What an amazing surprise I just had after deciding to give this tiny little place a try after years of just driving right by. The saying good things come in small packages definitely applies. Small having nothing to do with portion size in this case. Hailing from Southern California I can say with authority on such matters, this place is serving the BEST breakfast burrito in Northeast Kansas. In fact, I would say I've only ever had one other place that equals it. Unfortunately, you're gonna have to travel 1,500 miles southwest of here to match it! Can't wait to come back. This place looks a little sketchy but it's not. It's clean and the food is soooooo good! We LOVE the tacos. They make them with potatoes and a fresh shell. The elotes are good too and their tamales are big, fresh, and delicious! I've never had anything from here I didn't like! Pretty great tacos! The specials are awesome. The last time I went, I went on Tuesday. The special is buy for $1 tacos and get an order of chips and salsa or queso for free. So the last time I got alllllll the way home and realized I didn't have the chips and queso. I was annoyed but at least I didn't pay for it. That's my only complaint. Was looking for quick, delicious, and authentic Mexican food while passing through Topeka, and this place for the bill. A stones throw from the interstate you can get yourself a good meal and get back on the road in no time. I had a burrito al pastor, and it was delicious, as were their sauces. My only complaint was that the burrito could have been a little more full for the price. I'll definitely stop for a burrito next time I'm passing through. read more

This is probably one of the most overlooked places to go in Topeka for quick, inexpensive, genuinely tasty, fresh, Mexican food. Ive been here several times, but honestly I mostly stick to the Steak Nachos because they are DELICIOUS!! Only issue I have is that they arw closed on Sunday. DEFINITELY worth a visit. Ok, being a Hispanic born and raised in Arizona if there is one thing I know, it's Mexican food. This place would even make my nana weep with joy. We had 3 different of the meat street tacos (carne asada, barbacoa, and cochinita pibil) and they were perfect in every way. From the fresh made corn tortillas that were like silk clouds to deliver the perfect bite of moist spiced meat to the cold Mexican cola to wash it all down, it didn't disappoint. Tried El Taquito Express for the first time tonight. Had the shrimp tacos, and I must say they had the best shrimp tacos I've ever had in my life! I have tried shrimp tacos from just about anywhere that sells them, and I've never had anything come close to as good as El Taquitos I wasn't extremely impressed with their regular hard shell beef tacos. The shells were "over fried." Also tried their chicken burrito and tostada, and the family said the tostada was delicious. Their chicken burrito tasted pretty identical to Panchos! So in short, try the shrimp tacos!! You won't be disappointed. read more

The problem with going here is after the first time you will want to come back every day.....before you know it you are addicted! I would've really like to say that I was able to try the food but after waiting at the drive-through for 5 to 10 minutes and pressing the button repeatedly. Finally I honked my horn because another vehicle was behind me at this point so I waited few more minutes then press the gas I got about a foot away from the window as I see someone open the window and I like to think that I'm pretty understanding because I worked in restaurants for 10 years at least. I said o hey I pressed your button and he said well it doesn't work OK well I honked my horn also really just looking for a "im sorry you sat here for 10 minutes" but he very rudely told me well I'm busy all right well I guess if you're so busy then I'll go ahead and take my business elsewhere. I'm new to Topeka and I'm really just looking for a hole in the wall taco place to call my own but I guess that won't be it. read more

I used to love this place, I went there often, almost 3 times a week, since April 2018 new owners have took over and I can say I see the change, they are rude, there food is nothing like it use to be. At 1st I thought oh they will get better well July 2018 will be my last visit. They had $1 tacos on Tuesday not only did they get my order completely wrong and the food was not fresh at 12pm but they also over charged me. I asked for 4 crunchy tacos total $6.93 I asked why and they said well if you want a crunchy taco its extra?!?!? So I just paid the extra but im confused they don't do soft tacos and if I want it crunchy its extra? Well what kind of taco am I supposed to get? They will be shut down in a matter of months with this kind of service....... read more

It's good food but ordered one day and was watching through the drive through window. I seen the lady grabbing my steak meat w bare fingers and no gloves and putting it in my buttito. She noticed me watching then tried to dump instead of grab. I gave them a piece of my mind and havnt been back since. Good food not sanitary. read more
