What drew me is I remembered having eaten a great burger from a place in the area a long while ago. The pictures of burgers looks good and the name sounded right so we stopped by. The parking lot was like what I remembered but inside was a different layout so I am not sure if it was the same spot. Anyway, prices were very reasonable! When the food came out, we could immediately see it passed the eye test--cheese drizzling, real meat, grilled bun. First bite was excellent--I could taste the grilled bun, the flavor of the burger and even the crisped grilled parts of the meat. All other bites, just the same. Had me audibly saying "yum". On top of that, they offered horchata to drink and it was delicious. The fries weren't only well seasoned but they also had an usual kick of heat. I have come to this location multiple times with no issues and love the food. I wished they still had the sweet potato fries but that's neither here or there. Tonight I went and took my boyfriend for the first time and the girl behind the counter had the worst attitude ever. When asking questions about the menu she was very dry in her reply as if we were bothering her. There was a group that was already seated prior to us coming in. We had about 6 groups come in after and 3 others stayed as we did too. We ordered our food despite the attitude and sat down. Seating is tight but we didn't mind. We paid 3 something for our tea. While filling it up it ran out. When asked if there was more a snarky remark was no I'm not making anymore and proceeded to try and charge 3.60 something for one of the juices to refill. When asked for bbq it was $.50 and ranch was $1.25 for a 2oz cup. The inside is super tiny. You can't hardly squeeze in so there aren't many places to sit. There is one picnic table outside to sit. The burgers are pretty good, nothing fancy. I had the avocado cheese burger. The fries are really good and a medium portion was plenty. The lemonade? UGH! It had a funky flavor...almost tasted like pickle juice in it. They do have a good variety of flavored drinks and bottled/canned drinks to choose from. We didn't try the churros or fried Oreos but they smelled good. This was a good place to come get a nice size burger. I called ahead on this occasion to avoid wait times. The location is situated in garland off Lavon, next to a car shop. The location is cozy and could possibly be considered a hole in the wall. The burger itself was made fresh and the patty was a good size . My niece recommended this burger spot because of the lunch specials and it did not disappoint! for 8.99, you get a burger, fries, and a canned soda. the burgers are big and filling, which kinda sucks because I was too full to eat all the delicious fries. they also had sandwiches, kids menu options, tacos, and even desserts and aguas frescas. My friend and I were hungry and saw that The Burger House had great reviews. It's a family owned "hole in the wall" burger restaurant with a Mexican twist. We did get a little lost on our way there, but it's located next to a Shell gas station. First, the carne asada fries caught our attention! The fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned. They definitely didn't skimp out on the toppings: tender carne asada, pickled jalapeños, cheese avocado slices, sour cream, cilantro, and tomatoes. It's a decently sized burger, although my critique would be that the patties were on the thinner side. However, the meat was juicy and the toppings added great flavor. It was a very solid burger and left me full! As for the combo - the fries were crispy and well-seasoned. They have ketchup as well as hot sauces and other condiments. The drinks were a real hit for me! There is an assortment of Mexican beverages that are much better than your typical soda offerings in regular burger spots. I picked the Cucumber Lemon Drink, which was very refreshing. It was just a tad too sweet for my liking, but I still finished the whole thing. My friend ordered the Chicken Melt, which was also another standout item. The chicken breast was tender and juicy. First time going it was great, but this was just my 2nd time and it was pretty bad. I called in an order around 9 on Sunday and when I got there I walked in and waited at the counter for 15 minutes no one came over not once no greeting so I went outside and came back in then they walked over. My food was undercooked, thrown together and extremely disappointing. My burger was pink throughout which I can't stand, medium steak yes... but ground beef still pink no thank you!
