They have lots of chicken roasting. Servers are friendly and speaks English. It wasn't too crowded here for lunc, noisy since it's by the street. Best thing was we were not bothered by flies during the meal. Got the: Mexican combo with carne asada: comes with steak, chicken tostada, chile relleno, enchilada, beans and guacamole. 3.5 stars. Pretty good amt of food for your $. I liked the steak and chile relleno. For some reason, I didn't care for the enchilada or tostada. Arrechara fajita: sautéed veggies with arrechara, with side of rice and beans and tortilla. 3.5 stars. I liked the veggies. 1/4 roast chicken: good flavor on the chicken skin. 3.5 stars for me but you chicken aficionados may enjoy it more. Garlic grilled fish: 3 stars. great garlic flavors. However fish texture was a little soft maybe because of all the garlic sauce. Comes with rice and salad. Horchata: 4.5 stars. One of the best horchata here yet. got a pitcher. Well flavored and tastes the chalkiness of the rice but no cinnamon flavor. Still great for a cool drink after a walk. 3.5 for food round up to 4 for great service.

Cuisine: 2 Service: 2 Decor: 5 Value: 7 Overall: 3 The locals eat here, you can clearly see that. We were also directed here by a local, so there is no doubt that people like it. Why? It's pretty darn cheap, at least for American tourists. Compared to my local chicken shops, it's about a 30% discount, so to me, it's savings but not ridiculous. Also, it's why more than a $5 Costco roasted chicken (don't knock it till you tried it lol). Therefore, is this really worth one of my meal slots in Cabo, hell no! This meal did not start off on the right foot. They were sold out of their "famous" chicken at 8:30pm. Come on! That's what we came for and called ahead to make sure they were still available 5 mins before walking over. Anyway, never had the chance to try their signature item. Never a good sign. Moving on, we ordered the other food item they are known for, the pork ribs. Holy crap! This shit was dry AF. Don't know how long it's been sitting around, and maybe they had to reheat it a few times, but it was basically flavored wood. We also ordered Chicken Mole and Chile Relleno, which were both okay, but nothing special. They also were more room temperature than hot. Guess they been sitting around. I hate to say that I had much better in NYC, which is sad but true. Forgot to mention that service was terrible too. Slow and unfriendly. We didn't get any help with recommendations and I ordered a bottle of water three times that came after our meal. I am still upset that I didn't get to try the chicken, and for that reason alone, I may come back. However, if all the other food are any indication, maybe I'm just fooling myself and creating unrealistic expectations. I'm sure my local Mexican or Peruvian chicken shop in Queens taste just as good, or if not, better.

A few blocks away from the tourists and authentic Mexican dishes at unbelievably low prices. I wouldn't paid 4x in the OC or 3x in LA. Lol My chicken mole enchiladas ended up being $5 for 3 loaded enchiladas covered in smoky sweet and spicy mole sauce. Possibly the best mole sauce I've had in my life. The chicken in itself was a tad dry but the sauce, rice and beans were enough to save the dish. The Hubs got rolled tacos with everything and said they were good but regretted not getting the rotisserie half chicken which we realized after the fact might be their signature dish. Always Yelp before you lose wifi(!) 1000% will be back. Hopefully when it's cooler since they don't have AC; fans only.

My wife and I always try to make this place a stop whenever we come to Cabo (which we do a lot). We've never had a problem with the service & the prices are very reasonable. This time I ordered the 1/2 order of ribs and my wife got 1/4 chicken (we weren't looking for leftovers) along with a soda each. The cost before the tip was 270 pesos (about $16.62 at the rate exchanged at the bank). As usual, my ribs were delicious and my wife has always said the chicken is very good, though I haven't tried it. They are able to sell a larger bottle of soda for 35 pesos while some of the places we've eaten at on this trip charge 70 pesos for a can. The only drawback is that it's cash only.

