Great facility and great doctors and staff. I'm very happy to be able to find such good care so close to my home.

El Pueblo Health Services has gone down hill over the last year. It's nearly impossible to reach anyone. I had a physical last week and it was suggested that I get blood work done at their on sight blod lab and after fasting the lab technician didn't have any information for my lab work. There was no one available to give him the required infromation. This and never having anyone respond to my voicemails was the last straw for me. read more

I wrote a review six years ago and nothing has changed. In this case its a good thing. They still have labs on-site. Front desk staff us friendly and bilingual. Doctors and nurses are professional, friendly and take their time. ​ read more

I have had nothing but problems with the staff trying to schedule appoinments for my medical care. I am constantly having my call dropped, after waiting more than 30 minutes trying to reach someone. This is unprofessional and comp[letely unacceptable. How many more clients will you lose due to your staff?? The answer - all of them! read more

I've been trying to talk to the office manager for almost a month. She won't call me back. I've spent a total of an hour and a half on hold on three separate occasions, only to be finally told, "She's not in her office." "She's not in today and I don't know when she'll return." "She's in a meeting." Messages and phone mail left for her to call me. Nothing. "Please call me!" left on the "Contact El Pueblo" page of the website. Nothing. read more

Called for a yearly checkup and due to Covid they did not want me to come in but did a phone call. Few months later I get a bill for visit and they claim I did not have checkup and my insurance will only pay 100% for checkups. They now claim it was only an office visit. The CNP only mentioned that due to small issue with blood work results she wanted to revisit it in 3 month. Never mentioned it was not a year checkup. Last year they did the same thing and insurance paid 100% Office changes rules without telling patient. Their communication with patient is terrible and then blames patient for misunderstanding May have to look for a better medical provider read more

My personal experience: the front desk staff have always treated myself and anyone I have seen while in the waiting area with respect and kindness. The medical assistant I usually see is very professional. I find Dr. Hartman to be one of the most caring doctors and someone who knows when a referral to a specialist is needed. Anytime I have had an urgent need the staff always does everything they are able to to get me seen as soon as possible. There is one P.A. there that I absolutely refuse to see. Other than this one person, I find Dr. Hartman and the staff at El Pueblo to be excellent. read more

I called today to get an appointment with my doctor Dr Steven Heartman, I can't get in to see him until late July and asked if I could see any other physician, I was told no. I had the Johnson & Johnson vaccine and my ankles are swelling, ache and are turning black and blue. A sign that could be a blood clot. Still a no to be seen by a doctor. My first appointment, I made it clear I want a doctor that can see if I need to be seen not run to the Urgent Care or ER. Dr Heartman said I would always be able to get in within a few days. So far after being at this clinic for 3 years it has never happened. I understand not being able to get in the day I call or even the next day, but I do except to be seen in a week when I am sick or if my ankles are swollen and black and black, not in four to six weeks. So basically to sum this up, if you are looking for a doctor to see you once a year to prescribe medication that you need to take, great place; but if you need a doctor when you are sick, sinus infection, ear infection, strep throat, possible blood clot, this is not the place to go. read more

Dr. Hartman and his staff give 5 star professional service in a compassionate setting. They take time to listen and I never feel rushed. I recommend them whole heartedly! read more

A nice little clinic with a great staff. Have been there several times and have always gotten great care. Seems you always need to wait a bit but I have never been to a clinic where you got helped exactly on time. read more

Not healthcare , not thorough. Skipped a BASIC urine test that showed I may have kidney damage. I asked for the test and didn't get it there. Please enter at your own risk. They used to be good but not anymore. They lost my blood for a test. That wasn't a big deal but then they LIED . At some point they were going to have to tell the truth, so.... why lie? My health has gotten worse after the new medical people took over. They IGNORE the past ten years of history, and they don't care to even perform an examination. The doctor always has a student, and his sole purpose in life, outside of bleeding patients of money, is to sound 'smart' to his student. If you want poorer heath, then go see Dr. H. If I could give this clinic zero stars, I would. My first doctor there, Dr. Firestone, was great but he retired. Even then you sometimes had to wait an hour past your appointment time. The guy who took over and became the clinic director, Dr. Steven Hartman, is one of the worst doctors I've ever had in my life. I have a fairly rare condition called essential tremors. Dr. Firestone had no problem prescribing my medication as indicated by a neurologist for the condition. Hartman prescribed it for about a year, maybe six months and then wouldn't anymore and wanted to try alternative treatments. I've currently been on the medication I take for it at the same dosage for at least 15 years. I had to find another doctor a lot farther away to continue my meds. Hartman doesn't know anything about the condition so he doesn't know what he's talking about. He also had a trainee from medical school with no experience do my prostate exam. He's an idiot. read more

Really bad care. I was a patient there until last week. My first visit was in January. My husband and I found a new doctor after a number of unprofessional and stupid things happened there. One of the medical assistants is completely incompetent. She gives inaccurate and incomplete information, makes up recommendations based on her unprofessional interpretation of lab and x-ray tests. She relays incorrect information and gives out incomplete paperwork for referrals. I have never seen such a rinky-dink operation. As a retired family nurse practitioner I am appalled at the quality of service and embarrassed that they represent yourselves as medical people. read more

This place is much better than it was under it's founder. I appreciate their holistic approach to health. I don't feel like a life support system for a wallet in the whole insurance/medical/bigpharm industry at El Pueblo. The staff has a real understanding and appreciation for the health traditions of this very old and traditional community and tailors their advice accordingly. I have been going to this clinic for nearly 25 years mostly out of convenience or necessity and had some pretty marginal experiences under it's original medical direction. In fact, I had quit going for a period of about 10 years due to unnecessary and excessive prescriptions. I'm very happy with them now. read more
