Go to the inside location. This review applies to that location only they are right next to each other. They have a great bar. The food is unbelievable. Went three nights in a row. The Mofongo was outstanding. Everything was excellent and the food is plentiful. The service is really good and friendly, and they have good air conditioning. The food in the outside place is really nice, but if it's a hot summer day, I prefer to eat inside in a nice air conditioned location. Can't wait to go back.!! read more

12/1/22: Restaurant was recommended by a hotel employee in Ponce. We stopped by for a late lunch. There are several restaurants in the area with a decent sized parking lot. As you drive by the water the road forms a triangle. There was plenty of seating available and our hostess was friendly. They make all kinds of mojitos here, with fresh fruit. The beer was very cold. I had a couple of pizza turnovers which arrived pretty quickly. I had to ask our hostess a couple of times about our mofongo, which was taking much longer than expected. Once the mofongo finally arrived, it tasted good, and is plenty for two people. Nice ocean view and the dining area had been newly constructed. read more

Boy, am I stuffed!! Alright so there are two locations and this location is bigger. Upon coming in I really liked the interior of the dining room. We were not greeted, however, but that is because you sit yourself so there is no host/hostess. The a\c works great which was awesome since I just came from the beach. The bathroom was clean but there was no soap or paper towels. Luckily, I had hand sanitizer in my bag. There was available parking and it's free. The menu is very clear and organized. Prices are relatively expensive but it was super delicious! This place has authentic Puerto Rican dishes so yeah it's a little expensive. The food took a little while but keep in mind it was because of the mofongo. My sister-in-law ordered a non mofongo dish and got it real quick. I had the chicken mofongo and it was super delicious. The presentation came out in the pilon (see pictures) which makes it harder to eat so you can scoop everything out and put it on your plate. My husband had the skirt steak and holy crap it was so good! My friend had the conch and shrimp and it was delicious. Also, the $7 margarita was super strong and you will be happy with just one, unless you want to be real happy lol. The service was great and the server was real friendly and down to earth. Omg if you love flan get the coconut one! Super delicious and authentic. The vanilla flan was very generic. The only negative I have is that they have no coffee, they brought my sister-in-law food very early so she had to watch us eat after our food came out (so tip ask for the food to come out all together) and they "can't" split your group check so bring cash! We went on a Tuesday around 5pm and it wasn't busy. Service was very attentive. Food was fresh and very tasty. The seafood was generous compared to other restaurants we've been to in Puerto Rico. We tried lobster stew with tostones de pana, mofongo relleno con chillo (red snapper), chilló relleno con langosta y camarones, mofongo relleno de langosta. We also had appetizer of surrullitos. One weird thing was the shrimp in the stuffed snapper had their tails on but just beware of that. The drinks were okay. We had margarita and piña colado. Food was definitely better. read more

This is the #1 or Original one, located at the end of the main street. The location is more like an old house and you eat at the patio (that's why the 4 stars) but is the place to come and have fresh seafood and fish. There is another one with the same name. Ut more expensive and the food is not as good as this one. Ask the locals to get into the right one. read more

We LOVED this place. The best mofongo we've had during our stay here. Lots of flavor, the fried pork was INSANE! It was super tender, only the best pieces of meat, again the pork was very flavorful too. Didn't need any sauce to make it amazing. We did have their locally made hot sauce on the side and it packed a punch without over powering. So good. Their empanadas were amazing as well. We had one of nearly every kind they had. To start we walked in and saw only two employees. The bartender and a waiter. We sat down after they took our temperature which is fine. We sat on the table, looked at the menu and 30 mins later, I had to called the waiter and asked him to take my order. Obviously I told him everything I wanted including drinks, appetizers and food. Another 30 mins later they brought our sorullitos and 2 empanadas which were ok. We them finally had the beers. Another 30-45 mins later, the food came. I had to get my own ketchup, oil and vinegar from a table next to us that was dirty for hours and the sad thing is that more people were coming in because this place is suppose to be awesome. Sad enough, we finished eating and I decided to write all this and my boyfriend had to go to the bar and pay because no one came to even asked if we wanted more drinks or dessert or pay the bill. First and foremost, if you are anywhere in the Caribbean, be aware of the "Island Time". Having said that, expect your dining experience to be at least 2 hours, longer if its crowded. The atmosphere is relax overlooking the ocean. I suggest parking near the street or gamble for a spot behind the restaurant. It gets busy really fast. I tried the local cuisine Mofongo. You can have it with your choice of meat, Beef, Pork, chicken or any seafood. The dish comes with mashed plantain and serve in a wooden goblet. Its huge and delicious! We chose to eat outside of the restaurant (in the back patio) and had a beautiful view of the ocean. The restaurant wasn't too busy when we came. Perhaps this is why we received such great service. We were a party of 8 and didn't have to wait very long for services. The food came out hot and delicious. Everyone was very pleased with the Fried Red Snapper and the empanadillas de juelles. We saw that the place had less than great reviews but we came here on a recommendation from family. As such my expectations weren't too high but to my surprise, it was pretty good.