This was one of my favorite restaurants when I visited Cabo! You must order the rotisserie chicken. It's so juicy and delicious with the skin! I ordered the 1/4 chicken plate with rice and beans; it was the perfect size for me. The plates normally come with macaroni salad as a side, but since I'm gluten-free I substituted it for beans. My friends that got the fajitas and enchiladas didn't like the chicken as much; I think it was just grilled and dryer, so I highly recommend you order the rotisserie chicken. We also shared chips and guac. The salad is refreshing as well. Was confused if it came with a dressing or not so we just poured some green salsa on it. The ribs are great to share. Pretty good but nothing to write home about. They also have super cheap piña coladas; strong yet delicious. Get the chocoflan for dessert! It's a casual sit-down spot and the service was friendly and quick.

CASH ONLY We come here every trip and have a delicious chicken dinner for a super cheap price. We had the full rib plate and half chicken for dinner. You really can't go wrong with the chicken, it's kinda like a Costco rotisserie but better. I had two margaritas and my husband had a couple beers and our total was right around $25. It's very affordable and one of the best places for dinner if you're looking to ball on a budget :)

This was our last meal in Cabo and it might have been my favorite one. Amazing restaurant! Delicious food, super cheap and only two blocks away from the Main Street. After a few days eating tacos I wanted something different and the chicken and ribs combo hit the freakin spot. This place is a must. If you're reading this, stop debating and go now.

Don't ask questions, just go. I had the half chicken, sides, pico, salsa, fresh corn tortillas, bottled Coke, bottled water...for $7.33 USD. Plenty of leftovers. It's unreal how flavorful and affordable their food is. Side note for unfamiliar tourists: Choose to pay in pesos (card or cash). Paying in pesos made it $6.28 USD before tip.

Came here twice on our trip .. this place was recommended by our Uber driver .. first time I had the chicken/ rib combo and it was delicious.. the homemade tortilla and sauce with the chicken was very good .. the second time I came I had the Mexican combo and it also was very flavorful..it was very close to the Marin area and the service was great ... not a fancy restaurant but we came for good food not fancy decor ... if fancy decor is what you are looking for stay at the resort and eat mediocre food at an expensive price ...

At this price, you cannot go too wrong! Garlic fish fillet with a change of side to a salad + a glass of red (yes not the best quality but totally drinkable!), including the corn tortillas (of course!), 170 pesos! We came here for breakfast with my partner and had a good experience too. You have healthier options as well. Would recommend for a good local experience: casual, simple but tasty, fast service and great prices (with a very extensive menu). Will come back here again.
The food was absolutely delicious and the service was prompt. They cater mostly to locals so it would have been helpful to speak Spanish. I would definitely go back but we definitely needed Google Translate. It was a very relaxed environment and nicely spaced tables! read more

This is a "locals" place, which when we first visited 20+ years ago, was on the main boulevard in Cabo San Lucas where Squid Row is now. They moved a few years later and by luck, we were able to find them. We go every year to get takeout, chicken and ribs and a few times, have eaten lunch there as well. Great authentic Mexican food, nothing fancy but excellent. read more

Came here for the chicken only to find out they were all out of chicken... despite it being 5:30 and they close at 10pm. So as an alternative I ordered the Mexican combo which came with carne asada, chile relleno, refried beans, a tostada with guac and an enchilada. It was a lot of food for the price however I was not overly impressed with the flavours. My favourite was the chile relleno as I enjoyed the sauce however the pepper was thickly breaded and got soggy quickly. I didn't touch my beans at all because they were subpar and the enchilada was stuffed with very dry chicken. We ordered a choco flan at the end which was a bit of a redeemer. Half choco cake, half flan? YES PLEASE! The service was okay, our main waiter wasn't too friendly and always seemed like we were an inconvenience. He didn't come by much so I had to walk up the bar myself to get limes from the bartender. The bartender however was very friendly and quick! The tin roof also makes you feel like you're eating in a Costco warehouse. This place is super economical so I don't really have any opinions on the setting as there was nothing outstanding or concerning. I did like that there was a free standing hand washing station to wash your hands after eating ribs or (lucky them) chicken. Fingers crossed there's chicken next trip. read more

