On October 30th, I received three services at Elan Organic Nail Boutique: a Russian manicure, a pedicure, and a brow wax. Unfortunately, the quality of all three services fell far short of what was advertised, what I had expected based on past reviews, and what was discussed with the technician. Needless to say, after my first visit to Elan Organic Nail Boutique, I am utterly devastated by my experience. The Russian manicure with GelX did not meet my expectations. The pedicure felt rushed and incomplete, as the calluses were not removed as promised. Lastly and most importantly, I am extremely upset about my brows. The woman who did my brows literally ripped a patch of hair out. Tried to hide it by filling my brows in immediately after waxing and plucking them so I wouldn't notice. It was disheartening that she didn't even acknowledge her mistake, and allowed me to go on about my day as if nothing happened. Imagine how I felt looking in the mirror after washing my face, only to discover a noticeable chunk missing from my eyebrows. The very next morning, I reached out to the salon to request a refund, hoping to resolve these issues amicably. Although the owner initially agreed to fully refund me, she later reneged on her promise. To add insult to injury, the owner insisted that I come in person so she could assess my brows, despite the fact that I had already sent her clear photographs demonstrating the bald spot that wasn't there when I arrived at the salon the piror day. The request was particularly inconvenient, given that I live on the opposite side of town and had to endure a 30-minute drive to the salon, followed by an hour back through Atlanta's notorious rush hour traffic. When I met with her, the owner was not empathetic to the fact that I was devastated at the fact that I was missing a chuck of my eyebrow, but instead made comments like "I need to calm down." She went on to make more excuses, claiming she didn't know what my brows looked like before the service. However, everyone in the nail salon the prior day saw what my brows looked like before getting the wax. I even provided her before pictures and she tried to dismiss those by saying I had on makeup or there was a filter. Which are all false. She continued to dismiss my concerns with comments like, "sometimes things like this happen." In what universe is it ok to botch a customer's wax on their face and try to cover it up? I'll wait. Then try to gaslight said person and not provide a refund for the pain, suffering and inconvenience of it all. I feel completely undervalued as a customer. DO NOT patronize this business. Under no circumstances will I ever return to this establishment again. read more

I really wanted to like this place, especially since it claims to be organic/non-toxic. This is my second time here. When I walked in today I felt like the place is NOT clean. I sat down anyway to give them another try. I had a 4:30 appointment. I arrived at 4:26, picked my color & was instructed to sit down at a chair/table that was dirty, tools everywhere from the last service and I was just grossed out. They removed the old tools before starting my nails, but didn't wipe anything down. After I sat down, I was waiting for the manicurist to do my nails and was told around 4:35 that she would be here in 10 minutes. She wasn't even at the salon!! The reason this bothered me so much was because of their policies. They are so strict, which I understand because people will cancel/no show/arrive late. However, I would expect them to be on time. My service was supposed to be an hour and 15 minutes. I was started at 4:45 and she rushed to finish me at 5:40 to get to another client and did not finish my nails. I got dip powder and she did not clean up my nails after, get rid of the excess powder, or anything like that. The shape of my nails look terrible on top of it. I will not be returning and to top the whole experience off, after feeling like things were not clean, a roach started crawling around comfortably. The staff noticed and did nothing. Couldn't be more disappointed and disgusted. On top of all of that, their services are not cheap!!! Overall, I just have to say that this place has gone downhill. Also, could've been the day I went since it was a random Tuesday and barely anyone was there. Maybe the business keeps things tidy on busier days. Oh well. read more

Elan is by far the best nail salon I have ever been to. I randomly hated my nails and gave them a try back in June and I've been coming ever since. I get the Russian manicure and express pedi and it's always flawless. Everyone is amazing, professional, and accommodating !!! So yeah, this is my new spot. I made a 4pm reservation online for the organic deluxe pedicure with gel polish. They were fully prepared for me when I arrived on-time, and I loved the one-on-one attention from my nail tech. Very professional, relaxed environment with friendly energy from both the nail techs and clients. Gloria is my girl. I wanted white toes but not too bright white, and Gloria did her thing. She also took good care of me with gentle cuticle trims, foot scrub, and massage. I highly recommend making a reservation (especially for any non-basic service) because they take their time to make sure you're taken care of. Otherwise, the best days for walk-ins are probably Fridays when they're fully staffed. Note: they don't do acrylics, but they do gel-x. read more

I initially liked this place, but due to my two most recent experiences with them- I won't be back. The first time I got my nails done by the owner, 2 of my gel x nails popped completely off within 3 days. I've been getting gel x for over a year and have never had that happen, even with sometimes going a month between appointments. Skip to my most recent appointment, I called to tell them that due to a last minute work meeting I would not be able to make my appointment. No one answered and by the time I got a callback it was 45 minutes passed the time of my appointment, and I could not answer due to being in a meeting. No voicemail was left and they didn't text as we often have, instead THEY CHARGED 2 OF MY CARDS $85. I understand a cancellation fee, but charging the full price of a service after I tried to contact them and with no disclaimer of a cancellation fee when booking is actually illegal. The owner is rude and any good review is because she gives a "discount" on your service. read more

Unfortunately, this salon was not what I was expecting at all. I was expecting an organic salon and it was not. First, I asked about non toxic nail polish and the tech said they all were non toxic- that was not true, there is only one side that is closer to being non toxic. My nails (gel) literally chipped the very next day, not even 24 hours later, and there were bubbles in the gel of my nails. It took over 2.5 hours for a pedi and gel manicure. I called to get them redone - which was an inconvenience that I had to go back to begin with. The website said open on Sunday and they are not. I called and they said that the original tech would have to do my nails again and I didn't want that because she didn't do them right to begin with. And since someone else did them, that person took her payment that I had originally paid her, which doesn't seem right either. Even after getting them completely redone, there were still bubbles in them, and my nails have been messed up since. The inside wasn't as clean as I was expecting. I just think I had different expectations. Every one else there seemed to love the place and many were regulars, so maybe it was just the nail polish was old or something? read more
