LOVE this restaurant, they always have AMAZING food my personal favorite is the chorizo con huevo taco. They always assist me without asking which I like. The restaurant is ALWAYS clean you can come in and expect a clean table every time. The bathroom is also very clean. I really like the decorations and overall the design they did with the restaurant. When my wife and I first started coming here is was good but in the last year or so the food quality is not good. Pancakes are loaf of bread thick and pasty tasting. Poor quality batter makes them taste like cardboard. Bacon is always greasy and stuck together like the cooked bacon bits. Eggs are way hard scrambled. read more

I was really looking foreward to checking this place out. The food looked delicious. Keyword here (pause) looked. The food was very fresh and had alot of potential, unfortunately it was bland. The sopa de mariscos (seafood soup) tasted like shrimp broth with no salt. It didn't taste like a sopa de mariscos and contained the one ingredient that the valley is notorious for adding to sopa de mariscos, the infamous IMITATION CRAB (echo). This is a major no-no. The soup was tasteless with no flavor or seasoning. The stuffed crab looked awesome, but tasted doughy with no flavor. What a shame, because the seafood was fresh, they just did not prepare it well. The Mexican food is really good. The caldo is excellent. I also recommend the beef enchiladas. Fresh home made tortillas are great.

Great food. My son never eats and he loved the pancakes, bacon, and refried beans. The breakfast tacos were ginormous and had a great flavor. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Glad we waited to eat breakfast after leaving port Isabel. Definitely recommend this spot if you're traveling through the area. The only downside might be the size of the tables and that's about it. Well that and maybe the infomercial playing on the tv behind us throughout the meal. But that's not negative enough to change the overall experience. read more

Wonderful wonderful staff; lovely ladies, family run restaurant. They bother to remember your name and treat you like family. Food is really good. Tacos are huge and delicious. Prices are very reasonable. Best and biggest breakfast tacos you'll find for under $4. They run like 3.50 depending what all you ask to be in them. I think hours changed recently so I'd recommend calling them to make sure they are open. They used to be open till like 3pm only. Small hole-in-the wall local place situated next to the second stripes on 77 Sunshine Strip in San Benito. Parking is limited; that's my only criticism and its out of their control because there just isn't a lot of space. read more
