The sign on the restaurant building now says "Taco N Todo" but they're not using the building yet at the time of this review (September 2026) but, instead have a food truck and a covered open-air dining room. There is no AC. Most people order take-out at this point, but it was late enough the heat was tolerable, a breeze was blowing, so I chose to dine in. I was greeted upon my arrival by the servers who did an exceptional job explaining what they had to offer. They have several kinds of tacos, panchos, sincronizadas, baked potatoes (topped with meat or plain, quesadillas, espadas, lonches, tortas, burgers, hot dogs, charro beans, birria, family platters, and more. I chose a pineapple flavored Jarritos soft drink, 3 Matamoros tacos (fajita, avocado and queso fresco) and two tacos of jalapeños rellenos with fajita and mozzarella cheese. They came with real tortilla chips, salsa, grilled onions, diced onions and cilantro. They offer fresh corn tortillas, flour tortillas or corn tortillas dipped in grease.. i chose the fresh corn tortillas. The tortillas were on the small side, but they were filled to overflowing - the filling could easily have made two or three tacos each. I loved both kinds of tacos. Matamoros tacos has always been a favorite, but the jalapeños rellenos tacos were incredibly good: jalapeño tornado, split and filled with the meat of your choice, and then topped with a blob of melted cheese... They were very filling. My server did a great job, was friendly and helpful. I want to return and try some of their other antojitos, the panchos. I was also pleased with how juicy and tender the fajitas were, not over cooked. This place is now on my list of among the best I've had in the RGV. I hope they are able to open an air conditioned dining room soon, but if not, I'll still go.

They have a more healthy option for those on a cleaner eating as "Tacos Saludables". with cabbage and tomato. The 3 flour tortillas are pretty big for when you have an appetite and need a challenge. the small corn ones are great for a daily choice. I've visited this establishment several times over the years and it never disappoints. They start you off with a cup of beans that does include bacon and sausage so if you're trying to refrain from pork or have an allergy/ religious purpose to refrain from pork. That wouldn't be the option for you. The drinks are all equally fresh and they have bottled sodas from Mexico that are great as well. By the register they offer cakes and other pastries that support local businesses.
