My favorite part about it is the setting. The simplicity but nostalgic touches are what made this an amazing meal. Ordered the half chicken which was delicious. Well worth the 20 min wait and actually turned out to be enough to feed the whole family. We also added on the Brisket Nachos and Grilled Cheese for the kids. The brisket was tender but would have liked a little more on the nachos and maybe would suggest house made tortilla chips but all in all they were still good. Although the food was good it was the setting that stole the show. Watching the kids play in the swings and catching fireflies while snagging bites of their sandwich took me back to my own childhood. This place is amazing!!! A hidden treasure off Potranco. We had the whole chicken which came with rice, beans, torts, grilled jalapeño, grilled onion, salsa and pico. Great atmosphere. Okay food. I decided to give this place a try after driving past it multiple times before. The atmosphere is amazing. Lots of space and plenty of outdoor seating, varying from park benches to cushioned patio chairs. They even have a few goals and soccer balls for kids to play with. The cashier looked like a younger Clint Eastwood (not relevant to the review, but I just thought I would add it). I ordered the Texas burger (1/2 pound burger with ham, onions, grilled jalapeños, avocado, and asadero cheese). The food is reasonably priced, the burger was $8 and included chips. A soda can was an additional $1. While I waited for my food I swung on one of the tree swings and was brought back to my days in elementary school on the playground. The food wasn't worth the wait though, as fun as the wait may have been. The bun was fresh, but the burger left much to be desired. Even with the numerous toppings, it wasn't enough to mask the underwhelmingness of the burger itself. It was a disappointing contrast to the great atmosphere I was surrounded by. The brisket nachos were horrible. Chips were super stale and they didn't even put enough brisket. What a rip off!! Will never be going back!
