Which is sad but everybody there is so warm and welcoming, no judgement everybody has their own recliner chair that they can sit in. Try to be as comfortable as possible. They do is much as they can to make you feel at home and not feel alone and have services available to you especially with chemo every week. They remember your name and every time we go in there I always meet a patient or patients who Absolute Angels. The people who helped/ helping my mom stay alive are angels on Earth. I can't say enough about Dr. Pearsall's care and professionalism. No detail was too small, in transfering my care-thyroid, IBS, teeth, etc. And, Oh boy--I saw they have a support group for head-throat cancer patients. Something that Albuquerque really needs. The lady who he spoke to originally said his medication would be ready in about ten minutes and to have a seat he said that she seemed to have an attitude and was just not the nicest person to him, he ended up waiting almost an hour. He walked back up to the window and was told by a young lady he said was named Arianna the lady helping him originally stepped out and didn't get it filled yet. He said the young lady who helped him after being forgotten about was a much better help and actually got him his medication and was very apologetic for the other worker's treatment towards my grandpa, he grabbed the young ladies name to thank her and said he really appreciated the help that she gave and the kindness she showed him. Sadly just really poor service from initial help.

This Presbyterian facility seems to be a secret. Most of the doctors are good, some very good, and…read moremost of them are trained at MD Anderson. They sponsor cancer support groups. They have a full range of chaplains, social workers, counselors, and financial advisors to help you find the best options. They listen and try to help. Pres is pushing Downtown and Rust on the West side, but you have many of the same doctors here. Your family is welcome to be with you at a doctor's visit. Adequate parking doesn't hurt either. The waiting room is small and pleasant. It's clean. They have their puzzle table. I had trouble with a PCP, and my oncologist got on the phone. The PCP wasn't happy, so my oncologist got hold of PHS, and I got a new PCP that I really like. This is so much better than the hassle driving and parking @ Downtown Pres, and beats the long drive to the West side, Rust Medical Center. It's right by the I-40-Wyoming exit.

There's no use in having a double board certified doctor if they have terrible bedside manner and can't even explain your situation to you in a kind and compassionate way. My family and I had a number of questions for Dr. Finklestein to understand the situation and treatment approach, but she acted as if we were wasting her time. We didn't get all our questions answered and I left feeling more lost and scared. It was an extremely frustrating experience and she could barely acknowledge my support system that came with me to ask questions, get all the info, and help us plan for the future. Cancer is a sensitive speciality, work in research if you don't have the demeanor for patient interaction. 2 stars because the staff is kind and good nurses.

This Doctor is Special, she listens, she's very careful to not cause undo pain. She deals Specifically with individuals with Crohn's Disease. I couldn't say enough about how thankful I was for this. The appointment took about an hour and half total, not bad for UNM.

Andrew Grollman is THE WORST Urologist I've ever met. He's extremely arrogant, rude, belittling,…read moredisrespectful, insensitive, pushy, and doesn't deserve to be a doctor at all. He's a HUGE WASTE of money, time, effort, and energy.... I've been experiencing severe pain in my right side for 2 weeks. I went to the Emergency Room and when they took a CAT scan, the Radiologist found scattered lesions in my right kidney. The hospital gave me pain medicine until I could get an appt with a urologist. My mother's mother passed away from kidney cancer and it started when she was around my age now, so there's a history here. Thankfully an appt became available within three days of going to the ER, so I was looking forward to seeing Andrew Grollman (I refuse to call him doctor). I hadn't taken any pain medicine that day so he can push down on the area where I'm having pain, gauge it on a scale of 1-10, then talk with me about treatment from there... Nope! He came into the room with the nurse, who actually held the door open and didn't close it for privacy. Then Andrew Grollman DID NOT ask me to show him the location of the pain, how much it hurt, how long have I've been experiencing it... Instead, HE sat down on the patient bed while I sat in a chair. He quickly told me that he looked at my records and said, "It's nothing," and, "I shouldn't be feeling any pain."... I was a half hour early for my appt and he was acting like I was an hour late. He also acted like I didn't know what I was talking about. I showed him where the pain was and described my symptoms. He LITERALLY didn't care and kept trying to convince me that "it's nothing." Well, if it was "nothing," then I wouldn't have spent 8 hours in the Emergency Room, I wouldn't be in pain going on for 3 weeks now, and I really don't consider "multiple lesions in my kidney" to be nothing. When I tried to talk about my condition, he kept cutting me off and repeating himself. He talked over me, he talked down to me, he wasn't respectful, he had absolutely no bedside manner, and REALLY didn't care that I was in pain that is now at a level 14. So now I have to put more time, money, effort, and energy into finding and going to another urologist. Even worse, I have to be in pain that is getting progressively worse by the day for longer than I need to be and should be. I'm writing this review to warn everyone else to not make the mistake I did of relying on Andrew Grollman to care about you and help your condition. Save yourself the trouble and find another urologist.

