    Breakfast in Tulum
    Jade G.

This is a very small vegan resturant and when it's busy you should already know you need to be patient and wait. The decor is very warm and welcoming and staff of very friendly but I would suggest adding more people. While during the pandemic it maybe slow it would almost impossible for one cook to keep up with this very small work space. The cashier is also working on the kitchen and serving. This is a all vegan Reaturant so be sure you inquire about anything if you are expecting the "usual". For instance no milk ( only almond, soy and coconut milk) so for coffee lovers who want whole milk this is t your place. However I had a latte with an extra shot of espresso and coconut milk and what a tropical delight this was. Coconut milk here is much sweeter than the United States. They have about 6 f different smoothies and an array of various items from fresh juices to breakfast and small Lunch menus. I ordered coffee, smoothie and breakfast sandwich. It was only two other people in the restaurant and it took 40 min A bit long .. but welcome to the relaxed life .. P.s the food presentation was very nice.

By far the best vegan restaurant in Tulum! I wish I would have known about this place when I first arrived in Tulum, I would have come everyday! But nonetheless I'm very happy I came in during my last day and everything was amazing. We got the fresh squeezed Orange juice and caramel Frappuccino to drink and both were so refreshing. To eat we got the cinnamon French toast and the chilaquiles with vegan egg and soyrizo and everything was incredible!! The dessert looked really good too and they had many options but we were too full to order more food! Diego was our server and he was so friendly and gave so many great suggestions! We cannot wait to come back in the future to try more dishes! Highly recommend this place!! You will not regret it!

I'm not even vegan, but I was really excited to come to this place because I really wanted to try some of their tamales or a tamal (saving stomach room because I had so many places I wanted to eat at). The people here couldn't have been any sweeter and I love that when you walk through the restaurant to get to the beautiful backyard dining area, you're pretty much walking through the kitchen and seeing that the food looks like it's homemade and fresh. To have a complete meal where I felt like I was eating clean, I ordered the green juice along with my papadzul tamal. The description for this tamal was - traditional pre-Hispanic Mayan salsa made with roasted pumpkin seeds, amaranth, tomato, and habanero. Now I had a lot of tamales in my time, but I wanted to try something that felt really local and this sounded perfect to me. They brought out my food with some sauces on the side - a tomato salsa that was not spicy, some pickled onions with habanero, and some habanero smoke infused olive oil. I really loved the food here specially with that style of tamal wrapped in banana leaf. And sitting in such a beautiful setting as well. I can't recommend this place enough and I would love to come back and try some of their other tamales.

I have had my fair share of beet burgers and vegan nachos, but at Laylo, the beet-meat burger and the nachos were the best I have ever had! There is limited seating inside the lounge and outside in the patio but it's nice and quiet. Also try their tropical smoothie which has Mango, Papaya, Almond Milk, and coconut! We had a chance to speak to the chef and he was kind enough to explain his journey on how he develops new vegan dishes for the menu. Definitely a must-stop if you are looking for a delicious vegan restaurant in Tulum.

I had the coconut bowl! It was especially scrumptious after a day of swimming in the cenotes! Definitely no complains! My belly was filled with glee and my body thanked me for the nutrition! Everybody was happy! Everything is fresh and delicious. Staff mentioned items are made to order, which is uncommon to be honest. It seems many places serves per-made dishes. I really wanted to visit for their breakfast vegan French toast. Apparently the bread is custom made at a local bakery! However, there seems to be issues with the kitchen so they were not open the morning before my flight. With that said, it is definitely worth visiting.

An absolute gem of a place in downtown Tulum…read more I love finding restaurants like this one. The vibe is super chill, the staff is accommodating and the food is simple - just real food. They also have a lovely backyard. Overall a great place to eat where it's quiet and you can connect to the Wi-Fi. During my first visit I had the camote y yucca fritas & the falafel pita. The second time I came for lunch I ordered huevos a la mexicana from the breakfast menu. The food was lovely both times! Most importantly, you cannot miss the fresh juices they make here. I had the antigripal (orange + ginger) as well as 2 from the house mixes: pachi and kabal. These two are the most popular juices, my server told me. They are both green juices with a base of orange and chaya. Would love to come back and recommend to anyone who enjoys vegetarian and vegan food!

If any Indian is reading this Mexican Panela cheese is like a sister of paneer, they will use it to garnish your bowl. I liked my falafel, wifey had an okish experience with her bowl(too much yucca or potato). Salsa and chips were ok. Dessert was good, vegan no egg berry pie. Coffee only had almond milk and was just fine. Staff: The owner spoke Spanish but was understanding and nice to have a conversation with. It's not the restaurant's fault but we expected a lot from them after Charlie's Vegan Tacos and Co.Canamor.
