Delicious fresh food. Homemade sauces are so good! Great service too. Tacos were amazing and the wings, fries, sandwich was perfect.

I don't want to lower my rating because I'm genuinely glad to have Tacos and Go in Lake Elmo. The food has been great, it's authentic Mexican food, and it's a convenient location. But I've had two bad experiences with the same employee in the drive thru and it's hard to ignore. The first time, my wife and I ordered two meals and were given just one small salsa, not enough for even one person. When we came back to ask for more, her attitude was noticeably rude. The second visit wasn't any better. We ordered four tacos, she repeated the order correctly, but we were only given three. When I pointed it out, she tried to charge my card again for the missing taco instead of fixing the mistake. On top of that, we were again given just one small salsa. When we asked for more, she walked away, said something under her breath, and came back with a couple more with an attitude like we were bothering her. I'm not sure what her issue is, but being greeted with friendliness and basic customer service goes a long way. These experiences have made me think twice about coming back when she's working, which is disappointing because I do like the place overall. read more

We were in the area trying to kill time while waiting for someone. We walked into this taco shop, cute restaurant. Not too big, has maybe 6 tables and chairs to dine in. I was surprised they have drive thru window lane. They have the machete taco as well, this is 12 inch taco. Basically 3 tacos long. And also taco platter. I had some seriously wonderful pastor street tacos. I'm pretty serious about my pastor tacos, and I've been back TWICE to get them here. Homemade salsa options, clean shop, such friendly people. The rice side is the best I've had at any Latin restaurant recently - flavorful, not dry, no weird dry mix-ins. The pinto beans are seasoned really well and not overly salty. The Lake Elmo / Woodbury / Oakdale citizens are blessed with authentic deliciousness, and I look forward to it being there for many moons to come! read more

Flavorful, juicy, and well-seasoned--definitely a solid 4/5. I also grabbed two freshly fried churros and wow... crispy on the outside, soft inside, and perfectly sweet. 5/5 for those bad boys. Service was good--friendly staff and my food was ready within five minutes. Perfect for a quick bite without sacrificing quality. The space itself is tiny, probably seats around 16 people max, so it's best for solo diners or small groups. The vibe is very casual, and the space looks new and very clean. We ate inside. Clean and great service. Burrito was $10 - cuz it was Burrito Wednesday. Also got the brisket street taco which was excellent - the side of bbq sauce is not needed though. Enjoy your taco with their variety of hot sauces instead. They also have a drive thru which we haven't tried out yet. read more

Barbacoa, pastor and chorizo meat in the street tacos had good flavor but was given only one corn tortilla per taco and they weren't grilled enough so the tacos fell apart. The thick handmade Gordita tortilla was doughy and soggy. Asada meat didn't have much flavor. The chips were stale. read more

Odd name, odd flavors, odd lack of any smell of food when you enter. We tried the street tacos with chicken and al pastor as well as the taco 954 I think with al pastor and carnitas and some chips and guacamole. Al pastor with added pineapple bits was too sweet and very greasy, so much so the single corn tortilla failed and spilled all over. Food took almost 15 mins to prepare so if your thinking Chipotle replacement think again. These had to be the smallest tortillas I've ever been served and at $4.25 for each taco they were subpar. Carnitas and chicken lacked flavor and the inconsistency of the chicken indicated it had been refrigerated or frozen for much too long. Guac was decent but very chipotle like as were the chips. Salsa choices were decent. Too many other much better options in the area. Should have trusted our noses and the lack of any discernible taco or Mexican restaurant smell. read more

Finally decent tacos in the area, service was quick, but not so quick that you feel like they had everything ready in the back on steam trays, counter guy was really nice. i thought the tacos were very flavorful, the beans were delicious and they're on the fresh hot sauce is amazing! Saw this new place passing by, so I thought I'd give them a try! I went on Tuesday taco Tuesday that is where the tacos are a dollar off the regular price on Tuesdays. I got 2 steak tacos,2 carnitas,and 1 pastor. Also some rice. The rice was Fiyah (meaning really good) very well seasoned nice and soft. It was really good so was that El Pastore Street taco mad I only got one of those and they weren't stingy with the meat either!! That steak, nice tender, the grill flavor was really nice. It was also seasoned very well, but the Carnitas, which is my favorite street taco was very bland and dry and was the two with the least meat. The service was really good. The ladies were very nice. I wish I could've tipped them but their credit card machine isn't set up for tips so go with cash. The place was nice and clean and the decorations were really nice. Wonderful experience! We had tacos, burritos, and beans in our group. All was delicious and fresh! Service was quick and friendly! Small place, would have liked to see more seating but also seemed like most people just picked up their food and left. So badly wanted to like this place but unfortunately it was a swing and a miss for us. I ordered a bowl with carnitas. The meat tasted odd to me (maybe warmed up in a microwave?) and there was nothing that stood out, flavor wise, for this dish. Also disappointing that they use mozzarella. Husband got a street taco and a quesadilla. He chose al pastor for the taco. It had pineapple in the meat and was better than the carnitas, although the shells were chewy and also made me wonder if they were microwaved to warm up. He got chicken for the quesadilla and it was fine. The place was extremely clean and tidy and the person working the register was friendly. Food came out quickly (we were the only ones there).
