Quick taco truck to satisfy your taco needs. It's close to the airport which makes it a great spot if you need to go there to pick up friends or if you want food before you leave. There aren't really tables to sit when we came but a little side counter with high seats off the side of the truck. We came here after seeing a few reviews and wanting actual Mexican food and not New Mexican food. Tacos were pretty standard and tasty. We ordered extra rice and beans and were a little disappointed in the two. Both could have used a little extra flavor. Come support your local taco truck! read more

Came to visit some family in Santa Fe from San Diego, CA and were looking for a great place to grab a bite. Found this hidden gem and wow was it amazing. The customer service is one of a kind. We were recommended to have the beef tongue and intestine tocos here, so we planned our special trip from Santa Fe downtown to this food truck for the tacos. The beef tongue are juicy and well seasoned, and the beef intestine are very crispy with the aroma. And the Al pastor ones are so good that we had all the tocos with our thumbs up, and decided to try quesadillas the next day. Was looking for a place to get dinner "late" at night around 9pm and this was one of the few places that was open (till 10pm). SO GLAD we came. One of my favorite meals of the trip! Great menu, great service. Food made quick and delicious. I got a barbacoa sincronizada which kind of felt like a quesadilla with added ham. My girlfriend got two gorditas. I wish we had more of an appetite or time to revisit because I really wanted to try a torta or gringas. Not sure if the server spoke English - we knew enough Spanish to get by. It was 9pm and people were still coming through picking up to go orders. We chose to sit outside to eat - there's like two or three tables. Seems very popular with the locals. We were a group of 5 vegetarians and we called in just before closure around 9.55 pm and the owner not only accepted our request but also prepared fresh and delicious vegetarian food in a matter of 15 mins we were transformed from hunger pangs to just licking our fingers with flavor and yummy goodness. Great taco truck! Amongst the tourist prices and hustle and bustle of the city this place was a little paradise. Food was absolutely amazing! I had 4 shrimp tacos which came with rice and salsa- some of the best I have ever had truly! The fresh warm tortilla chips with salsa were great! Also got a veggie burrito(they don't have one on the menu but we're more than willing to put one together for us) which had a freshly made tortilla, rice and beans, lots of veggies, and we added avocado as well! They were kind and friendly, it was cute and quaint spot off the busy road where we could even park in the shade. We added on about three things after placing the initial order because it was just so delicious and they were incredibly accommodating! Not to mention the prices were very low for the area! This place is the best Mexican food truck you've never heard of. There are more popular food trucks closer to town, more colorful food trucks, those with better script or somewhat better parking (dirt lots). None have better food. The portions at El Queretano are substantial and the flavors are always spot on! I order the lengua tacos, buche tacos, and tripas tacos/sopes. Some food trucks don't carry these items or they say they are always out (i.e. they don't carry them) but El Q does and the meat is always fresh and they provide plenty of lime and various salsas. My 4 year old kids shares all these items with me and that's saying a lot because he is a super picky eater. My wife loves their carne asada tacos and they have never done her wrong. The owners are super friendly and the clientele are usually blue collar or families who know good food. Their hours are 11a-10p but you might want to call beforehand because sometimes they close early. All in all I'd say eat here. Make the trip to Airport Road. Sit at their little table and watch some futbol or telenovelas (oh yeah they have a flatscreen tv attached to the food truck!) and gorge yourself on their amazing food!!! read more
