Not sure why I haven't tried this place much sooner, but I plan to visit more than I have been because it's delicious. Visited around 6pm on a Thursday and it was steady. I love how festive it is in here with the decor and Spanish music, it's like a fiesta. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Food was delicious. We had quesabarria tacos, tacos, and a burrito. Everyone left satisfied and agreed we'd visit again. They also offer days with specials, so will definitely take advantage of those. read more

Omg!!! They have FRESH HAND MADE TORTILLAS!!! Not a lot of places in the twin cities have freshly pressed tortillas so you can't go wrong with giving this place a try! I had the chicken, asada and al pastor. Of the three I went back a few days later for ONLY the Al pastor. It seriously is so great!! Service is fast! I've been sleeping on El Super Taco. This little restaurant does tasty Mexican food! The menu is small but has lots of options when you change up the protein. The staff were very friendly and approachable for questions on the food choices. The restaurant was very clean and has a nice festive vibe. We ordered three street tacos; two carne asada and one carnitas, and the quesabirria. We also ordered chips and guacamole which was very reasonably priced! The quesabirria was very flavorful, filling and very delicious. We could have split this and been fine. The street tacos were very good. The carne asada was tasty and the carnitas were very good. There is also a small salsa bar for you to get your salsa de árbol or verde guacamole and limes. The parking can be an issue during the day, which is honestly why I haven't made more of an effort to get here, but in the later evening the traffic pattern is much better. Clean new taco place in Woodbury! We went for the $2 taco Tuesday deal! So glad we did. We tried pastor, carnitas, and asada. My typical go-to street taco is asada, but I've been trying to eat a little less beef, so my favorite is the pastor. But they're all good! The freshness of the tortillas is evident! Don't forget the salsa! There's a little salsa bar near the soda machine where you can try different salsas and grab some limes. Sooo good! This location is tucked away in a strip mall near super target. I popped in on a "taco Tuesday" and it was packed! The service: You order at the counter and wait for your number to be called. I ordered two tinga and two pollo street tacos. The cashier was nice, he seemed flustered with the large crowd. The goods: Here's why I'm giving three stars: They never called my number. They call number in Spanish and English, they called 105, 107, 108....when I heard 109 in Spanish I went to the register. Apparently my order, 106 was put in as pickup and not takeout so it had been in the warming drawer for 15 minutes. I was a bit frustrated but grabbed my food and left. The tinga tacos were excellent. Well seasoned, juicy and the fresh tortillas made them perfect. The pollo (grilled chicken) were very dry and bland. After drowning them in salsa verde they were edible at best. The Jamaica drink was very tart, I'm used to it being sweeter and more balanced. I would go back on a different day to see if the service and quality are better. But for $2 a taco, it's not a bad deal. read more

Arrived shortly before 7. Place wasn't too busy but did seem to have a steady trickle of customers arrive after I ordered. Service was quick from the point of ordering to grabbing my to go order. Place looked clean and uncluttered. Sadly, they were out of the shredded beef for the quesabirria and said they could only make it with the carne asada. I decided to try it anyway and order a street taco as well so I could have one without cheese. The meat for the asada itself is flavorful, probably more seasoned than I've had at other taco shops. The asada reminded me of gyro meat, texture wise (not saying that's a good or bad thing, it just did). The salsas were nicely seasoned and had a good amount of zip. Might be too spicy for someone who can't handle spice. They have a little salsa bar where you can dish your own salsa to go. The consume for the birria tacos was not as well seasoned as I'd hoped. I much preferred to eat the tacos with the salsas. I wonder if the tortillas are handmade as they weren't uniform in size. I have absolutely no issue with that, but just wanted to note that it might be something to appreciate if they are handmade. read more

Employee was very rude to me when I asked him for salsa verde. Avocado salsa is not salsa verde! When I asked the employee he yelled at me LOOK THATS ALL WE HAVE! I will never come back. I do not recommend this place at all! Food tastes plain do not waste your money here! There are better restaurants with more respectful employees. read more

I'm not usually someone to leave a review one way or another but my experience at El Super Taco was too ick to ignore. The worker flipped my tortillas on the grill using her gloved hands, even though the spatula was sitting right there. Then she used the same gloves to grab a used rag from a bucket and start wiping down the food counter, then grabbed a tub of cheese and used the same gloves hand to grab cheese and put it in my tortilla, and later the rest of my food. I'm not a confrontational person so I just paid for my food and threw it away but OMG how gross. read more

From the tacos to the tostadas to the burritos to the quesadillas to the salsa to the meat and queso. Amen!! Come here. These were the best tacos in town two months ago. Had them again yesterday and it was such a disappointment. The quesabirria tacos had no meat in them, small amount of cheese but for the most part the taco was just filled with raw onion. So sad. read more
