I wish I could have given more stars, but if I'm being honest the pastor tacos were very bland and lacked flavor. With the lime juice and guacamole it helped the flavor but I ended up forcing myself to eat it. The first time we came in there was no one around so we kept walking around and then circled back where we were then greeted and seated. The taco plate comes with four tacos but you can only choose one protein. Out of the five or six they had listed they only had pibil and pastor-- I asked for two pibil and two pastor and I was told I could only get one choice-- I think I made the wrong choice. The mango and cardamom ice cream was delicious! The restaurant is beautiful. Ojalá pudiera haber dado más estrellas, pero si soy sincero, los tacos de pastor eran muy suaves y carecían de sabor. Con el jugo de lima y el guacamole ayudó al sabor pero terminé obligándome a comerlo. La primera vez que llegamos no había nadie alrededor, así que seguimos caminando y luego volvimos en círculos donde nos recibieron y nos sentaron. El plato de tacos viene con cuatro tacos, pero solo puedes elegir una proteína. De los cinco o seis que habían enumerado, solo tenían pibil y pastor. Pedí dos pibil y dos pastor y me dijeron que solo podía elegir una opción. Creo que tomé la decisión equivocada. ¡El helado de mango y cardamomo estaba delicioso! El restaurante es hermoso.
My husband and I visited this place for lunch and I must say we had the best vegetarian food. The place looks lovely and has simple vibes. We had falafel and stuffed chilli( poblano), it tastes amazing. We also had plunch juice and mango lassi, it was so good that we also did some to go order for beetroot and orange juice. Marie Luce was our host and she is one lovely lady highly recommend this place

This hidden gem in the backstreets of Tulum is worth the adventure. The menu was full of local favorites not commonly found elsewhere. Though the portions, ingredients, and presentation are reminiscent of a fancy restaurant, the home style taste was especially unique. The brownie for dessert is a must!
There's so many amazing vegetarian options! It was so hard for me to choose one. I had the champiburgur and the lol ha smoothie... omg SO good! The lol ha smoothie was amazing!! So refreshing and has a slight taste of cinnamon. The champiburgur was SO good! Very flavorful and I loved how it came with chipotle sauce. If you're not a fan of mushrooms (which is me) you might not like it... there's mushrooms in the patty but you can pull them out. They also provide you chips and salsa which was very delicious! The staff are all very friendly! I definitely recommend coming here! The food, staff, and menu options are fantastically delicious! I will definitely be coming back to try more dishes!!
Its a pretty good place to slow down your meat routine. I am personally one of them. I have tried their house salad with a sauce taste like mango, and also the dish of the day, "meat" ball with a pretty good quality. I would definitely come back
Easily my favorite restaurant in Tulum. I got the stuffed poblano dish with rice and the flavors were so complimentary and savory that I couldn't help but clean the plate. We also ordered the guacamole maya which I have to say is the best guacamole I've ever had. Having grown up in Los Angeles, I don't take this statement lightly at all. It was served with a light garlic sauce and a verde habanero sauce. Both were perfect and were heavily applied to everything I ate, not because they needed it, but because I am obsessed with sauces. The service was friendly and attentive and it was fun to watch the chef prepare the food in the open kitchen.
As soon as you walk into place, you know it's going to be a special experience. You don't find too many vegetarian/pescatarian restaurants in small towns in Mexico. The decor is creative, simple, and in good taste. Though it's an on the curb of a busy highway, it was immaculate in terms of cleanliness. The music was very diverse; I think they played African-French cumbia. Hipsters and hippies will love this place. The food was fresh and delicious! My personal favorite were the chips served with an exquisite habanero salsa, the most amazing humus, and a sweet fruit-pulp salsa. Our waiter, a French Mexican and some other stuff was super friendly and helpful. We will be back when we come back to Tulum.
Relaxing little restaurant. I ordered a smoothie and it was delicious. My boyfriend got a mojito and it was also fantastic. The atmosphere is very relaxing since they have tons of plants and were playing classical music. Loved this cute place.
Delicious, filling, healthy food. My husband had the club sandwich and I ate the falafel with with a green juice. This little restaurant exceeded our expectations.
The food is great and very healthy and the servers are all very kind and accommodating! I highly recommend coming here. I had the Chile relleno and iced coffee. The prices are very reasonable. Can't wait to come back.
Ok. Now, we have been here both for breakfast AND dinner!! The reviews don't lie. Both were EXCELLENT!!! Their juices are EXCEPTIONAL, as was the lentil salad and grilled portobello mushroom!!! We'll be back a third time to have another!!!

