Servers attentive and nice. Restaurant overall clean and well kept. I ordered basic enchiladas that came out hot and fast. Salsa was okay, nothing special. Margaritas good. The prices were a little more than what I'm use to at a Mexican restaurant, but I guess with the cost of everything else today. Would I go here again, sure, but I'll be eating at others down the road to compare. Overall, comparable Mexican to most others in the southern states.

Molcajete. Server said it was for one person. It could have fed 2 easily

This was a recommendation from a business owner in Downtown Wetumpka. We decided to try it for dinner with our elderly parents. Everyone was very nice and patient. Their food was amazing with large portions. We are from the southern border of Arizona so we had high expectations which they absolutely met. The molcajete bowl can easily be shared with 2-3 people. Flavor was spot on with quality ingredients. Mom liked the 3 shrimp tacos, dad who eats very little enjoyed a good portion of the enchiladas. Hubby had the chilaquiles with chorizo and he was happy to finally eat authentic Mexican food. The molcajete bowl was too big of a portion for 1 and I ended up taking home 75% of it. We've been in AL less than 2 months and we were missing real Mexican food. We will be return customers for sure!

California burrito with a hair in it.

I moved away to Alabama to play college golf. As a young, homesick California transplant, I thought…read morethat meant the complete disappearance of my beloved Mexican food. Surely, I wouldn't be able to find any quality taquerias here, let alone any that could hold a candle to the ones back home. The late-night taco escapades would have to wait. Enter La Coronilla. Who would have thought that one of the most authentic, delicious taquerias I've ever seen could be found deep in the heart of Montgomery? This place was my absolute saving grace during my time as a student-athlete. I look back fondly on all the times I stopped in to reward myself with some tacos after a long week of grinding, both in the classroom and in competition. The Lengua tacos are by far the best I have ever had, and it is not even close; the meat is somehow perfectly crispy on the outside while maintaining lengua's incredible trademark tenderness at the same time -- nowhere else have I seen this accomplished. It is unbelievably rich, unctuous, fatty, and flavorful. The Al Pastor here is also dynamite; it's beautifully seasoned, has just the right amount of kick, and the pineapple notes really come through. The Chorizo is great as well; a little sweet, a little smoky, a little spicy. The Carne Asada's got a great char on it, and is also well-executed. The place just screams authenticity, and has generally friendly service as well -- though I find it much easier to communicate with the staff in Spanish, rather than English. I'm going to be honest -- having graduated this past spring, there are not very many things that I will miss about Alabama. That said, this place is definitely one of them, and it pains me to think that I may never have the chance to eat here again. La Coronilla became a great comfort for me -- it made me feel like I was home, even though home was thousands of miles away. Please do yourself a favor and stop by. Until we meet again...

Translation: I am extremely disappointed with the way we were treated by this business. About two months ago, my mother, sister, and I went to this restaurant specifically to arrange food for my wedding reception. We spoke directly with the owner. She knew exactly what the food was for, we discussed the quantity and price, and she even offered to include rice and beans at no additional charge. We agreed on everything, shook hands on the deal, and she instructed us to call one week before the wedding to confirm the order. We did exactly that. When I called one week before my wedding to confirm the food for our reception, the owner refused to honor the agreement and instead quoted us a price 250% higher than what she had personally agreed to. Her explanation was that they had not properly calculated their costs before agreeing to the original price. That is not the customer's responsibility. As the business owner, it is her responsibility to know her costs before quoting a price and making an agreement--especially when she knows that customer is relying on that agreement to feed guests at a wedding reception. We made these arrangements two months in advance and followed her instructions for confirming the order. Instead, we were left one week before our wedding scrambling to find replacement food for our reception. When I tried to address the agreement we had made, I was treated disrespectfully and the conversation was shut down. Backing out of an agreement for a wedding reception one week beforehand because you failed to calculate your own costs is incredibly unprofessional. Based on our experience, I would not trust this business to cater an important event.
