Disappointed... will not come back! We have always gone to El Coral when we visit Cabo San Lucas. We have always paid with a credit card, but give a cash tip. Our last visit we did the same, but when returning home and getting our credit card statement, it showed the total had been changed to include a tip of $ 21.21 USD. I had been to El Coral on a previous trip and wanted to return this past March 2026 because it was really enjoyable. I was with my husband and sister and we shared everything. The food was good, the margaritas were good, but the one-star rating is because upon returning home the bill was padded with a 400 peso (21.21usd) tip. I signed the food bill, commented to my family that"no tip" was written in so proceeded to hand them $15.00 USD in cash for the tip. When my statement arrived, it was 21.21 higher because" they "wrote in a tip/propina. What,? that is fraud. My cc tried to dispute the tip at my request, but they conveniently sent them a copy with a tip written in...not my handwriting but Chase does not know that. BEWARE, thieves IMO. A spot right on the upper main road across from the marina. Big huge space with large bar and pool table. Quiet last night but service from Jaimi was great. Started with guacamole and super fresh chips and some vino. I had kind of a baked potato with cheese and carne asada. A bit bland but huge. We visit this location every time we visit Cabo for breakfast. Their omelettes are delicious, the portions of the dishes are quite large and they're served with Chilaquiles which are very tasty The open restaurant allows for the fresh air to come through as you enjoy your meal, the service is always amazing and very attentive to your needs. The restrooms are in the back and very clean and you can always do a pit stop at the parrot cage. I highly recommend a visit when you're in Cabo you will not regret it. read more

Typical Los Cabos service - excellent! Ambiance is fair in an open air dining area. Plenty of fans but not very effective for cooling us from the cooler climes. Food was hit and miss. Shrimp tacos were plain and enjoyable but not outstanding. Pork burro was was a bit better. Good drink menu but we didn't imbibe since we were going to another bar afterwards. We love this place!! The first dinner we ever ate in Cabo was at El Coral and it's been a mainstay for us ever since. You can't walk by without taking notice of the wonderful smell of El Coral's mesquite wood grill cooking up a variety of different meats for their customers. It is absolutely intoxicating. The restaurant is an open air joint with a rustic Mexican feel. El Coral has seating for couples and groups. The bar is well stocked serving delicious margaritas, cerveza and a variety of cocktails. I've had a number of dishes at El Coral but my must have meals are their Arrachera or Chile Rellanó. The Chile Rellanós are very traditional and can be filled with queso and smothered in red sauce. The Arrachera is mesquite grilled, tender and juicy. I'm a big fan of Arrachera and El Coral's is among the best I've ever had. Both plates, along with all other entrees at El Coral are generous in their portions. My favorite side dishes, beans & rice, are also delicious. My wife asked me to mention the lobster tail dinner which was excellent also. As for beverages I typically get their Cadillac Margarita. It's a well crafted drink using top shelf tequila. At $8 it's an incredible value for such deliciousness. The staff at El Coral is always friendly, attentive and reasonably fast. I didn't highlight their breakfasts but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. read more

Five star food and service. I stayed at all inclusive resort across street. But I am not a fan of boring all inclusive dinners. I found this place. I loved the food and it was inexpensive. Try it! I had the garlic grilled red snapper and another night I had the blue crab. Both dinners were exceptionally good and inexpensive. I might get the lobster or octopus tonight. Go to marina for a walk but don't eat at the marina. It's a tourist trap. The food is not as good and they charge you double. read more

We really like this restaurant. Yelp has it listed at two dollar signs but I would put three. That said, the food was very good and the owner of the restaurant was really nice and took good care of us. It's very close to where the cruise ships dock, which is where we came from, but being that it is so close to all of the action and tending to have a higher price tag, we really enjoyed the experience and would recommend this restaurant to anyone who might come through. Killer breakfast spot, the meals are like $4 so you can get so much food for so cheap and the plates of bacon are a buck lol. $10 New York strip and eggs is the most expensive thing on the menu and well worth the ten big ones. The lunch/dinner menu is pretty good as well but the breakfast might just be the best in Cabo, especially for the price and it was never too busy so you can chat up the friendly staff if you so desire. We stayed at Tesoro resort across the street n went in for a happy hour margarita $3, it was good so we went back for dinner. My husband was skeptical of the 4 stars because there was no real kitchen, just few portable stove tops. I was impressed w the fact it said it was founded in 1976 and the price was reasonable. I wanted to order a lobster tail $20 but the server talked me into the $32 combo tail plus filet mignon n shrimps. The filet tasted old n was tougher than leather, I sent it back for a ribeye, it was slightly better but still beefy tasting, the lobster tail was ok. When the bill came we were shocked the combo price was not $32 but $34 then they piled on IVA tax, none of the restaurants I had been too charged me this n Any restaurant that would do so, they would have warned so. Making a long story short , this disastrous dinner w tips cost me $56, it was not right as the restaurant inside the Tesoro w a spectacular view of the marina, our dinner w 2 drinks only cost $35. I just dine at the hotel for the rest of our stay, I don't know why the Tesoro restaurant is not in Yelp, maybe I'll make the entry. read more

Should have read more reviews before going here. We used the Los Cabos Passport, which gave us 2 for 1 on the main, so the financial hit wasn't as bad as it could have been. Service was very slow and poor. We never got our water we asked for. It appeared they were more interested in getting people to come in the restaurant than to service on only two people there. It took forever for my husband to get butter for his baked potato. He had the ribs, which were tough, tasteless, and swimming in BBQ sauce. His baked potato had some black thing in it about the size of a small bird's egg. Might have been a rotten spot that was baked in it. Yuck! I had the Mexican Combo, which was actually good, not great, but good. Not sure we'd give this a second chance, especially with so many other great places to eat in CSL. read more

I came here on my own without my group and I'm glad I did. I ordered the beef fajitas for lunch, and they were so good. Their flour tortillas were some of the best I ever had. Loved this restaurant! I just got back from a trip to Cabo. El Coral was two blocks from the condo we stayed in and we went there on our first night. It set the tone for our entire trip, which was a great one! Every time we walked by, our server recognized us and would shout out funny, endearing things.
