Nice little spot. First time here and I was pleased. I ordered a migas taco and chorizo and egg taco. The migas taco was served plain, just eggs and chips. I don't know if you can order it "con todo" but I would have liked some jalapenos in it. The chorizo was tasty but also could have been spicier. The tortillas are A+. Nice and fluffy like my mom used to make. The green salsa could have been spicier, too. Overall, everything was really good but could have been spicier. The tortillas, however were excellent. (Drive-Thru) The service is good, Food is good however they charge you for lime? Smh so ridiculous. You'd think if you're spending money on tacos and you ask for a lime to put on your tacos they would give you at least one or even half a lime. I would've given this restaurant a higher score had one of their waitresses, Laura, not screwed up my order, put up an attitude when I called her out on it and reminded her that I didn't want beans with my carne guisada plate. I even ordered by number in Spanish so she could understand. She still screwed up by bringing me a Mexican plate. I told her I didn't want that and had specifically ordered a carne guisada plate without beans. Her people skills are obviously lacking and she has no business waiting on people and should be mopping,sweeping and scrubbing floors instead. read more

I went to Taurino on 09/05/23. The food and service had always been great. Food was ok this time corn tortillas were tough , I had enchiladas. My main concern was the server. On my ticket she is listed as Training 2. I totally understand about eating during your shift but my concern was I watched her eat her meal and constantly took her food and put it in her mouth with her fingers!! That was disgusting and unsanitary!! My seat was facing her so I watched her eat with her fingers. She got up to check on our order and delivered it. SHE DID NOT WASH HER HANDS!! We just all went through Covid!! There is a bad cold going around, strep throat, and cases of Covid according to the pharmacist at our local Target!! I will not be eating At Taurino's again. I haven't been at this location in a while and now I know why. It is pretty big inside with a high ceiling beautifully done but tables are really squeezed in. You sit and you are practically on top of the other person. It's Sunday morning and this place is packed so a it's noisy but between the TV and music blaring its worst, you practically have to yell across the table to get heard. Service was good we were acknowledged immediately and a waitress took our drink order. They also gave us our breakfast tacos quickly within 5 minutes of ordering. Love the fact that they had homemade tortillas flour and corn but out of our 4 tacos one was super greasy we used several napkins to dab the grease off. I had run out of coffee and my waitress was busy but there was another lady taking coffee to a table and I figured she would come my way but no so after a few minutes I walked and asked for it myself. While I was waiting I decided to drink my cup of water asi sipped it I notice something in it, disgusting it was a piece of an open sugar and it was regular sugar which I don't use. We've been enjoying Taurino's for many years and we always will. Nothing changes excellent the prices but that's expected. Service is great, food is amazing and it's a casual restaurant. We usually go on an early Sunday morning right after church so there is a big crowd but the employees are on top of their customers. Food is always hot and fresh. I spoke to GINA (Manager), and after her poor customer service skills, she said I don't want to fight anymore, and come pick up your two tacos. Very good Mexican food. My parents live down the street and so we have come here for years. My dad was a regular customer here for years in the morning too. They do sometimes make mistakes in the drive thru, but they are quick and happy to fix them. The nachos are my favorite thing on the menu. read more

Highly recommend Taurinos. They are family owned and local. Today they catered a reception for my father in law who passed. Held an event at the community center at St Dominic's church. Thy did a great job catering for about 150 people. Food was awesome and service was great. This is a family favorite. read more

Don't have anything bad to say about this place. The owners are really nice & down to earth. The wait staff is friendly & they please & "entertain" my grandma, which is a job in & of itself LOL! This is definitely a neighborhood restaurant where you can tell has its regulars (including my extended family) never had a problem with the food. Pork chops & eggs are my fave for breakfast. Great west side taqueria with a really good reputation in this part of town. I Normally visit these type of places for breakfast as I love Mexican breakfast: huevos rancheros, barbacoa, beans, tortillas, tacos of all kinds, salsa (red and green), etc... The prices i say are fair, though, they are a little above the average price for the area but worth spending the extra pocket change as the food is better quality than its competitors. The tortillas are semi fluffy with a great flavor and are a great compliment to my huevos ranchero plate. The barbacoa was juicy but not fatty and also very flavorful. The salsas are also very good and give a little heat without burning your mouth. The carne guisada with cheese tacos serve a hearty meal in itself as the tender meat and gravy mixture blend nicely with the yellow (American?) cheese. read more

The old lady Gina is disrespectful and ghetto, I've been coming to this place for years and never had a bad experience until today. They changed so much, the food burned my tongue even after I tried to cool it down and they took my plate from me yet still charged me even though I took one bite and never touched it again. Gina said there was nothing wrong with it and like I've said I couldn't even enjoy my food because my tongue was burned. She became hostile and the girls were rude too and they don't speak English so they had a young girl with tattoos translate, but I understood what they were saying and I told them in Spanish I didn't even eat my oatmeal but the manager was just rude in general making me pissed. please don't come to this location they've changed so much and Gina needs to get trained on how to handle situations because that ghetto attitude won't fly! read more

I would go to this place pretty much every sunday morning that i was in town for breakfast with my dad before i went back to college station. You would have to arrive before 10 to skip the church crowd otherwise it gets pretty pack and the seating is first come first serve. The inside is nicely decorated with a spanish theme of bullfighting complete with a bullfighter cape hanging from the ceiling. the waiters greet you pretty quick. For breakfast I would usually get either a bean and cheese taco, ham and egg or a huevos rancheros plate, my dad would always get their menudo. Hes on a quest for the perfect menudo and has seem to find one here. Their tortillas are homemade and so delicious. I usually avoid ordering ham and egg tacos since about half of the time its pretty much all egg and two pieces of ham but here its a really good amount and its the real chunky ham. The huevos rancheros is pretty decent but not spectacular but when its on special its damn cheap but you dont get bacon (you have to pay a lil more) I had lunch once or twice here and their enchiladas were pretty good and the rice too. it wasn't some weird rice with random veggies which is always a plus to me. the beans were yummy and you get tortillas to go with your meal, which i still cant believe some mexican places dont do. We have been going here weekly for the last five years; our first bad experience with menudo on June 6 turned into an ugly scenario. I took the uncooked item back and only wanted to replace said item. At the drive thru window , managers Luis and Gina were both extremely belligerent and would not let me talk. I could not get one word in. As my wife rarely cooks anymore, we dine out a lot. This has got to be the worst experience and actually humiliating response by so called christians. This restaurant is the worst!!! I came today and got the enchilada plate. It was really hard to explain to my waitress if it can be remade. She said sure but all they did was reheat it. I never said it was cold what I said was it was hard. She called the manager. I explained my problem. The manager said well no one else is complaning and I should just eat it! Wow!! Bottom line she made it clear that she didn't want to through away food. Well I'm not one to want to through my money too. It was a simple problem that could have been fix but no!!!.