Andy (I won't call him Doctor...more on that below) may be a technically proficient surgeon but he is a terrible human being, lacking in empathy and human compassion, and cowardly to boot. He doesn't care anything for his patients on a human level, and he won't lift one finger to help you once surgery is finished. PLEASE read the reviews online before deciding to have him perform any procedure on you or your loved one. My story: I was referred to Lovelace urology for an issue and was assigned to Andy. Everything seemed to go well, up through having the needed surgery. But that's where it ended. Once I was out of the hospital, it was like Andy and his crew had abandoned me on the curb. There was considerable post-op pain, for which I was prescribed Percocet, enough for four days. When I tried to stop the pain med, the pain went up to a 10. I have never in my life experienced pain like that. The Percocet (which I have never taken except post-surgery) did relieve the pain. But on the fourth day it ran out. I was panicked, as was my wife who witnessed my begging and literally crying for some way to relieve the pain. She started calling Lovelace that next morning at 8 am, trying to get a message to Andy that I needed a little more pain med. We didn't hear back. My wife started calling hourly. It took four and a half hours to get a call back from someone on Andy's team, which may not seem like much, but believe me that when you are in such pain, it can seem like days. Andy's team member was condescending, criticizing me for taking all the Percocet already, even though I took it in the time it was prescribed for. She assured me that Andy would not prescribe any more. Neither would he talk to me. She suggested that I take Advil or go to the ER. I protested. She said she would have a triage nurse call me. No one ever called. Andy didn't care about my pain. He didn't care about my recovery. Otherwise, it would be standard to have someone from urology call a few days after surgery to check up on the patient. Instead: crickets. He insulates himself behind a wall of assistants and techs who are instructed never to let a lowly patient talk to him. And that culture of not caring permeates the team, trickling down from him. A wise man once told me, "If the person at the top is a dummy, eventually everyone in the organization will be a dummy". And seems to be true at Lovelace urology. Among other things, Andy is a "dummy"! Fast forward to the two-week post-op visit. My wife and I did meet with Andy. He went through his script of how the surgery went and what would happen from here. I then told him I wanted to talk to him frankly about my experience in recovering during the last two weeks. As I asked him why he won't return calls, why even his team won't return calls, why he would let me suffer in such pain (which I described in detail), he tried to talk over me, giving excuses or talking about "policy". When that didn't work and I continued to ask reasonable questions, his demeanor changed and he literally ran...RAN... out of the room, telling me I had to talk to his manager. The image I had was of a scared little boy running home yelling "I want my Mommy!" What a COWARD! He not only won't talk to a patient as an adult and a human being, recognizing the person (as opposed to the body to be operated on) he is dealing with, he is terrified of adult communication! That's why I refuse to honor him with the title of Doctor. A real doctor needs to treat the whole patient, understand their needs, and be ready to address those needs. As the head of the team, he needs to train, and require, members of the team to live up to those standards. Andy does none of that. He seems interested only in doing surgery so he can make money. Andy Grollman is what would happen if a robot wanted to be a doctor and then turned into a real boy! Why does Lovelace still employ him? 2

I was diagnosed with a small breast cancer and I sought what I thought was the best doctor for this type of cancer and the best hospital for it. Dr. Ridgeway turned out to be the worst. He never asked me how I felt after the surgery I never even spoke to him until his office called me for a telephone discussion 5 months later. His discussion was about how quiet the office and building was due to furloughs of personnel. He talked about what would happen when patients returned and there would be a lack of personnel to assist in treatment. He never asked me how my surgery went, or how I was feeling. He never spoke to me prior to the surgery of what h e was going to do or what I could expect, nothing! He finally reminded himself that he needed to schedule a mammogram and followup He scheduled the mammogram for November 2020 and a review for December 2020. I had my surgery in Jan 2020. I asked him what he did to me since I could not fit into a Bra,all he did was laugh for 3-4 minutes and never answered me. In August 2020 I received a call from his office informing me that Dr. Ridgeway scheduled me for a mammogram to be conducted in 2 days. After the mammogram I asked the radiologist if he noticed any reconstruction and he responded NO. Dr. Ridgeway he removed half of my breast and the good one he spread the tissue until the flatness matched the one he removed tissue from. He has no reason to touch the good breast. The radiologist placed a picture of 2 fried eggs sunny side up and told me this is what my breast now look like. I will need reconstruction of my breast. I asked the Dr Ridgeway why did he do this he remarked why should I be upset with his action. To make this story short Dr. Ridgeway charged my insurance $82,000 for unnecessary mutilation and scarring of my left breast and a sloppy surgery to my right breast. I don't understand why he is still at Lovelace, or any where else. This Doctor is half blind. This whole situation if so bad that even another doctor advised me not to return to that clinic for anything.

When I actually got to see the doctor I was met with distain and no compassion didn't want to figure out what was wrong. Just wanted to refer me to other people so I went and started again going online trying to figure out my own symptoms. Based on my lab work that was done that the doctor had access to, so I have some type of infection could have prescribed me something based on that ordered some test. I was looked at now just oh well you have a small fibroid and nothing is gonna help your pain. We can maybe try this and maybe try that maybe try this but didn't wanna actually figure it out. Just wanted to refer me somewhere else so hopefully the excruciating pain she put me through for the test actually get run so I can get the results and hopefully get a doctor that will actually try and figure out what's wrong and help instead of criticizing and treat me like I didn't matter
