I've had over a dozen sessions with her and she has helped me overcome a host of issues I've struggled to deal with for a very long time like my insomnia and bronchitis. She's also great at recommending supplements and herbs to help boost my immunity during this crazy winter season. I schedule with her when I'm dealing with a nagging problem or when I am in dire need of stress relief. Lisa has a knack for sensing these things and knows how to keep me calm to let me know that everything will be alright. At her facility, Lisa always takes her time to get to know her patients. You are a name and not a number. She cares about what you are going through not just physically, but mentally and tailors a personalized treatment plan on a holistic level. Every time I leave her facility, I feel at peace with myself, feeling relaxed and reinvigorated. Looking back, it was the best move I could make to enhance my overall health and well-being. I've experienced the following complementary treatments with my acupuncture like Gua Sha, Reiki and Electro acupuncture; all have helped me in some way to revitalize and restore my (Qi or Chi) energy. Not only is Lisa an experienced licensed acupuncturist but I also found out that she's an astrologer! I own a few astrology books and was always interested in the field. A few weeks ago, I purchased an hour long personal natal chart reading from Lisa done on Zoom. It was truly an eye opening experience and she went into great detail about my personality and delved into the many planetary facets that make up who I am. My personalized reading also gave me insight into how the planets are going to affect me in the year ahead which I found to be very fascinating. Lastly, patient safety and health is the utmost concern at this time. She is very fastidious in keeping her treatment room sanitary and she requires all patients to wear a mask as she too wears one. Temperature screens are done at the entrance and the extra precautionary measures made me feel safe overall. Parking is plentiful in the free lot next door and her hours are accommodating to the 9-5 folk on select weekdays and weekends. Dr. Brod was able to diagnose the problem and make appropriate adjustments. She has made other adjustments in past appointments to alleviate some lower back pain as well. This past appointment - yesterday - she saw me on the same day I called because I was having a migraine due to my neck. Due to chronic conditions, I've been in chiropractic for decades including with some very well…read moreknown personalities in the chiropractic world. I've gotten by with some relief due, in part, to them knowing my conditions and being flexible with plans, etc over time and treating me like a friend of the family. Yet, sadly, that relief was minimal and temporary. Likewise, it was difficult to get to and park at the previous chiropractor to the point where it was prohibitive to go. So, I went on a journey to find a new chiropractor closer to home with the additional hope of seeing improvement in a larger scale. Every TBC and Dr. Andrea. Everything you read about the space, the personality and the 'care' she has is absolutely true. That's not to mention technique and application of technique. I'm a big guy, 6'3, 315, and she is able to manually adjust me with no real problem although I do challenge her. But most importantly, I'm seeing and feeling real relief and real change in only a few visits. She literally moved my right SI joint into place AND adjusted pelvic rotation that NO ONE ELSE was able to achieve in years if not decades. I was terrified about "being cracked", but she was gentle with my first few treatments and got me back in line in no time. I was skeptical about seeing a chiropractor, my parents having seen them for years with varying degrees of success - but Dr. Andrea also specializes in something called ART, and I believe that it has been this therapy that has helped me greatly in pain relief and now in actual sports medicine. Since that first visit I have become a runner and am currently training for the Chicago Marathon. I have seen Dr. Andrea fairly religiously through all of my training and I credit her treatments to my ability to keep running and lose a significant amount of weight along the way with little to no back, leg, foot or knee pain. I trust her opinions and would be loathe to have to go anywhere else for treatment at this point. I really feel like she takes the time to get to know her patients and follow their progress through excellent treatment.