El Vegetariano is one of the highly rated Vegan/Vegetarian restaurant. This is my review on why it fell short of 5 stars. Food: We ordered falafel and shamed with Mexican chese. If any Indian is reading this Mexican Panela cheese is like a sister of paneer, they will use it to garnish your bowl. I liked my falafel, wifey had an okish experience with her bowl(too much yucca or potato). Salsa and chips were ok. Dessert was good, vegan no egg berry pie. Coffee only had almond milk and was just fine. Staff: The owner spoke Spanish but was understanding and nice to have a conversation with. It's not the restaurant's fault but we expected a lot from them after Charlie's Vegan Tacos and Co.Canamor. read more
Mushroom burger was moist and delicious, although I wish they had a gluten-free healthy bread. The falafel were too dry for me. The yucca and sweet potato chips were outstanding. Especially the sauce that came with them - a little spicy and so flavorful. And the vegan berry cheesecake was out of this world! read more
An absolute gem of a place in downtown Tulum. I love finding restaurants like this one. The vibe is super chill, the staff is accommodating and the food is simple - just real food. They also have a lovely backyard. Overall a great place to eat where it's quiet and you can connect to the Wi-Fi. During my first visit I had the camote y yucca fritas & the falafel pita. The second time I came for lunch I ordered huevos a la mexicana from the breakfast menu. The food was lovely both times! Most importantly, you cannot miss the fresh juices they make here. I had the antigripal (orange + ginger) as well as 2 from the house mixes: pachi and kabal. These two are the most popular juices, my server told me. They are both green juices with a base of orange and chaya. Would love to come back and recommend to anyone who enjoys vegetarian and vegan food! read more

My husband and I visited this place for lunch and I must say we had the best vegetarian food. The place looks lovely and has simple vibes. My husband and I stopped in to have lunch here while in Tulum. We both ordered the vegan tacos and smoothies. Everything was delicious! My nearly carnivorous husband loved the vegan tacos too! Everything was very fresh and full of flavor! I'd definitely recommend trying it! read more

Very good vegetarian restaurant on the Main Street (Avenida Tulum) of tulum. They have several different options at very reasonable prices. Most items were about $70 pesos each. We started with a fresh juice. I had pineapple and mint while my husband had apple and ginger. He ordered the eggplant dish which was unavailable but substituted for an eggplant, tomato, mozzarella stack. I ordered the stuffed poblano pepper which the waitress said was the most popular Mexican dish on the menu. Both dishes came with your choice of lentils, rice , or vegetables. I had veggies and he had rice. We enjoyed both dishes. We also ordered guacamole which was good. The total price was $265 pesos or $21 dollars which is very reasonable compared to some of the other restaurants in town. We would return to try other items such as the stuffed pumpkin. read more

Satisfies the veggie and seafood lover in your crowd. The veggie burger is the standout at this convenient spot on the main drag of Tulum. Of the five guacs we had in Tulum, El Veg's was the consensus favorite. Grilled catch o day was perfectly prepared and the seafood pasta was hearty and flavorful with homemade fresh pasta. Salad was fresh, generous and had an interesting pineapple ginger dressing. House made vegan ice cream is a treat on a hot Tulum night. Service friendly; open air atmosphere, tropical with thatch and bamboo. A solid choice in a town of good Eatin options. read more

Despite its name, you can find non-vegetarian food on the menu. I had a delicious fish taco. Definitely order one The pineapple and onion salsa is tasty. I was eating it by itself after I finished my taco. The shrimp in the shrimp taco were very small and disappointing. The salmon and the portobello mushroom plates are recommended. read more

Best vegan, vegetarian food in the area. I had the falafel and it was so good, rich with flavor and not dry like some falafel I've had. My boyfriend had the stuffed chili poblano and it had so many fresh vegetables! The plates were beautiful and the staff was friendly and attentive. The location is nice too, it's relaxed and is a more quiet area which makes a nice change to the craziness of the main strip. read more
