Oneof my favorite places to stop while in the RGV. Food is amazing and portions are HUGE. I ordered take-out both times but service was prompt and my order was ready when promised.

    Espada

I love la Herradura, my all time favorites are the Espadas but yesterday I ordered them and they literally gave me the small tostadas they give with the papa asada, don't get me wrong they are delicious but I was disappointed in the size of the espada. I mean they're still the same price but smaller

I have heard mix reviews from this taqueria and decided to try it for myself. To begin with the floor is SUPER SUPER SLIPPERY!!! Be very careful!!!! I'm not sure if it's because they are super busy all the time that the floor cannot get properly cleaned or the cleaning supplies that they use make the floor slippery. Service is a bit slow. The menu is very simple and to the point. You are able to pick the style of tortilla you would want which is a good thing. I ordered corn bistec tacos on a double tortilla and OMG it's like if I ordered 10 tacos you are able to make two tacos out of one taco since they serve the tacos full of meat. The flavor in my opinion is a mixture of blandness and burned onion taste. The tacos come with a side of grilled onions but they are dripping in oil. The meat is not grilled which gives it a different flavor. Personally I do not recommend these tacos.

Piece of glove in my tacos, that I almost chocked on. I spit it out and placed it there to take the picture

Food was delicious but the overall experience was a nightmare. We made our order to go since we we're in the middle of the Texas winter storm. We figured get our order to go and then go get a hotel room since we lost power at home. It took us hours to find a hotel room since everyone was scrambling to find a room. So after 3 hours later after he picked up or order, we get into our room and start eating. Immediately I chewed into my order of tacos when I find a piece of glove in my taco. I chew it and almost choked on it. We ordered two orders of tacos and a loaded potato with carne asada. After finding the piece of glove in my food, we got disgusted and immediately stopped eating. I called the restaurant to inform them of my finding and they made it seemed like I was lying because "I took long to call them". I explained why it took long to call. They asked for proof via a picture. I text them the picture with the piece of glove and they said they will give me credit for my order. I live 50 minutes away and it took me 2 weeks to go claim my credit. I get there and they tell me that they are only crediting my tacos. I explained to them that we immediately stopped eating after the experience. I didn't argue and just paid for the rest of my order. I'm very disappointed of how things were handled. You lost a couple customers.

The Sharyland location is filthy. You walk to the counter and you can literally feel the grease caked into the floor. Disgusting. Flies all around.

Honestly, this is a good, local place to eat. The waitresses are on top of their game, and are quick to fix a food error. But my biggest concern are the floors. Every time we come here, the floors are slippery from the entrance all the way to the restrooms. Every. Time. I've almost slipped a few times within the past year. I can't really show ya in picture, but it feels like they wax the floor with oil. It's a lawsuit waiting to happen. Don't wear high heels here, ladies.

This place was good i felt they could of had more items on the menu, but its like a quick bite kind of shack to stop at. I tried their tacos de bistec and man those were loaded with meat over flowing, i was in shock but they were good next time ill ask for an extra corn tortilla to make another. Make sure to take an extra shirt when i came out my shirt was smelling of grease which i was not to fond of.

I've been to this location twice now. Their tacos, horchata, and ranchero beans are all delicious. And they have regular, cheap, taqueria prices. However, they're so popular that they're always packed. So, you'll probably find yourself waiting till a table opens up.

    The best tacos in town!!!!!!

Very good tacos but they used to not make the meat too greasy. Now i prefer other taquerias over it because greasy tacos are not apetizing.

I had the flautas which were delicious. Great service, style, and reasonably priced. I will be back for the cocktails. I will also say that their printed menus are really, really, well done. Waiter came and took our orders for drinks and we all started making our selections for food. The chips and salsa they bring out complementary are so good. We did have to wait because they were making a fresh batch but it was worth the wait. We all had a round of drinks and then put in our order for food and it was about 7pm already. Our waiter then came up to the table and asked us if we would mind moving because they had a reservation at 8pm for the area that they chose to sit us in. We were kind of annoyed by that because we had called the day before to make our reservations. We said I guess thinking it was going to be close to 8 that they would move us. Nope about 5-10 mins passed and he came by and asked us if we would mind moving already before our food came out. Considering that again we had a reservation and they knew it was a large party they should have blocked out more than just 2 hrs for us to be there. We moved and the very least they could have done for us is offer a free dessert on the house for the table but they didn't. Now I ordered the flautas which were served on a bead of beans. The menu said shredded chicken but we were told they didn't have chicken they only had beef so I ordered it. The flautes were lacking flavor and probably could have been saved by adding salt to them and the beans but they don't have that at any of the table. I did try some of my friends chicharrones and those were really good. We left around 8:15-8:20 and there was no one that showed up where we were originally sitting... so we could have just stayed where they originally sat us. We left feeling very annoyed.

I'm a huge migas fan and never thought to try chilaquiles. This place did not disappoint. I added eggs, chorizo and avocado with half green and half red sauce. I was surprised to get each adding in an individual stack. I managed to get my egg yolk over the avocado and chorizo. The food was really good, just not what I expected. The flautas de papa were a great buy. Instead of using a corn or flour tortilla to mop up my plate, I was able to use the flauta and with the papa in it, they were like little sponges soaking up all the leftovers
