I placed an order to go and went inside to pick it up. The employee's were all helpful and kind. My food wasn't quite ready yet so I went to the bathroom while waiting. Bathroom was clean. The food was hot and fresh. The veggies were lacking of a little salt but otherwise cooked perfectly. The chicken was cooked well and grilled with great color. The pico de gallo was phenomenal and the rice was so yummy and flavorful. Which is surprising as most times I find Spanish rice lacking in flavor. I've been to the restaurant a time or two. This was by far the worst experience. I came in to Las Palmas with my husband after a long day. We were craving Mexican food. As always we were seated quickly. I wanted to try something new so I opted for Birria tacos! Overall, the consume' was tasty but the onions were raw. I'm used to them being grilled. But to be honest, most of my food including my entree and appetizer (queso with ground beef) was pretty bland-- excluding the salsa which never disappoints. I had to send back my chips because they tasted a little scorched and were a bit crumbly. I found a small burnt French fry intermingled with the nacho chips. If that wasn't t enough, my husband found a strand of blond hair in his Seafood Chimichanga (Chimichanga Del Mar). We were polite and ordered another-- "without the hair". waitress about the hair she said that she would comp it but no management came to the table to apologize AND it was not comped. The restaurant was quiet and the waitress was nice but I did feel a little rushed. I did not enjoy our little impromptu night out. At the conclusion of our outting, we wrapped our food up paid the bill and left. Apparently, it's best to come to this restaurant during the day or not at all. What I love most about all Las Palmas locations is the consistency. It seems no matter what location I am at the food taste the same as the last. Which for me is a great thing. The lunch specials and kids meals are great. Definitely a good place to bring your family. My only complaint about this location was the time it took to get my check. Maybe the smaller size would have been stronger. The shrimp enchiladas were good. Perhaps go lighter on covering the one that gets covered with cheese. The taco salsa was delicious. I know we are in no short supply of Mexican restaurants but this one really is good. We drive from Denham and pass about 5 other Mexican restaurants to go here. Their steak meat is great (one of my metrics for measuring their quality) and their margaritas are fantastic too (my other metric haha). We love it. The wait staff has always been pretty good, you can expect about a 30 min wait on Friday or Saturday nights but during the week there is little to no wait. read more

We love this place! We come here very frequently to have impromptu family meet up dinner. Tonight, my mom surprised me with gifts for an early birthday dinner. We had Menzie for our server and she was absolutely wonderful. Service was prompt and given with the best attitude and demeanor. We will definitely ask for Menzie next time we come back! Best Fajitas I've Had In Louisiana!!! My wife and I went here for lunch and ordered beef and shrimp fajitas. The beef was thick, juicy, and very flavorful. The shimp were cooked and seasoned perfect. Ordered take out tonight. Packed house with standing room only in the waiting area. People without masks, cramped in the small area, not eating or drinking just talking and hanging out. Got half way home and realized that they messed up our order and left off an order of shrimp quesadillas (our order was 6 entrees plus appetizers $75+). I called to notify them and we went back for our quesadillas. Asked for manager who said, "What can I do for you to make it right?" Why should I have to ask for something to make it right? Ordered taco salad & it was cold like it had been in a refrigerator, cheese clumped together, meat extremely dry & chips from a month ago.... spoke with Ricardo, the manager & he was so rude ! Refused to replace or return money $15.53 ! Everyone knows at this time, no one can afford to throw away $$. I also have MS & drove from Clinton to pick up the salad. I will never go back... no excuse for him to be rude, after all, their error. Just saying...if you get food you have to throw away......don't expect to get anything in return !!! It was ok Texican food. Hubby had a fajita tower and the steak was killer. It was juice and tender and awesome flavor. I had a mixed plate with enchilada and burrito and taco and it was fair. It was regular beef. The drinks were good and chips and salsa were great. Service was sloooow though but still friendly and polite. Overall average experience. There's definitely better Tex Mex around but I wouldn't mind meeting friends for drinks and chips and salsa here. I really do like the salsa here! read more
