21 of us. We sat on the patio. They had fans going and it is completely shaded so we were very comfortable. Every aspect of our visit was excellent. Our waitress, Monica, did a great job. She kept up with the orders, made sure drinks stayed filled and checked on us constantly. The food was excellent. And even with a group that big, everything came out hot. Several people told me they hadn't been to Los Reyes before, but would certainly be coming back. Taco Tuesday Come Through! I ordered through DoorDash sonce I was working so I can not input the store or service. I will say food was hot when it arrived. Really like the Queso Compuesto bowl which was Queso and seasoned beef mixed. Very delish, but not as flavorful as I had imagined. Maybe I will try another meat next time. Not impressed. My office had this delivered today so thought I'd give it a try. It was ice cold. I don't expect sorching hot from delivery especially with a large order but this was cold. Stopped by Los Reyes on a rainy evening with my mom for dinner. This place is seriously cute. Looks like you walked into a tourist trap in Mexico. Lol. I like that though... If I'm eating tacos I want to be surrounded by sombreros while listening to mariachi music!! We were greeted by our waiter who was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable!! The menu is large with everything you can think of. They bring complimentary chips and salsa to the table... Their salsa is very good. We also ordered a bean dip to munch on. I've been here a few times and have also ordered to go from them. My boyfriend insists that the sangria margaritas are the best here and I find that the margaritas on the rocks are good. Usually I'll get fajitas and they are pretty good and the complimentary chips and salsa are a good start to the meal. Service has always been consistently good. Recently I got the fajita nachos to go. They looked different than I expected but the fajita meat was delicious and it had just the right amount of cheese on it. Great meal! We enjoyed our lunch at Los Reyes! Our waiter was friendly and attentive! All of our food was delicious and hot with generous portions! The shrimp in the shrimp burrito were big and cooked well! My only complaint is that they were out of seafood for the seafood burrito and taco, and so just had shrimp. If you love CHEESE this is the place to come for Tex mex food. Anything and everything that has cheese on it will be swimming in cheese. So if you're not into your food swimming in cheese you might want to tell your server to go light on the cheese. This is one of my go to Mexican restaurants In Baton Rouge. It's better then casa Maria , El Paso & mi Padres in my opinion. The fajitas are good but it's not enough to share for 2 they give you more onions and bell peppers then meat and sometimes it's over kill on the onions. Tamales are good, covered with Texas chili. My wife had tacos asada - good flavor, though the steak was a bit dry. Rice and refried beans were also good - again standard TexMex. Have been going to this restaurant ever since it opened mostly on the weekends. I know it's always busy because we go at prime time. Last week when we entered we were asked if we had a reservation (What???). We only had to wait about 10 min which is normal when u have a party of 4 or less. The issue was that the cost of food is going thru the roof and the quality is no longer there. One of us had three shrimp tacos alacart and they ended up costing $4.49 each which is more than it would have cost with the full meal and they were very sparse on the fillings. The other had the taco salad and again it was barely half full of lettuce and tomato. Also not to complain about their frozen margaritas because that are pretty good, but the server kept asking if I wanted to up scale the liqueur. I also said no salt please and of course it came with salt. Have to rethink about going back. It's not making a lot sense to spend $52 for a meal that is now a pour value. read more

This is hands down the best Tex Mex in Baton Rouge, period. We've never had a bad dish. Everything from start - chips and salsa (yum!) to end - entrees and margaritas, are really good. My most recent visit was last Thursday. I popped in for lunch, laptop in tow (they have wi-fi which is a plus). Everything was delicious. Their salsa is so good as is the queso, I add jalapenos to give it a little kick. The fish taco is OMG delicious! I also tried a spinach enchilida which was yummy. I can tell it's not fresh spinach but it was still yummy. If you're a fan of Sangria, the Peach Sangria must've been blessed by the Sangria gods because one taste & I wanted to order a gallon! And service is great! My server was very attentive while giving me an adequate amount of space bc, as I mentioned, I had my laptop & was doing some work. Los Reyes is usually my typical go to spot but just spent 60$ for half of my order to not be in the bag. I ordered two orders faijitas...... no tortillas in either box. No salsa no queso that was ordered. Lol very disappointed. And would just like to suggest that maybe all the food is checked before going out to be picked up especially when I sat in the parking lot waiting for 30 minutes then drove all the way home to find out it's not right.