Just outside of the marina and main street of Cabo. Great food and greeted with the smell of great chicken. All our food was cooked perfectly and came out hot and fresh. Pretty inexpensive as well. Definitely recommend this place and will return next time we are in Cabo. read more

This place is so effing legit. My wife and I walked around the marina and rebuking the slew of thirsty vendors and restaurants peddling their crap wares and food made us hungry. We left the marina and decided to find a local place. She spotted the golden chicken from down the street and we went in. We decided on adult beverages ($50 pesos each) and when they arrived they were large and strong. The margarita is home made and you can taste a big difference vs places that use mix. We ordered a whole roast chicken with rice and beans for a total of $170 pesos and when it arrives we were blown away by it. Easily the best and cheapest meal we've had in Cabo. This place is great!! Go here and you won't be sorry. read more

Definitely pleased with this restaurant. Had the Mexican combo and the pork ribs/ chicken combo. The chicken was good but I'd prefer a crispier skin and more in depth grill flavor. The ribs were delicious and the red rice was okay. The meal came with a few tortillas and a side of sopa (macaroni salad). The green salsa is also good. We were so hungry after spending the day at the beach so not sure if our taste buds were tricked but we ate good and left full. We found this location just a few blocks from the main road. read more
Great place for lunch or dinner. We tried the chicken fajitas, the combo plate, and chicken mole enchiladas. All were excellent, and 5 stars given the reasonable prices. Excellent location, a few blocks up from the mall. You can't go wrong here. Update: Took some more friends there a couple weeks later, and we stil love the place. Servers are great, Prices are great. If you're like me and don't really like to the resort food when in Mexico do yourself a favor and load up your friends, grab a bottle of tequila (yes, really), and head out to this place. Spent a few months living down in Cabo and became friendly with several locals (cab drivers, hotel workers, bartenders, etc..) and they all told me about this place. It's basically the go-to place in Cabo San Lucas for rotisserie chicken and ribs. read more

Chicken is bomb! The ribs were good. The Spanish rice was good and flavorful!! Price: off the chain sooo affordable! FTW! A meal that cost us $20 USD for a whole chicken, ribs with rice and macaroni salad, along with a liter of rice (the whole chicken cane with a side of rice and macaroni salad too). Recommended by the locals. You order first and then you can sit to eat or you go to the pick up line. We ordered to go. They move so fast so make sure you have everything. Also, it comes with tortillas and green salsa verde. Sooo good! Highly recommended! read more

My wife and I go to Cabo regularly and we are always on the look out for a new place to try. El Pollo De Oros was recommended to us and so we went. Between us we had their chicken and ribs. Both were really good and you can't beat the prices. Our meal, including beer was less than $20 USD. This place made it to our "must visit" places. read more
There's far more than chicken on the menu - but if a restaurant has chicken in its name, that might be a good thing to order - with mole (as I did). Service is quick. Sometimes there is live entertainment with a female singer taking audience requests and trying to get male diners at each table to dance with her (probably in hopes of getting tipped). Easy to find. read more

Local gem for those in-the-know that offers amazing food for equally amazing prices. El Pollo de Oro is a few blocks into town, away from the bars and clubs of downtown. Seating is abundant and the servers are quick to take care of you. The food here comes out quickly and is absolutely delicious. The ribs are a must, and the macaroni salad is a great complement. The arracherra is a must-try, the meat is very tender and loaded with flavor. The catch of the day a-la-Veracruz is also brimming with flavor and I would highly recommend it. The icing on the cake to all of this is how cheap all of the food is! Managed to feast like a king for less than $10, oftentimes even less than $8! Beers, margaritas, and drinks all run you about $2 as well. They aren't here to take your money, but provide their customers with great food at a more than fair price. If you're real hungry and on a budget, you can do no better than El Pollo de Oro. read more
