First time staying at this hotel and they have a voucher for food and since I wasn't hungry, I got…read moresome desserts to try. I'm OBSESSED with chocolate so I had to try the chocolate cake. I very much love the filling on the inside which was a chocolate frosting and loved the chocolate layer on the outside of the cake. The cake part itself was definitely a bit dry. It was flakey when I put my spoon into it. Still good but the filling helped a lot. It did come with some kind of fruit sauce on the side (maybe strawberry?) but I didn't wanna make it a fruity chocolate cake so I dipped a few bites. I also saw they had Bavarian cream churros and since I've never had churros before, I wanted to try those as well. I'm not sure how churros are supposed to be but I was thinking they would be a little soft since they had filling but they weren't. They were on the crunchy side and I that kinda made it hard to taste the cream in the middle. They were good but like I said, not sure if that's how they're supposed to be. They came with a chocolate sauce and it was delicious but that definitely masked the flavor of the churro. Both were $7 each so not too bad. I think I'd get both again if I'm here in the future. Side note, no, I don't finish either dessert. I took them home. Lmao!

I immediately asked to book a brunch at Hemingway's because the food is always good and the view is gorgeous. We rolled in expecting our normal satisfying Hemingway's experience.... Turns out we were in for a huge treat! The Manager, Kelly, greeted us and made us feel like movie stars. She was over the top with her hospitality. In mere minutes it felt like we had come home for Christmas!!! She was so amazing and took such good care of us. As did our server and the kitchen staff!!! We had the most amazing time and ate the most amazing food!!!! It wasn't just brunch, it was an experience!!!! I cannot recommend this place more!!!! Goooooooo!!!! You will not regret it!!!!

Wow. Wow. Wow. This was our first visit snd we were blown away by everything. The food, the energy,…read morethe beauty of the restaurant, the service, everything was stellar during our visit. After having visited Spain and experiencing tapas, our expectations were set high and Cúrate delivered on all levels. We ordered several plates to share, ordered a bubbly white wine and later a pitcher of Sangria and enjoyed the thoughtfulness of their progression of our meal. Every dish was thoughtful and tasty. The patatas bravas were better than some we had in Spain. The lamb skewers were the least favorite as they were slightly overcooked. I missed taking a picture of the mussels because we slopped that up so fast! Overall, I cannot wait to visit again, especially as they change their menu seasonally so new surprises would be amazing. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

I did my research for dinner restaurants before heading to Asheville- both via Yelp and by asking…read morefriends. And I was told don't skip Curate so it was the first reservation I booked. I booked it about a month ahead and had no trouble getting a reservation although it was quite busy for a Wednesday evening. And the restaurant itself is quite large! We started with sangria. It had been awhile since I had sangria and this reminded me i need to drink it more often- especially in the summer! Our waitress was Zoe who informed us she'll be moving near us in Chicago soon. She was great so happy to welcome her to our city! With Zoe and Yelp's help we decided on the following food: - Pan Con Tomate: didn't sound like anything special, but really good especially when topped with anchovy (as Zoe recommended) - Gilda: the anchovies we topped our pan con tamate - Pimientos De Piquillo Rellenos: fine, but probably my least favorite thing we ordered - Pulpo a La Gallega: loved, but i usually do when octopus is involved - lamb skewers: I was full by the time these came out, but too good not to eat And for dessert we went with the cheesecake which was so good! Overall, a great meal and I can see why so many people/yelpers recommended it!

It is located in downtown Asheville so there is no immediate parking lot but there are some places nearby or street parking, The inside is very modern and there is seating both inside and outside. Our server was very friendly and service was very prompt! My family got the Lo Mein with Chicken, Chow Fun with Beef, Sautéed String Bean, Buddha Bean Curd Rolls, Crystal Shrimp Dumplings, and Spicy Chicken. I loved the Crystal Shrimp Dumplings! The wrapper was very tender and the shrimp filling was delicious. It tasted very authentic to me. I also loved the Sautéed String Bean as it had the right amount of garlicky sauce. The Lo Mein was made with thinner than usual noodles but still tasted good. I think the Chow Fun tasted a bit off. It kind of tasted a bit sweet and like drunken noodles at some points as opposed to the traditional smoky flavor that the dish has. The rice noodles that were used were also thin as opposed to the usual wider noodles. As for the Spicy Chicken, it tasted solid. I liked the slight crisp before biting into each piece and it was not really spicy. I definitely tasted the cumin (I am not a super big fan of), which is a popular flavor found in Szechuan cuisine. Overall, I think this is a nice spot for some Chinese food, especially being near the mountains which is more isolated. I wish chicken feet were part of their dim sum menu (it is pretty small and there are no rolling carts in case anyone is wondering). I do think some flavors of the food I tasted seem to cater a bit more to the Western taste palate (my parents agree as well), but I enjoyed my time here.
