As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted, seated and brought chips and salsa which I devoured. For starters, we had the guacamole salad and queso. We had to stop eating the queso and guacamole to save room for the main course because it was that good. My wife ordered the ground beef and shredded chicken enchiladas with all the fixings. They were very good with the red sauce and Spanish rice. The beef had a very good seasoning and the chicken had a taste like it had been marinated for a few hours. I had the beef fajitas. The beef was tender, succulent and seasoned well. The only thing that I didn't like was that the fajitas had a sweet taste to it. I believe the sweet taste was from sweet bell peppers or sweet onions, nevertheless, it was too sweet for my taste buds. We enjoyed ourselves, enjoyed the margaritas and the starters, but next time, I'll try some shrimp nachos. I give Ernesto's Mexican Restaurant three out of five drinks. Cheers!

Don't be fooled by appearances. The service was great! The food was served hot and was very flavorful and reminiscent of our travels to Mexico. This isn't your typical Tex-mex. It's definitely more authentic Mexican cuisine. I ordered the chicken green tomatillo enchiladas. The tomatillo sauce was the best I've ever had in my 61 years. It's a 5 star in my book and definitely worth putting this on our regular rotation of restaurants.
